Miljenko has a set of pipes for sure, he does a real good live version of this song. Mark Wahlberg played in a movie where he was a singer in a band and Miljenko was the voice used for his parts.
Miljencho was a generational talent. I got to see him live a couple of different times, and he is fantastic live. Some vocalists are great on the album and not so much live. He is GREAT!

With the Grunge/Alternative era of music the kits were a lot smaller than the "hair metal" groups before. Think this was Steelheart in the very early 90's, probably 1991.

In fact, I forgot all about it, so thank you for reminding me lol. I used to take it as a personal challenge to try to hit this dude's high notes when I was younger. Looking back, I should probably apologize to the dogs on my block for the discomfort. 7:56 This was 1990. It was in the 80's when you had the glam rock and hair metal thing going on with the huge hair, and it bled over into the early 90s. It required obscene amounts of Aquanet hairspray, which is likely a contributing factor to the hole in the ozone layer. I was born in 1983, and my mom applying that Geneva Convention defying chemical to her hair was a surefire way to have my toddler ass running out of the bathroom in protest when she was getting ready lol.

You should watch the unplugged version. Watch the singer chew gum while singing. He is an amazing vocalist and at his age today can still hit those same notes

Unfortunately, you could not be more wrong. This song was barely heard, Steelheart never got the recognition they deserved. Miljenko (he goes by Michael) Matejevich is one of the most talented vocalists ever. But the band came out at the tail end of the Hair Metal Era (in the early 90s), which would've been bad enough, but just as they were starting to get recognition a devastating accident occured when the scaffolding in the concert crashed down on Miljenko, it left him with a brain injury, and an inability to sing even moderately high notes, he literally couldn't sing any of his own songs. It took him decades before he returned to singing, and while he's very limited in his range, he's still pretty good. But it's really really sad to watch him try to sing his hit songs
I love Steelheart! The obvious next song is I'll Never Let You Go, but you should also check out Everybody Loves Eileen, I Just Wanna (Rock 'N Roll), and Sweet Electric Love Child...

I think this song is just as relevant today as it was when it came out in 1990. Also the guitarist Chris Risola is pretty damn good. Dimash might be the only guy who can go as high as Miljenko.
Actually no. Tommy Johansson can go higher (C6) and he did an insanely good cover for this song. Also Yannis (Beast in Black) can go high as f@#$ and Marc Hudson (Dragonforce) can go ridiculously high as well. Last but not least Daniel Heiman (ex Lost Horizon, current Warrior Path lead singer) is a freak of nature! A true beast of a vocalist! He can go... supersonic just like that! That guy is most certainly out of this world! If you are not familiar with any of them, you should definitely check them out! You will not be disappointed! These guys are the best of the best power metal has to offer right now. The very best of their generation for sure. At least for me personally... 😉🤟🤘

Yes….I have listened to many singers……many. I was in a group for ten years until it was time to raise a family. I play several instruments.
