@@simonhoel2704fun fact, this just happened a few days ago to 5 people in a tiny shitty ass submersible going down to see the titanic at 12,000 feet under the sea
For anyone wondering: He was sucked into the small Crack due to the difference in pressure. The inside of pipe was probably at atmospheric pressure, and the crab was under the weight of all the water on top of him.. so basically when if got close enough to the Crack the water pressure literally pushed him into the pipe with, as stated previously, a FUCKTON of pressure. Hope that helps. Thanks for the likes guys!
For anyone wondering, yes there are people that work under these pressures for weeks on end. They will stay in a metal container on the surface under the same pressure as the bottom of the ocean. They have a vessel that brings them up and down. There's been one case that I remember where someone opened the door to the metal container while the people were in it. Everyone in the container died instantly. The air was sucked out of their chest and literally opened their chest. Imagine exploding from the inside out. That's what it would feel
Well, yesn't. The cause is the same, but the dummy was gradually (de)pressurized. The sub got imploded *instantly*. So fast, in fact, it was completely painless - they were cellular mush before pain receptors could transmit the signal to the brain. Just like if someone turned off light in the room.
Well not exactly. The titan imploded, and it happened so fast that they felt nothing nor could they even process what happened. On top of that, the inside of the submersible reached temps near that of the sun, so they quite literally got cooked and turned to mush before the pressure got to them. A horrible death nonetheless. RIP
People who think about the titan sub... the way the died may look horrible, but in reality in was fast like light switch for life to death in less than a second. RIP all the brave people who lost their lives..

It's scary when you realize you've got better chances of surviving in space without a suit than at the bottom of the deep ocean without a suit. Granted, you'll only last a few seconds in space because you'll lose all the stored air in your lungs, but at least you've got a chance. Even a space station can remain safe with a small leak in it for quite some time. Meanwhile, if your submarine "pops" it can kill you instantly.
Cuz why they need the experiment to be proceed as deep as Titanic's depth. The gas tank is not as quick as millions gallons of water pressuring the subs down there
The pressure at the bottom of the "Challenger Deep" section of the Marianas Trench is in excess of 16,000 psi. For comparison, an oxygen tank for welding is about 2,000 psi An oxygen tank for SCUBA is rated for a maximum of 3,000 psi.
It's theorized that you could probably survive the vacuum of space for like a couple seconds. The crushing depths of the ocean would kill you before even half a second is up.
So this is how 5 people just went out, truly tragic and absolutely terrifying to even think about, and I can't imagine what their final thoughts may have been. RIP
And the scary part is that in the deep ocean the effect will keep happening until the preasure is at an equilibrium. Meaning if u drill a 1 cm hole in the pipe and put your hand untop of it. The 2000psi preasure will suck a hole through your hand taking everything with it. Bones and everything until preasure is equalized
