      IMO it is exaggerated but works well for the introduction of the concepts.
      Or in "It is not perfect, but it is perfect to teach people with" kind of thinking.

    Went a little overboard on the point by point sound effects. The fart one was particularly annoying. But good tips. I'd describe them differently - slow in, slow out. Weight. Most importantly is to observe life, as not all slides are the same.

  • @altayyar87
    @altayyar87 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Question: in acceleration and discoloration we have to take more shots in the start and the ending ? And make less in the middle? How many shots are used in this example?
    Thanks alot :D .

    • @Guldies
      @Guldies  9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Mohammad Alghaith Yes, you're right! Instead of changing the fps it's all about how much you move your object between shots. Small changes = slow
      Big changes = faster

    Fantastic tutorial! I've known some of these principals, but this was a great reminder, and one of the best illustrations of animation principles I've seen! "No sunlight" is often not mentioned in other tutorials so I'm glad you pointed that out.
    I also thought it was really beneficial that you showed the wrong way to do it, to show the difference.
    One thing that did throw me off was when the bank tipped and it made that alarm buzzer sound (STAHP 0:59). With that sound, it almost seemed like you were saying that was the wrong way to do it, while it was meant to point out that it was done right. That was my impression anyway.
    Also, when I clicked on the video, I thought it was going to be about sliding the camera left and right. So I was both mildly disappointed and pleasantly surprised.
    I plan on getting back into stop motion soon! Your work inspires me!

      Guldies I'm an animator myself but this is one of the best tip videos I've seen on this subject :-) easing-in and easing out inclusion is great and necessary in so much. If I were to criticise I'd change the patreon pledge at the end to be more 'upbeat'

    Nice visual explanation of acceleration and deceleration. I'm curious how you displayed the multiple images at the 0:39 mark. That in itself is a cool effect. Thanks.

    Amazing video!
    I tried making something like this myself but couldn't get it as good as this.
    What fps did you use for this video and how much did you move the vault in every frame?

    I would support you on this patron thing (I know that's not the spelling) but I just don't have enough money to. Instead I'll go on all your videos and like them for you.
