Sort of like the movie monster that insists on picking the hero up and throwing him into furniture instead of just hitting him or her like it did to all the red shirts... and, perhaps, a reaction to the worry that audiences might be squeamish about seeing a female character getting hit really hard by a male character. But, when you think about it, Doomfist's move actually makes a lot of sense in-universe. Shooting Tracer or smashing her into the ground wouldn't do a lot of good, because even if you broke every bone in her body, she would just rewind, revert herself to full health, and keep on attacking you. Because of her powers, Tracer's chronal gear is more of a vulnerability than her actual vital organs, and attacking that is the most effective thing Doomfist could have done.
Blizzard please give us more of this. You saw how cyberpunk made a comeback with an anime, now it’s your turn. Especially when you can show off new skins in the show.
I just love how smart doomfist is. He most likely would be one shot by a dragon blade so he forces Genji to go on the defensive and waits for him to use the dragon blade while in the air to then strike, and then abuses tracer’s predictability with her blinks by waiting for the perfect moment. Really shows the characters tactical abilities and patience.

Winston is situated in a much more rational universe and ever increasing strength doesn’t exist in Overwatch. Enraged Winston does have a limit, he eventually tires out. It was stated that Doomfist could level entire skyscrapers. It’s unclear exactly which Doomfist they were referring to, but whichever one it was, was undoubtedly stronger than Winston. The only thing that justifies his defeat is he must’ve not taken Winston seriously, and didn’t use all of his strength. We’ll definitely see their rematch in the future, perhaps in Overwatch 2 or in the upcoming animated series.

She's not actually dead. She's in a state of constant flux without the accelerator -Winston can make her another one, but until then she can't control it and will keep fluctuating until he can.

Three years later I still find myself coming back to this. I love the presentation of Doomfist, his narration and how he almost won a 3v1 against three of the best Overwatch agents. Lorewise he must be a terrifying opponent

i love how doomfist follows his own advice because when he gets tag teamed at the start he looks genuinely terrified but even when he is panicking he is looking around for a way to win.

I dont know why this took me 2 years to notice, and I dont know if anyone else has noticed it, but at 0:41 when Genji and Tracer is double teaming him, he is first stressing and freaking out, and he just punches straight forward because he doesn't know what to do, but then as he says "Every battle makes us stronger", be is suddenly calm, and punches the ground to push them away. It's as if they're showing that he is still growing stronger and smarter.
if we take his shield generating ability as present outside the game as well, after he took out genji he probably has a decent shield buffer against tracer as well

Gameplay aside, I love the fact he is not just some "ima punch yo face" guy, but he has also a charisma, wits, focus, vision, and sheer will to get things done. He is the muscle AND the brain. Those types of people are truly dangerous, especially if they go supervillain

Doomfist is a hulking brute, but also incredibly cunning. It makes him incredibly dangerous that he is not only powerful on his own, but has an entire shadow organization to back him up.
You have to respect Doomfist's bravery here, thought it could be seen as overconfidence. Man straight up flipped the battle to his favour in seconds, took out both Genji and Tracer like it was nothing, then was willing to stand toe-to-toe with a raging, genetically engineered gorilla. But it's like he said; "Every battle makes us stronger", next time he won't underestimate Winston's rage.
I think Doomfist was using his own ideologies on himself here. I think he knew the likelihood of defeat was high but he stood his ground to become stronger.

We can tell that Winston did in fact win because when Doomfist was punching his way out of prison, there was a paper that said "Monkey from the Moon Saves the Day" with a picture of Winston. And also one saying Doomfist Defeated.
i interpreted it as that's what doomfist is planning on doing when he breaks out because he has a vengeance for winston and also because he stopped tracer from existing which is contradictory to the rest of the story
That was live action. Had it been fully CGI like Blizzard is known for, it could have been much better. And the movie was not that bad, the orc parts where really good, it was the humans that held it back.
Muney is not really the issue. It's about fiding a good way to make a game in to a movie. Something that seems to be very hard to do. Honestly, I think an Animated Netflix show would be alot more successful where they can tell the story in different episodes with greater detail, rather than trying to jam it in to one movie.

His looks are deceptive. He easily dodged Winston's shot from his tesla gun and first attacked Genji with his normal attack so to provoke him into dodging, only to hit him with his enhanced right arm/gauntlet, knocking him out. He knew that Tracer's attacks weren't worth dodging, since his shield could handle them, analyzed her movements and hit her weakspot the second he knew where she would appear. Those are the most dangerous enemies: The ones who have the power and know how to use it.
The fight in the video is what happened BEFORE Doomfist was put in prison. The ending is Winston's "Primal Punch" the boy in the game trailer was referencing. So no, Tracer isn't dead

For newcomers, his kit has been reworked: He's a tank with 450hp and faster reloading Rocket punch now deals 15-30dmg and even less on wall impact, but it charges faster and has 3sec cooldown Uppercut was removed and changed with powerblock, block damage in front of you reducing it heavily. Block enough damage and you charge up your rocket punch. Charged punches deal more damage go further charge faster and stun for longer on wall impact Seismic slam is now much similar to Winston's jumppack, dealing a flat 50 dmg and on a 7 sec cooldown Meteor strike deals way less dmg but slows and you can move it around sooner.
Funny fact: if we will take into a count that 1hp in tf2 = about 1,7 hp overwatch, then we can understand that seismic slam does less damage than 1 swing of scout's bat.
He used to guarantee combo kill any 200hp character if hook landed. Now... It's hard to pull off, you need to soften them up or have allies shooting the same target.

Doomfist is great, but def has a high ceiling requiring patience like genji respectively. He is easily my favorite hero to play in the game, but even I know he isn't ideal in all situations/maps since he gets jumped on so fast in game.

I just want to take a minute to appreciate the tension and realism in a fight scene where the main characters aren't constantly talking to eachother the entire time. Tracer notices Winston got f*d up and reacts with facial cues, but then goes right back to fighting. Same from Winston when Tracer gets got. Perfect.
"Realism" The dude got shot 100s of times by Tracer where he has no armour, it's just unprotected skin and he took no damage lol. There's not a hint of realism here, if there was Tracer would shoot once and it would be over.

My favorite cinematic to this day. The way Doomfist rips off Tracer’s chronal accelerator gives me chills.

I dont know why this took me 2 years to notice, and I dont know if anyone else has noticed it, but at 0:41 when Genji and Tracer is double teaming him, he is first stressing and freaking out, and he just punches straight forward because he doesn't know what to do, but then as he says "Every battle makes us stronger", be is suddenly calm, and punches the ground to push them away. It's as if they're showing that he is still growing stronger and smarter.

Gameplay aside, I love the fact he is not just some "ima punch yo face" guy, but he has also a charisma, wits, focus, vision, and sheer will to get things done. He is the muscle AND the brain. Those types of people are truly dangerous, especially if they go supervillain

Doomfist is a hulking brute, but also incredibly cunning. It makes him incredibly dangerous that he is not only powerful on his own, but has an entire shadow organization to back him up.
You have to respect Doomfist's bravery here, thought it could be seen as overconfidence.
Man straight up flipped the battle to his favour in seconds, took out both Genji and Tracer like it was nothing, then was willing to stand toe-to-toe with a raging, genetically engineered gorilla.
But it's like he said; "Every battle makes us stronger", next time he won't underestimate Winston's rage.
I think Doomfist was using his own ideologies on himself here. I think he knew the likelihood of defeat was high but he stood his ground to become stronger.

That was live action. Had it been fully CGI like Blizzard is known for, it could have been much better. And the movie was not that bad, the orc parts where really good, it was the humans that held it back.
Honestly, I really hope it happens, however, it costs a lot to make an animated movie, especially with the amount of action in the Overwatch world.
Muney is not really the issue. It's about fiding a good way to make a game in to a movie. Something that seems to be very hard to do. Honestly, I think an Animated Netflix show would be alot more successful where they can tell the story in different episodes with greater detail, rather than trying to jam it in to one movie.

This trailer basically cemented Doomfist as the most canonically powerful character in Overwatch. Not only can he break concrete without the gauntlet, but he can hold his own against a cyborg ninja, a time-traveler, and a genetically engineered gorilla all at the same time.
Reaper might be more powerful as he is literally invincible and took out a giant mech on his own.

He easily dodged Winston's shot from his tesla gun and first attacked Genji with his normal attack so to provoke him into dodging, only to hit him with his enhanced right arm/gauntlet, knocking him out. He knew that Tracer's attacks weren't worth dodging, since his shield could handle them, analyzed her movements and hit her weakspot the second he knew where she would appear. Those are the most dangerous enemies: The ones who have the power and know how to use it.

He's a tank with 450hp and faster reloading
Rocket punch now deals 15-30dmg and even less on wall impact, but it charges faster and has 3sec cooldown
Uppercut was removed and changed with powerblock, block damage in front of you reducing it heavily. Block enough damage and you charge up your rocket punch. Charged punches deal more damage go further charge faster and stun for longer on wall impact
Seismic slam is now much similar to Winston's jumppack, dealing a flat 50 dmg and on a 7 sec cooldown
Meteor strike deals way less dmg but slows and you can move it around sooner.
Funny fact: if we will take into a count that 1hp in tf2 = about 1,7 hp overwatch, then we can understand that seismic slam does less damage than 1 swing of scout's bat.

I just want to take a minute to appreciate the tension and realism in a fight scene where the main characters aren't constantly talking to eachother the entire time. Tracer notices Winston got f*d up and reacts with facial cues, but then goes right back to fighting. Same from Winston when Tracer gets got. Perfect.
Same with how he looks at genji when he can’t get up bro had to intervene
You mean there doesnt have to be 5 minutes of dialogue between scenes where the main character powers up? Or has a flashback? Weird
"Realism" The dude got shot 100s of times by Tracer where he has no armour, it's just unprotected skin and he took no damage lol. There's not a hint of realism here, if there was Tracer would shoot once and it would be over.
