I've watched countless other tutorials from so called experts and DIY channels, but hands down this is classic How To .. simple, to the point and above all, works beautifully. Thank you!

Agree!! Granted, this guy is obviously a skilled, old school carpenter.. but some of these other video guys Ive watched are making new door/old frame seem like building the space shuttle or something. I need to use power tools but this makes sense to me.

He seems contently quiet. I admire that from someone who can’t shut up.

I'm about to install a new hardwood stable type outside door for the kitchen, in the existing frame. This video helped, but it seems there's more to it than meets the eye.

I imagine a master artist, would have the same drab attitude when doing a short instructional video on how to color in a coloring book

sounds like you are a simpleton who needs loud flashy entertainment for your mind to have any interest in anything.. he strikes me as a great old school carpenter, with a quiet confidence..

I've been doing this for 32 years and it does get complicated if you dont know what you are doing and we have all been there
but that is standard for solid doors usually 7x9"
But all depends on the width of the mullions just try not to disturb those areas
      Hope this helps

I’ve recently started hanging doors at work and I’ve never planned the hinge side down ... so that bit went right over my head does he do that because he knows how much the door will move over to the latching side due to the knuckle of the hinge ?
