This is my favorite Babymetal song of all, it's emotional, it's inspiring, it's beautiful and the live version is incredibly moving as even the girls get emotive when the crowd lights the stadium for them... I shed tears with these videos. Megitsune (literally any version) One of the earliest Babymetal songs and still goes as one of the hardest. Always missed in their more brief live performances at festivals, this song is one of those that are at the essence of BABYMETAL! BxMxC - official music video or Pia Arena (I'm biased towards this whole show and Legend MM) Whoo! Suzuka's dropping BARS on this one, I'll say nothing more than that, I'll let it speak for itself. Onedari Daisakusen - I'm not sure about the name of the show but I suppose it's around 2015-2016 It's a rather uncanny song given its lyrics, but that's the point, it goes really hard as Moa and Yui take the lead and it's one of my favorite BM songs, very very remarkable and fun! Karate (yet again, literally any version) Ossu! This song is for workouts, really, it is everything, one of their finest works out of the one I consider their best album, it's intense, a full arc, a whole experience, melodic, you're going to need to take a breath after this one.

You know, Road of Resistance is one of those songs where I have a fun time remembering the folks that call them "a gig". Like, if it was the case, they honestly wouldn't have made it past Doki Doki Morning, Megitsune and Gimme Chocolate, the actual earliest days of it, it'd get old pretty quickly. And while it's fair to say that this idea of picking vocals of an intense sort of pop and "slapping it" with metal instrumentals works wonders as a novelty factor that attracts the ear, without the careful balance they crafted to integrate both ends of this dissonance to create the synergy we call BABYMETAL, none of this would ever happen, it's incredible, to say the least, it's something out of this world that it remains just as fresh all these years down the road. All parts of the whole have a chance to shine and pop and really stand out because this synergy/dissonance lets you hear and feel everything. I don't think I see a lot of musicians shine as bright as Kami Band but any formation of the band feels a waste of talent when Suzuka's clean high, defiant pitch is off the table. Same way around with the girls, Su, Moa, Yui... Momo's timeline prior to Babymetal is an example of someone who wasn't given the right chance for a long time and her being with Babymetal just feels RIGHT. All of them shine the brightest because it seems like the metal scene brings out their full potential in terms of coordination, the narratives a dance can tell, vocals... It all feels just right.

In FTF, their ages also parallel The Warning. Note they’re 17, 16 & 15 years old now and have been together performing for 2 years already.

An iconic performance. I will ever be grateful to Babymetal for introducing me to the J- metal scene. If it wasn't for this great band I never would have discovered my current obsession with Nemophila. Next you should react to the live performance at Sonisphere 2014 of Ijame Damme Zettai. A lot of new reactors miss that to the chagrin of fans. I've not read the rest of your comments yet but I'm sure you've been made aware of the Dragonforce involvement here. The girls were (viewer's left to right) Yui, 15-she's the one who left officially in 2018. Su, 17, lead vocals and Moa 15. This performance always captivates and gives me a sense of pride-almost like they were my neice's or something. The stage presence manifested here and the utter confidence of the performance utterly belie the girls youth. The tempo (beats per minute) is consistent throughout, but the groove, time signature and intensity shift multiple times. Hellfest from Home 2021 includes an excellent live performance of this song, sans live audience due to COVID (Jinjer - Vortex [Live 2021]). Also, they recently did an interview plus in-studio live performances of 3 songs, "Vortex", "Wallflower" and "Dead Hands Feel No Pain". Good reaction, thanks! It better sound to you like DragonForce because Herman Li and Sam Totman were involved into this song, doing the guitar arrangements and even playing for the studio version. About their crowds demographics, many of the attendees are on their 20 but their audience is quite transversal. From little kids to elderly people. I'm in my 40's and on my last concert in Japan there was an elderly couple next to me. They were over 80 for sure (and really small) so, I had to be careful (people goes nuts even on the seated sections, haha). They are very diverse musically and you can't find two songs sounding similar... well probably two of them (on purpose and for a reason). 🤘🦊

This was Jan 2015, so Su-metal just turned 17, Yuimetal, and Moametal were 15 here. They are performing to ~20K sold out crowd at the Saitama Super Arena. Babymetal crowds range from children to retirees, guys and girls, and everyone in between! People recommended Ijime, Dame, Zettai, both are actually powermetal-ish songs and used as closing songs, so they are pretty close in metal (sub)genre, compared to many other songs they have. That said, I love the performance.

As you said this is the original line up of Su, Moa (glove on left hand) and Yui (glove on right hand) who left the band in 2018 due to health issues. People new to BabyMetal have 2 reactions to this video; aren't they young (Su was 17 and Yui & Moa 15) and it sounds like DragonForce; this is due to them being heavily involved with the guitar arrangements. At the time of this performance in January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena, Suzuka had just turned 17, while Yui & Moa were 15½. At Fox Fest 2024, the Saitama Super Arena was filled with mostly adult metalheads of all ages, male & female, similar to what you would see at a big metal festival. At age 72, I was probably one of the oldest fans in the audience, but they had me going wild along with everyone else. It was an incredible experience. Nice reaction! I'm a new fan myself and they've quickly become one my favourites and learning about their backstory has only made me like them more. Plenty of suggestions already in the comments and you can't really go wrong, only thing is whether you want to react to their older or newer stuff. Their earlier stuff has a lot more genre mashing and the newer songs seem more polished, at least to me anyway.

Babymetal is a pioneer for all those female japanese rock/metal bands and is still the biggest one internationally so glad you saved the best for last. Can you do Metali!? But dont do the music video. The official live version is so much better!

You are ao disrespectful. To ASSUME that the BabyMetal fans are teenage boys is just disgusting. Their fans range from kids to older folks. Most of their fans are full grown adults. BabyMetal is not Taylor Swift, they have real talent and fans of all ages. They've been a band since 2010 when the were 10 and 12 years old. They deserve everything them gotten.

Dragonforce was playing at a metal festival (in the UK?) that had pushed Babymetal's performance to a secondary stage in spite of crowd demand. So Dragonforce had the three girls perform this song with them on the main stage! Crowd loved it, festival producers hated it. The gatekeepers could not keep them down.

I recommend reacting to Monochrome from the PIA arena show and line from the same show. That'll give you an idea of how diverse they are. LOL

The Japanese girl bands you mentioned might not have existed if BABYMETAL had not existed. At the very least, you would never have discovered them. Now in their mid-twenties, these girls are wearing an ever-growing presence and brightness.

DragonForce was directly involved in making this song. But other listeners assumed that Babymetal covered DragonForce's song, while DragonForce's guitarist (Herman Li), said it was an original Babymetal song, DragonForce only made the rhythm.
