Jeff Kaplan is like a kid explaining his own universe, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Only someone with that sort of attitude could create a game like Overwatch.

Overwatch is a broken mindless casual fps game and that's the reason it's so popular because you don't have to be good at aiming or even being smart in this game, it's a game of random bs ults and aimassisted nonsense. But the game has potential and i hope to god they fix the game, nerfing the mindless and braindead winston would be first step and most important although i'm not sure they are willing to do that. This character looks stupid aswell... doesn't belong in an fps.

I really miss this time. Wish I could teleport back and enjoy it while it lasted 5 years before this horrible year

Doom was already unplayable with the new cass nade change (and mei change, to a lesser extent) and constant orisa buffs, and now this last patch they stealth giganerfed him. this is not the same team of developers that worked on the game years ago. this team hates doomfist.

I quite frankly love these developer updates. Not only does it explain the abilities, but it also explains the playstyle which I think is very helpful in my opinion. Great job, Jeff! Now, on to the 26th hero!

z0ozlive775 They've said multiple times that the specifics of the things you see in-game won't exactly correlate with the ever changing lore. Unless you just want Numbani removed there's nothing else you can do. It's just a fun little nod to the lore and the gauntlet being taken.

He's a bit of a hybrid, such as say symmetra which has both supportive and defensive capabilities. He has the tanking capacity through his passive, but has the damage and mobility of an offence

So obviously people are disappointed that Doomfist isn't voiced by Terry Crews, but when you think about it, that's fine. Doomfist is from West Africa, and I can't say that Terry Crews really fits that role; even if he could do a good accent, we want the Terry Crews we know and love, not him being somebody completely different. Obviously there were plenty of teases done by Terry Crews, but even if he isn't Doomfist, there could be another hero we've never heard of yet that he will be voicing, and might even be better than if he voiced Doomfist.
Who knows, his teasing about being at Blizzard wasn't just a prank, maybe they were working with him to do a different hero and he was teasing that, but he can't just tell us who he'd be, so we easily assumed that he was Doomfist.

It isn't like everyone knew the character was from West Africa before he became live. Meaning that he could have been the main villain from the states as Doomfist. Instead they are trying to make Reaper fill that role even though he was apart of Overwatch. Part of the problem is that almost all of the hype for Doomfist was due to Terry Crews. We all saw the banners and thought that would be a cool/fun character to play, but Terry gave it that publicity it needed. For the banners to be in a movie theater, i totally expected Crews. (considering the amount of tedious work they put into Sombra)

I agree, but I just want to throw this out there. Terry Crews played an African man in a movie called "Blended" by Adam Sandler. And his accent was good, but it was more on the comedy side.

his most defining feature is a rocket fist, he charges and attacks enemies and he'll try to knock people into walls. So, like a reinhardt charge. That's what I dislike most about this game, all characters feel quite similair.

I was sooooooo happy when I heard doomfist was coming out soon! I was really happy about it cuz one of my favorite people ever was voicing doomfist (terry crews) ,but then they decided to hire another guy . I was not expecting them to actually go through with terry crews to be the voice actor for doomfist. I don't know why , but know I don't have anything to look for it sounds selfish but I really was hoping for terry crews

I tested out Doomfist in the PTR, here are my notes:
He can one shot most of the hero roster if there's a wall behind the enemy he hits with his right-click. Destroys barrier heroes and can easily rush a point and cause massive mayhem.
In combination with a Zarya ultimate, he can one shot an entire team with his ultimate. Unknown how much damage his ult does, but he definitely one shots most of the roster with it. More than 200 HP done, for sure. Can aim it for five seconds and then it automatically goes off.
Very good disabler hero, capable of keeping enemies disoriented and can easily flank. Has an ability to uppercut an enemy into the air and then use another ability, usually followed by a charged punch or his mini-Reinhardt ultimate to keep them in the air. Does not stun, but still keeps the enemy from moving.
Any damage he does with abilities is returned to him as shields. Very minuscule, similar to Reaper's new lifesteal passive, but has the same shield as Lucio's ult gives, goes away over time.
Has a shotgun for primary weapon that has four shots. Two close range to mid range headshots and a squishy is down. Reloads automatically.
Very strong hero but short range. Can be kited and a Zenyatta Orb of Discord obliterates him. Snipers, other disabler heroes and escape heroes can take him down.
He hard counters Tracer and it seems barrier heroes, as his abilities go through them. If luck were a thing, good luck fighting this beast.
I'm sure they just wanted to give everyone a chance to feel OP. That's half the fun of new characters anyways, and then they nerf them in some significant way probably before they hit ranked.
Or they forget to because they are all like the Ana mains and make her slightly mandatory in comp for a whole season.
