Psychedelic, well 80s style idealized a retro future. Lights, neon, melancholy, decadent cities, humanity on the way to involution. Everything is part of the show.
One of my all time favorite synths and a terrific demo/song. My best friend used to have one of these and it never failed to blow me away what we could do with it.

Great work Man! I really enjoyed that one! I felt like I was watchin' a dramatic romance movie where a man was tryin' to convince a woman he loves not to leave. So you've very appropriately titled this song. I felt a lot of emotion in this one. And some ideas of chords and arpeggio to play on my Spanish guitar have once again come up. As I always say, Keep up the good work!
+lightnintrucker Thanks! Your description is actually what I also envision when I hear this music and was thinking of a name for the piece. Glad you felt inspired on the Spanish guitar. :)
Yes, Chroma Polaris was technically quite advanced for its time... full MIDI spec and powerful processors on board. That said, not sure I'd trade a P5 for one today! ;)
Do you know how to send and receive SysEx bank or program files on it as the manual is really vague and I've tried and nothing happens? Any tips greatly appreciated- Thanks. Jonathan

+Ralph Baumgartl VLog Thank you very much for the kind words Ralph, I'm glad you like the demos and music. Appreciate your support and will be sure to create more. :)
+doctorbarrientos Thank you for your kind words. Chroma Polaris has a beautiful sound all to its own. Yes, that is an MXR chorus pedal, the Polaris is a mono audio output synth so I transformed it into stereo with the MXR analog chorus. :)

Thank you! :)
I had one and it was one of my best polys ever. That ARP filter is incredible.
Agreed, the growl and raw power from this synth is very impressive. The ARP sound is unmistakable.

Thank you!
I've never heard or seen that synth before, but it does sound lovely! Great chill jam too! Good work!
+MrFricoco Thanks for your comment! Yes, Chroma Polaris often flies under the radar, but it has a big presence sound-wise. :)
Sounds super lush

Drooling for one of these! Great demo
Nice FX
+i Faber Thanks... effects were used subtly on this piece, wanted to showcase the Polaris more than the FX. :)
Sounds awesome!
Very Nice
+Rotals ST Thanks for listening.
bravo...
Thanks much! :)
i love your videos. just wanted to say so.
+naakkve10 Hi, thanks so much for your lovely comment. I really appreciate your support and am glad you really like my music, means a lot to me.
This synth was multitimbral! One of the first I think. I traded a Prophet-5 for one!

Yep, I was quite the fool for that one.
Reminds me of one of the first albums of Mark Isham :-)
Cool Stuff !
Thank you!
It's capable of great sounds. It's warm (and old). I just wish you would have turned off the Eventide a few times.
EXCELLENT,love it !

😊 analog world vintage 😝
why not 432hz?
I really enjoy listening to your channel. Always curious about which Synths and FX pedals you are going to use. Great work!

I am really looking forward to that... :-)
Beautiful melodies and beautiful machine. I knew about the Polaris but you really made me fall in love with it
Is that an MXR chorus?

Broad hint to @Behringer!
Were the chorus and delay units secure at the top of the chassis? It sounds marvelous - and looks damn precarious.
They were sitting nicely on the synth, no issues. Chroma Polaris is a beautiful machine.
It’s one which I used to imagine getting for myself, @synth4ever. Unfortunately, I think it is more tough to find than the original.

I definitely appreciate the advice, @synth4ever. Might not do so for this model, but I might for a different one.
i owned one of these for about 20 minutes, years ago....traded it for a yamaha something or other digital 90's synth.
worst. trade. ever.
Sorry to hear that. Chroma Polaris has a lot of character and raw power under the hood... perhaps you can acquire one again today?
yeah, well...i was young and stupid.
digital/analog wannabee synths were coming out again, and i figured...'this'll do'....
well, it didn't do. lol
Na apresentção estragou a reputação do instrumentp.Muito chata a demostração Parece um hevento de funeral. orrivel.
Very nice:-)
