I love all this stuff! I was excited to see that CFRN exhibit. The big greenish TV camera (a Marconi, perhaps) was cool, but adjacent to it was an RCA TK-76 portable camera and power supply. I was one of the engineers on that camera project in 1975-76. You know you're old when stuff you designed is on display in antique shows!
what a life you have made for yourself.... every vid it just amazes me. Glad you found your niche while you're still relatively young. course, I'm so old most everyone is relatively young to me.
That takes me back to when I used to do table top sales and boot sales. Good fun. Looks like a great venue with some really good stuff. Glad you did well. :)
Glad you had a good time. Personally I am a minimalist so I would not have purchased anything. I do think these shows are good in that memorabilia is saved from the landfill and goes to people who will cherish and respect the items.
I sell handmade jewelry at a craft show in Wimberly, TX. The craft show is in it's 4th year this year, but isn't happening due to the organizers being sick.
love your vids, just found you today been watching for hours lol.i grew up going to flea markets and setting up at antique shows in the summers with my dad in upstate NY,hes been in NC for over twenty yrs now. he and i both would love to go to your shop,he has the same taste in cool stuff as you do.i miss them days.thx
I have a Lionel 027 gauge train that we got when I was a kid, my parents actually got it by sending in labels from Van Camps Pork and Beans. Really neat, has the missile launcher car where the missiles actually fly, and the cattle car with the cow that pops out when you pull up to the ramp. I have several cars with it, and a few accessories like the station. It has been packed away for a few years so I don't remember exactly what it has, but it was in working condition when I last had it out. Seems like the 027 gauge has somewhat fallen out of style, I don't see them a lot anymore.
Cool show Alex. The main reason for this posting is to say may God bless all the people who lost loved ones in Toronto. You're our neighbors and Friends. My eyesight is still bad so I hope this email came out the way I said it take care of you.
Awesome vid! Reminded me of last year when I opened up a booth for my dad's massive vintage collectible and antiques at a Hobby expo. He enjoyed it and I love seeing young people looking at my dad's collections and telling stories. A few people tried to buy his collections of Coca cola bottles n cans but we only exhibited them and selling was not allowed. But this year he is super excited to open the booth again and we are going to pack food and wear thick jackets next time as it was freezing in the hall. Thanks for the video and I'm subscribing ur channel😁
Interesting video. Me, I can't sell anything. People love my stuff but everyone wants it for free so I simply quit going to shows altogether. I've found that numbers and location are everything; neither of which are available in northern Ontario. Kick in around 3-5 hundred for the booth space and you're broke before ya even start. Glad you made something but I'm thinking the motorcycle made it look much more profitable than it really was. All the same, I'm glad you are happy. God bless.
Great video glad you sold & found some good stuff.. I picked up a set 1945 license plates this week at a really old antique/picker store in the middle of no where a old mining town it was wall to wall stuff.
I watched an episode on How Clean is your house and there was a house that had a refrigerator in it that had not been opened up for some years. They put a tube with a camera at the end of it, that showed a snow like substance. It was not snow, it was a extremely hazardous bacteria. I was so afraid when you opened that refrigerator. Please don’t open it again. I’m sure that it belongs in a hazardous waste place. Don’t put you or your family at risk with that fridge. Tape it up and get something to move it and get it out of there. Be Safe! Jean from Arizona 🦂☀️🌴🌵🦎🏜🤢
Hey Alex; a new subscriber from Washington State, I really enjoy your channel. Where can I get a denim 'Trump' jacket like yours, love it. I love your attitude, your antique shop, etc., etc.. Keep up the good work!!
Is that top hat an opera hat... the kind that flattens down then pops back up? What size is it? Whats it worth? How much would the crazy Canadian shipping be to Alabama 35466?
How do you sell anything when you are walking around? I would worry that someone would steal something. I wouldn't put my son in charge of the booth because people would prefer to work with adults that are more knowledgeable.
If you ever find a edison wax roll player with rolls at a cheap price that works please let me know my name is Mike iam from elma n.y not Canada I love old things like you if interested I might have some old stuff for you if you want it I have a old auto harp with case
You are cool but trying to talk music with your kids is a lost cause .Later in life they might start to like your choice of music .However they will never admit it .HaHa !

That’s really cool! I’m sure my camera friend John would be thrilled to hear that!

Thanks Richard, very kind :)
Ha ha. I loved the typical dad part, making Stephen cringe by asking him about what music is popular lol. Very funny.
It’s my job to drive him nuts ;)
Absolutely. :)
I am excited to go with you So much interesting stuff!!
Glad you had a good time. Personally I am a minimalist so I would not have purchased anything. I do think these shows are good in that memorabilia is saved from the landfill and goes to people who will cherish and respect the items.

Looked like fun. Your son was so cute. Typical teenager not too impressed with his Dads singing. LOL
Sadly missed the show for the first time in many years! However, the trade off was that we were in Maui! Another great video Alex!
Good trade I’d say George:)

mmmm butterscotch radio
A knock out!
You go through more vehicles than a used car lot!!
Kid is thinking Dad don’t embarrass me because Dad knows nothing about what is hip in music. My teen daughter is the same way.
Embarrassing kids is a parents job ;)
so you'll know, on the kind of organ thing, they're called cobs not reels, from their resemblance to a corn cob.
That makes sense :)
Hey Alex; a new subscriber from Washington State, I really enjoy your channel. Where can I get a denim 'Trump' jacket like yours, love it. I love your attitude, your antique shop, etc., etc.. Keep up the good work!!
Ha! It actually says Triumph like the motorcycle ;) I get asked about that all the time
How do you keep so calm...
That "contraption" is a cream separator.
I was actually taking about the roller organ that we payed after the picture of the separator box :)
Curiosity Incorporated oh ok my bad
Is that top hat an opera hat... the kind that flattens down then pops back up? What size is it? Whats it worth? How much would the crazy Canadian shipping be to Alabama 35466?
It wasn’t an opera hat sadly but an English beaver pelt :)
I had one of those. Didn't work out for me.
good start bud but needs a little more... umph
