  • Just a little video of the unboxing and my first impressions of the Fanatec Clubsport DD (12nm) wheel base that purchased for the sim rig.
First impressions are good and I'm really looking forward to racing with it in the future.

The csl dd with boost pack is 8nm peak force. The clubsport dd is 12nm holding force. Which is closer to a 14-16 nm peak wheel base.

The dd+ has fully blown my mind and im so happy I drowned out the noise like I do with other brands and just went for it. Ive never ever had first impressions so good. Its stronger then my 20nm simagic and my dd1. It feels like 22 to 25 peak and its 15nm holding. Slew rate of 6.2nm/ms the fastest wheel base for ffb response out right now. Its noticeable so much so that i cant see needing full force. Its already so much detail i had to get used to it. The power sgsin guys the clubsport dd is actually 16nm of peak and 12nm of holding torque the dd+ is around 22nm peak and 15nm holding torque. So its alot more you are getting then some of you think which makes the prices way way more competative then you think bits why the dd1 probably wont be being made much after this. No use for it tbh. I would choose this like my buddies hsve over there dd2 anyday of the week. It makes them feel old its thst big of a jump in quality feel. Less cogging none to be exact super responsive more detsil then you have ever felt. Especially on the 15nm dd+ so yeah enjoy guys! The difference between the 12nm and 15nm is like getting the 8nm boodt pack on the csl dd pro. So its a good difference.
The weight feel and grip on the dd+ is insane.
I love how you are playing rally with the mclaren gt3 rim hahs. Still my favorite fanstec rim btw even out of there high end ones hust something perfect about rhe size and feel on the hands. I love the paddles even if some dont i love the thud is has haha. But yeah I gotta try rally with it now lol.
Im so happy i got the mclaren gt3 wheel rim with the dd+ and didnt get the bundles because im hesring the new gt7 wheel rim is having way more issues then the older rims sre with the dd and dd+.
The reason why the extra 4nm is so massive from the dd pro is because the motor itself is more powerful so even at 60% which is like 7nm it still feels stronger its just how it works.
The biggest change is guys when you use these dont try sesrching for whats gonna happen. The ffb is so direct and so fast you dont have to think about whats coning. Now the catches are right away. So you dont have to sit rhere trying to judge it. Meaning dont overthink when using it just play its that good. Never have i ever feelt such direct ffb at this speed. Its mind blowing. I get some revieeers dont want to tell you how big the difference really is due to fanatec issues but its a massive difference. Its more noticable then you may expect.

Thank you for that information, I didn't realise the top power of the Clubsport DD was 16nm that's interesting to know and explains why it felt more than the CSL DD

Yeah you are getting around 16nm of peak torque and its 12nm of holding. While the csl dd pro at 8nm its holding torque is 6nm and 8nm of peak. So its double that. Fanatec is doing holding force as numbers now which I like. When looked at that way people can't say they aren't priced well. You paid what you did for a 16nm base. Even the dd+ at 1k for a 20+nm base is good. @RNsimracing

@@reviewforthetube6485 I'm really pleased with the Clubsport DD and looking forward to racing with it more as I have not been able to do much since getting it due to health issues that are hopefully getting better soon.

Nice but not sure how you drive rally with f1 wheel some turns would be rather difficult to do properly without a round one.

😁 neither do I as it was the first time. For rallying I had been using the BMW P1 but it's limited to 8 nm so wasn't going to feel much difference from my old CSL DD.
I'm going to have to learn how to rally with the McLaren GT3 wheel till I get a new round wheel as I've sold the P1 along with the CSL DD. 🙄

The crash not so much, but I was mucking around with the wheel so it was always going to be the outcome 😊
