If you EVER get the opportunity to see this group live, GO. I saw them last night not knowing what to expect and I was blown away. It's even more amazing seeing this all happen live. They performed this last night and it was absolutely stunning.
As an Argentine, I can't help my eyes filling with tears every time I listen Libertango, but this is something else. Excellent version!

They are the best. P E R I O D. I discovered them in the 60's and they still are the best. I love when they sing Bach and I'm sure Bach does too!!
The woman who sang in the black and white scenes with the suspended microphone has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard.
And sorry, but the starting was not of the libertango but something of a yemeniten theme as far as I guess.

Back in the early 1960’s I had an album of the original Swingle Singers, from France. They were quite unique, and I listened to their record for hours.
Love Piazzola. Was introduced to him by a Brazilian parent when I was teaching. Snuck off one lunch time for a concert getting friends to cover my absence!

To date this is still my favorite from “The Swingle Singers.” Not only was the performance of the song spectacular, but the video is extremely well done. It told a story that really complimented the music perfectly. The editing and camera work were spot on. Thank you.
You are right! Of all the many versions of "Libertango," this is one of the very best.... and there are a lot of very GOOD ones out there!

Fifty years and the Swingles still do well, preserving their unique sound, timbre and arrangements. This is an amazing example of continuity, considering all the changes in lineup over the times.
It just doesn't get any better. I have always loved this group and look forward to their next concert in Montreal. Bravo!

This Piazzola composition is irresistible. One of my faves is by Grace Jones. Very atmospheric and dramatic punctuated by a lovely bandoneon in the background.

I first heard this group when I was in high school 60+ years ago. Thanks for the update. I’ve since had a career in jazz, classical,opera,ballet,Broadway but my first record was the swingle singers; what a journey!

This might be the most entrancing music video I've ever seen. It's enticing and and hot in the way only an incredible masterpiece can be. This is what music videos should be. Not overblown, dressed up dolls singing someone else's lyrics to a canned beat.

I saw them last night. This was the last song before the encore (which was the beautiful Blackbird/I Will medley they do). They are even better live, of course, which, considering how good this is, it hard to imagine. They stayed afterwards and chatted and they are delightful people. Don't miss seeing them if you have the chance. You will never forget it.
