    I've loved every one of your jinjer reactions. You break them down in a way no one else has. Its good to see a different take. One song/video I havent seem anyone mention in the comments of any video is "Call Me A Symbol" from the Wallflowers album. Don't let this one get by you, please! The lyrics portray a woman so adored by so many people that she can do whatever she wants and still be treated as gold. But Tati is very shy in real life. Also, if you'd like to see a very good interview with Jinjer, they just put out an interview with Audiotree that includes a 3 piece interview and 3 songs. Thank you for all the Jinjer content!

    This video has studio audio because the original live recording was bad. The official live video has legitimate live audio, and it sounds very nearly as great. The official live video also includes some fun interaction between Tati & a fan.
    This is an awesome song with a great riff, & I think that the lyrics convey an important aspect of Tati's worldview, encapsulating part of Jinjer's essence. But I also love Jinjer's forays into progressive metal, particularly when they incorporate elements of other musical genres. Since I don't have to choose between earlier & later Jinjer, I simply love them both for different reasons.

      I enjoyed the fan interaction. But yeah, I really like this song. Definitely one of my favourites, anmd really enjoying listening to some baby Jinjer.

    There is an excellent live version of this. The Official Live at Loudfest is an excellent performance. Weirdly most people miss that one. In fact that live version was the first gig with the band for Dmitry Kim who played on the King of Everything album. It's also for Tati about half way between the Scissors vocals and how she is now. If I could have an extended discussion with her one of the things I would like to ask her is what kind of changes she felt she wanted to make once things got real and they got signed to Napalm.

    • @hemlock399
      @hemlock399 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I *so* wish people would stop recommending the failure_color video. I *love* Tati's vocal performance in the official live performance. I think you're right that she's at an intermediate stage in the development of her vocal technique & style.

    • @RustySabita
      @RustySabita  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I did see that video. I thought it was the same set, so I stuck with the one with what seemed to be the better audio quality lol. But yeah, I grew up loving this vocal technique from other bands, so to hear her like this took me back. Music absolutel slapped so much. There is a lot of things I would love to ask her.

    • @coder4liberty
      @coder4liberty 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@hemlock399 The only downside of the video is the idiot crew guy for the next band trying to set up drums in the middle of the song. Not cool at all. I would have been pissed at that guy. So disrespectful even if setup time for bands is short.

    • @hemlock399
      @hemlock399 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@coder4liberty True, but it just illustrates the extent to which Jinjer paid their dues. And they handled it like real pros, they just kept right on playing!

    • @coder4liberty
      @coder4liberty 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@hemlock399 The other guy getting up on stage and how she handled it was excellent. Stage divers back when I played punk in the early 80s were just a thing you dealt with but this is post Dimebag so it's also a little scary but I guess Europe is a little different in that regard.

    I love all eras of Jinjer matter of fact my favorites of my favorite band art from all eras. Three of my favorites are off the Cloud Factory Album. If you liked Outlander you will also appreciate Cloud Factory, the song and No Hoard of Values. Just think of how many influences you commented on, Jinjer is band without a set genre. They are prog, deathcore, melodic death, groove, metalcore, jazz, reggae, djent etc….they are simply Jinjer.

    I don't listen to Jinjer a lot but when I first heard this song I immediately thought of Lamb of God and their vocalist Randy Blythe. Tatis technique reminds me a lot of Randy here. Their voices have a certain color, like huge angry jungle cats...hard to decribe. Also the whole rhythm and riffs are close to Lamb of gods style in this one, this is quite fun! C:

    being that this is off of _Cloud Factory_ , i don't know that i'd call it "baby jinjer" , per sa ; more like "adolescent jinjer" -- still has that more classic vibe, but much more grown-up in vision than _Inhale, Do Not Breathe_ .
    i don't really have a "favorite" era/album -- it really just depends on my mood in the moment ... which is usually something like "what have i not listened to (most) recently?"
