Should have anime cut scenes or endings. That would make me want to see all the endings like when I was a kid playing super street fighter 2 on SNES back in BK.
I didn't see Popeye until I read this. Yeah, definitely looks like Popeye. Funnily enough, when I was fighting him in game yesterday, looking at his forearms I was thinking "what is this guy? Popeye?" Nailed it.
I love Street Fighter, but I think I am going to wait at least a year or two to get this game. I want to wait until the complete game witch all the characters comes out because 18 characters is not enough for a fighting game. The the base game should have had at least 24-30 characters.
Fighting games all release the game with future DLC/ characters announced. And depending on how well the game continues to do, more and more content will continue to be released. For example tekken 7 was released on consoles in 2017 and the last DLC character was added in 2021. Thats almost 5 years. The only games that seem to release and are done adding content after 2 years are the Mortal Kombat games. They always seem to die very quickly.
A 18 character roster is just unacceptable it should be at the very least be a 28 character roster but I prefer it be between a 32 to 42 character roster imo
I am a year late but I wanted to say that I absolutely agree with you and it baffles me that almost nobody points this out. Even a 25 characters would be alright, but 18 is too damn small. We already have 8 dlc out or announced (at a good old expensive price and a not buyer-friendly system). I still bought the game because I really like the gameplay, so Im appart of the problem, but I feel like fans are blind because they love capcom so much, they cant accept that the game is not perfect
Super Street fighter 2 was it for me , where they had Bruce Lee , Cammie , DJ , and Tomahawk... Probably got the names wrong , but that was it for me that was the last one that was any good . I moved on to stuff like Tekken .... I hated the SF alpha stuff .
Picked this up for a little break from Tears of the Kingdom. It's dope, but I've never played SF before and I'm totally overwhelmed lol. Having trouble remembering everything and even the simplest controls
Agree. I purchased both games as well and love them both, but I've been playing Street Fighter for 30+ years (I'm an old gamer like RGT) and im having a blast playing it!
Street fighter 6 actually has an amazing and really accessable tutorial and also the character guides as well it teaches you what the moves do and there uses and how you can use them in combos
18 characters for $60,I would say no it's no wort it. Modern Tekken and Mortal Kombat games usually have a bigger base rosters hopefully they do not disappoint whit their newest entry.
Kinda vague but your not spending $60 for 18 characters you buying a brand new game with insane innovation most fighting games don’t have mortal Kombat is just pvp and story mode this game bring 4x that for a lower price
To back up some of the comments about modern controls.... It's in the game honestly to aim more for the casual non serious fighting game peeps. A lot of people got turned off from playing fighters in general just simply because the controls aren't simplified and performing certain special moves and combos were too much for them. Thus, modern controls. (Don't get me started with dynamic controls 🥴🥴🥴). However, to make up for people using modern controls, Capcom has scaled down the damage from special and super moves when using these controls. Which I'm completely okay with. An option to turn it off and on and the damage got scaled back? Fine in my book. Okay to have simpler controls for some, but don't give them a reward as a person who's using the OG controls and putting in work to get the damage.
I don't know if I'm getting this yet or not, but I'm glad they have a lot of content for $60. The fighters I've bought in the last five years have all skimped on content. Samurai Shodown was probably the worst offender. What's there is good, but it came with a short roster, the DLC characters were expensive, and it was just a basic single player arcade mode and standard one vs one online. Street Fighter was never my favorite fighter franchise, but maybe this will shame others into adding more content to their titles.
This game looks great but lets be real the game will come out with more characters in the future for like $30. So with that being said to each there own. Great video.
Street Fighter 6 sucks. You have to create an online Capcom ID in order to play online on Street Fighter 6! What is the point in creating a Capcom online ID when you already have a PlayStation Network online ID, a Nintendo Network online ID, an Xbox Series X/S online ID and a gaming PC online ID? That doesn't make any sense!
Its a good fighting game however the way story mode is implement if we're comparing it to other Open world games and or games with customization its lackluster. The framedrops are visible from afar, when u find one item an opponent has, u know the rest of the enemies in the area have the same stuff, when u find something unique its hard to come across it again so u end up raiding the same spot til it comes up again, becomes repetitive. The customization for the appearance of the avatar is cool but once u have the look , the options for stuff like tattoos, makeup, hair, ect, is limited, cant have four of the same tattoos different for slot for different body part, once u have one body part tatted that's it no matter how smaller , for example there a circle u can put on ur. Back but u won't be able to get the Yakuza tat which is only on the arms and chest yet it identify as a back tat. , plus u have to have currency to change the look if u dont like later on. In the world tour u pay with there currency but in battle u nee drive tickets, /fp U have to use real cash to pay for fp. Drive ticket come in challenges but most of the challenge atm give kudos which is for the Battle pass. So if u dont know some may be under impression they gotta cough up douh. The emblem are what every game with customization has , the star and harts, with it litte mix of items. But than again im here for the Fighting all that others stuff is for the new guys coming in so if they dont mind than i guess theres no need to want better
I actually love the artwork presented in the arcade mode it looks straight from a udon book their artwork is very good i have two of their art books one for street fighter another one for darkstalkers

No this game is not worth any money, I purchased Street fighter 6 the Deluxe edition for $85.00 dollars, They make you create a Capcom ID and link my PS5, I created a Capcom ID and tried to link my PS5, I get a error message saying I cannot link my system because it's already link to another account which is bullshit, So since I cannot link my PS5, I cannot play street fighter online and I heard others is having the same issue, There is no customer service number for Capcom this is ridiculous, So am stuck with a 85.00 dollars fighting game I cannot access online features at all.

Excellent review RGT 85. Just to be clear though with the Modern control scheme, yes you can turn it off but Modern was really meant for newcomers and beginners. Or it was meant for those players that want to play this game who have poor hand eye coordination and therefore can't input all the button commands in the quickest time possible, like Classic. Yes there are those people (including me) so it's nice to have options instead of just the one option and that's the way it is.
anyone who thinks this game is not full of content, must have never bought SF5 when it came out, next to that game, this is like mind blowing, even i, a skeptic, loved the content, but it did help that i paid $45 for it brand new since one shop was selling it on discount, it was pretty awesome.

This game is dope. The cover artwork is funny. Luke looks like Popeye. I ordered the steelbook edition.
Yes , that is what the artist was going for he said he was a fan of popeye. Of course a lot people hate tyr cover art.
I didn't see Popeye until I read this. Yeah, definitely looks like Popeye. Funnily enough, when I was fighting him in game yesterday, looking at his forearms I was thinking "what is this guy? Popeye?"
Nailed it.
No, you’re completely right. They should have used the classic controls as default with the option to change it. Kind of how Killer instinct did.
I like the modern controls a lot and use that most of the time. However the Classic controls are there for the people who prefer them instead. 😀
I love Street Fighter, but I think I am going to wait at least a year or two to get this game. I want to wait until the complete game witch all the characters comes out because 18 characters is not enough for a fighting game. The the base game should have had at least 24-30 characters.
You aint going to play all 18 to a proficient level are you so what does it matter...
The game looks beautiful and the gameplay is amazing. I'm am a street fighter fan since sf 2 and I'm very excited ❤
I just bought the standard edition today, and I'm excited to try it
I love the Yakuza like world tour🙂
It'll never replace the first Street Fighter: Alpha on Saturn
My favourite 'questioning the worth of Street Fighter 6' youtuber
Glad to hear you refereced tobal no.1. Such an underrated classic and my first fighting game
Super Street fighter 2 was it for me , where they had Bruce Lee , Cammie , DJ , and Tomahawk... Probably got the names wrong , but that was it for me that was the last one that was any good . I moved on to stuff like Tekken .... I hated the SF alpha stuff .
The only names you got wrong Bruce lee you're referring to fei long , and tomahawk you're referring to T.Hawk
Street fighter 💪 😎
I’ve always been terrible at fighting games like Street Fighter, Tekken and Mortal Kombat. To many controls for moves and to fast paced for me.
Keep at it!
Thin roster compared to its competitors.
Needs about 6-8 more options in the launch edition
How isn’t it worth $60 it’s worth $70 even your lucky capcom isn’t increasing their prices on their games
I played street fighter 2 back in the 90s so much I loved it ❤❤❤
It's great to hear a review about fighting games, outside the fighting game space. Great review, I hope it draws people to pick up Street Fighter 6.
Had a little treat to myself , bought street fighter 6 and diablo , don’t usually buy any games nowdays.
Street Fighter EX plus Alpha on PS2 was, imo, peak street fighter with great controller response and ability to accumulate power ups
A Game of the year to me, best 60 bucks I spent this year.
I know, right??
RGT, you are among the very best game reviewers on the platform. Take ya flowers, fam!
I'll wait for the Ultra Street Fighter 6 Arcade Rainbow Edition
Street Fighter 6 sucks. You have to create an online Capcom ID in order to play online on Street Fighter 6! What is the point in creating a Capcom online ID when you already have a PlayStation Network online ID, a Nintendo Network online ID, an Xbox Series X/S online ID and a gaming PC online ID? That doesn't make any sense!
I still have my copy I played as a kid on snes of sf2 I love that game.
Thank u dude u said it best. Completely agree one of the best fighting games I’ve played 🤙🏽
In the world tour u pay with there currency but in battle u nee drive tickets, /fp
U have to use real cash to pay for fp.
Agreed because I can't put the game down 10/10
Hey RTG 85! Hey Shawn. OMG ITS STEVIE RICHARDS!!
I atleast need to wait for it to be $30 with the season pass, or for the super edition to come out
A lot of folks really seem to be not very happy with that $49.99 dlc pass, I'm still sitting on the fence to buy the game.
I don’t play online and will wait for a sale for the extra fighters. I bought it and am really enjoying it. My 1st fighting game on PS5 ….
I didn’t want Street Fighter 6 until i saw happy console gamer review !!!
I’m not even a hardcore street fighter fan and I love the world tour and combat . It’s a fantastic game imo.
hard for me to justify any fighting game or even sports game. especially if you can wait a little
My favorite street fighter 6 TH-camr
They put all the chips in on this one and freaking nailed it! I love this game as a long-time fan of the series
It's kind of the direction I wanted fighting games to go. I always wanted a mix of final fight/double dragon and how street fighter 2 was.
The retro hub is nice. The game looks great and it was really cool of them to put it on the PS4! :D
I appreciate the knick fandom 🙏🏾🙏🏾 GO KNICKS!!!!!!
I actually love the artwork presented in the arcade mode it looks straight from a udon book their artwork is very good i have two of their art books one for street fighter another one for darkstalkers
I personally do not like the art style. It's ok, it looks very overwatch type.
God bless you RGt 85!!
Stay focus and healthy!
Mortal Kombat was the real combat sport game the best and good storys and bloody:P Even Teeken 8 is nice and the new game is out soon just like Mortal kombat 1
I've learned my lessons from Steet Fighter IV and V...I'll wait a few years and get the final version whenever it releases.
Even better skip this game all together.. Tekken and mortal kombat will be better.
I was on the fence bout getting this you made it easier for me
Every game comes out $60. Give it a few months and Capcom will drop the price, unless other games... Cough cough, Zelda botw (decade old) cough.
Really great Video RGT 85.
Man SFV at Launch was beyond bare bones but it's a much better Game now than it was at Launch and I think you would enjoy it.
SF6 is at the Top of its Game no doubt about it guys, I Paid 100 Bucks for it 😀.
Whether you Play Offline/Online or abit of both, it's got all kinds of Modes & Controls for all kinds of different Gamers.
I held off on SFV until the very last physical edition. (Champion Edition I think.)
Really fighting the urge to get 6 instead of waiting.
@@registereduser yh Champion Edition of SFV is the Version too get but I would go for SF6 now, might aswell if you enjoy Street Fighter Games or Fighting Games in-general man 👍.
I got this Friday and iv put in like 8 hours over the weekend and this game is worth every dollar; I would have paid $70 tbh
I know right?! I'm 20 hours in and loving everything it has to offer.
Im still playing it right now lol
I was worried about the title. I preordered the game and I’m thinking did I flush money down the toilet
I'm surely gonna buy this game somewhere in future when Akuma gets unleashed but until then It's WAY too expensive for me.
Street fighter 6 will never go on Nintendo cause Nintendo is a failure console that just doesn’t believe in better graphics better performance more power
Tel gram is back baby 😂 😂 😂 😂
Tel gram it’s time to change you diaper cause it’s full 😂
How about a little chow tel gram
It’s not a failure console lol, second best selling home console of all time
@@frmug it’s time to change your diaper cause it’s full tel gram 😂
Mk1 gameplay at summer game fest 2023 this Thursday Shawn...bring it up dude. 😊 Xbox series X 💚 let's fuckin go!! 🎉
I'll wait for a sale.
In my country if you want the full game it cost you over usd$100, it's ridiculous.
It's only $51 right now for the Steam edition on green man gaming! Copped
As a SF player since the 1990s, theres at least a dozen characters missing, WTF
For once a gaming studio learmed their lesson took feedback and totally blew it out of the water with its next game
I like the “OG” World Tour Mode: a little airplane sprite moving across a 2D map
Played the demo. Gameplay seems solid. Can’t stand the hip hop music though. I will definitely be playing it muted if I pick it up.
110 for the top tier version? Historically these games drop in price pretty quickly. I'll just wait.
I’m skipping SF6. Tekken 8 waiting room for me. I like anime 2d fighters where characters move rapidly and SF6 is just too slow
RGT 85 accepted a TEMU sponsor, never forget.
After 6 months with this game I can equivocally say YES. It is worth your money. I'm an online ranked player only and i'm moving characters up from rookie. Immense amount of joy if you enjoy fighting games... This is the one... At least until tech and 8 comes out.
The game is amazing, and the gameplay is fun and rewarding! This will be a memorable run in the history of the franchise, will be bigger than 3, 4 and 5!!
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Not a single person in the entire universe:
RGT: this shirt
if you re a casual gamer like me and looking for some fun in a video game. i would 100% recommend this game. its pretty fun and the combat is insane as well.
I wish ed boon would drop a Shaolin monks, it was so innovative for its time. Also the campaign for Armageddon was great
Excellent review RGT 85.
No one I’ve watched talked about the retro game stuff. Thanks dog
I do like street fighter 6 but i still prefer mortol kombat overall
anyone who thinks this game is not full of content, must have never bought SF5 when it came out, next to that game, this is like mind blowing, even i, a skeptic, loved the content, but it did help that i paid $45 for it brand new since one shop was selling it on discount, it was pretty awesome.
The best non-Nintendo content from the best Nintendo TH-camr!
I'll wait for the Super Duper Ultra Endgame edition like I normally do with SF.
