He begins this particular video reminding us of the difference between this list and the other list, which comprises of his personal favorite movies, and to make sure that this point sticks, he picks "that" one dialogue from the Godfather. @@shivamnagrale2104 I think within Jodorowsky's work if we are to judge them on their artistic merit we have to primarily consider their coherency in their use of symbols and scope because no doubt he is overflowing with creativity in nearly all other aspects in his movies. In that way, Holy Mountain represents the high point at which his structure followed an admirable internal mosaic-like logic. But I still like Sante Sangre for pure ambition in it's view on horror in general. It's just more frizzled and bridled in nature which is a risk with avant-gardists like Lynch,Bunuel and Jodorowsky after a while.

Though I respect this gentleman’s opinion of the greatest films of all time…I still don’t get all the fascination over Citizen Kane! One film that I feel is sorely overlooked is Sergei Bondarchuk’s monster 1966 Russian epic…War and Peace. Filmed with the backing of the Soviet government in response to Hollywood’s flashy American version a decade earlier, Bondarchuk’s vision is a total masterpiece considering the detail involved; not to mention the thousands of extras used in this film. The true Russian version (subtitles included) of War and Peace is The Greatest Film of ALL TIME!!!! And no…I am not Russian!

One nitpick: I'm delighted COME AND SEE made your list at No. 19. But how on earth you think there are 18 films greater than it is strange to me. Overall though, you have excellent taste and judgment. I do agree The Godfather should be at number one (or number two). Probably the closest modern piece of art we have to Shakespeare.

To be honest, i have watched quite a lot of these movies. I felt that they were too complicated (Coincidentally, most of the movies that i thought were too complicated or too mundane are here in the list). I didn't know what to make of those films. Most of the times, the movies that affect me the most are simple ones with a simple theme. This list seems too technical to me. Where is the feel?
Many people claim these movies as their absolute favourites. I wonder if they are faking it or am I just really dumb?

Loved the use of classical music. A great list! Wish to see you return!

I haven't seen the video yet but I bet No.1 is either Kane or The Godfather Part 1.

Jumped with joy when I saw the poster. Like a favourite superstar movie had released or something. Hah! Stood up in front of the TV while I played this and jumped with joy seeing each film being listed over the years and then ranked in Top 10... Oh what joy to finally get you to list down the Greatest films ever (as per you and what you have seen)! Thank you Vinit for this... Congratulations on the subs... And please do come back! :)
