One of my best friends shared a third-floor apartment in Greenwich, Connecticut with Mike (lead singer; he went by Mike) and his cousin Nick some years ago. I went to pick up my buddy to go out bar hopping and ran into Mike on the front porch. He had just gotten back from a tour in South Korea (he said when he walked on the street people would chase after him shouting "She Gone! She Gone!). After asking me who the eff I was (probably thought I was a deranged fanboy) I helped him carry his stuff upstairs, and he led me up into the attic where he had one of the most impressive guitar collections I've ever seen. After he settled in, he treated us to a 12-string acoustic version of "I'll Never Let You Go" right there in the living room. I was blown away. What a talent! We had pizza in a local park, and he told us stories about touring with Journey and INXS, and also talked about how quickly success and money came, and how quickly all that fizzled out. A real decent human being and down-to-Earth guy. When I asked him what he was doing when he wasn't touring, he said he was writing country songs, because they were so easy to write.

Singer is Miljenko Matijević..... One of the big tragedies of their period. A light rack fell and hit the singer in the head. The band split and if Im right, didnt reunite until the last 10 yrs or something. Great singer. Slid over into the shadows bc of an accident.
Yeah, the problem was they showed up right at the very end of hair metal. Nirvana's "Nevermind" was released in '89 and, by '90, hair metal was dead and grunge ruled the world. I remember Steelheart and a couple of other talented bands showing up briefly and then, for most folk, seemingly falling off the face of the planet. As a teen, that was my first lesson in the brutality of trends and timing in the entertainment industry.

That was pretty much the downfall of Steelheart. However, they do continue to perform periodically. I’ll Never Let you Go has to be the next review.

Miljenko is 67 and can still sing beautiful and he still chews that gum... He has to keep his mouth from getting dry... He also has his own record label now stealheart records .. he has always been one of my favorite singer's.... One of his newest songs is my love is gone... Well, as everyone else here is saying, if you want to hear this guy's vocal prowess, you have to hear "I'll Never Let You Go." That was the only song I had ever heard by Steelheart prior to seeing this video, so thanks for that. I would also recommend "Get it On" and "What Love Can Do" by Kingdom Come.

He didn't die from that. He's still alive today. I actually saw him on tour with The Doors singing for them back in like 2010...

He also has his own record label now stealheart records .. he has always been one of my favorite singer's.... One of his newest songs is my love is gone... I never heard of this Rock band until last week. One of my friend on Facebook posted the Steelheart video of this song She's Gone. Amazing voice & absolutely cool Rock group. I wish they were big like other Rock group from the 80s & the 90s. Now I want to know where can I buy a Steelheart jacket, cd & t-shirts. Omg what a voice. Thumbs up for Steelheart.

Well, as everyone else here is saying, if you want to hear this guy's vocal prowess, you have to hear "I'll Never Let You Go." That was the only song I had ever heard by Steelheart prior to seeing this video, so thanks for that. I would also recommend "Get it On" and "What Love Can Do" by Kingdom Come.
