    lots of knick knackery,lol! that 1st shop with the little puppy in it is gorgeous, love the goodies and presentation of it all. my grandparents had a shop called Annies Attic back in the 70s when I was a wee shaver. unfortunately I was to young to have taken an active interest or gotten an education from things, back then it was kids are seen and not heard,so in that shop it was sit down,be quiet,don't touch and certainly don't break anything and act like an umbrella stand. some people just aren't children people. I love teaching my kids and friends children, they're just little inquisitive little learning sponges in my opinion and should be loved and nurtured and taught if they show an interest in things.thanks for the tour.▪☆☆☆▪

    Engine block is most probably a boat anchor used for a permanent mooring. Old tired out blocks are perfect due to weight and being dirt cheap.

    I'm so glad to see a straight, decent family man doing something he loves and people love just as much.
    Congratulations.

    At 6:26 into the film, in the center planter of the highway, I noticed at least one PALM TREE. I visited the island a couple of years ago and did not see any palms. Interesting!

    • @michelletothill8551
      @michelletothill8551 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There have been palm trees on Vancouver Island for many years. Nanaimo has had a display of them for 40+ years. But the truly unique trees are the Arbutus trees. They only grow near the coast along the West Coast of North America, broad leaf evergreens with beautiful peeling red bark, white flowers in the spring and red berries in the fall, they are a special tree.

    Hey , I really like your You Tube Show here. You do the camera well, meaning you turn it slowly so you can see every thing. I like the way you tell the history of everything. I am a guitar collector but my wife says I am a guitar hoarder .I just hope if I go first she doesn't sell them for what I told her I paid for them. I just started watching your video's intensly over the last few days and realy enjoy watching the ones where you travel with your family. Keep on making the video's and I will keep watching. A new fan in North Carolina,USA

    You should do a meet and greet the next time you're on the island! Also you should check out some of the thrift stores in Sydney. They're not antiques per say but I've found a few treasures with a few hundred!

    Been watching your videos, love them all! I love antiques. One of my dreams is for some store owner to just lock me in & let me spend the night so I can look & admire all I want without seeming too “weird “ as a patron!? I believe that’s pretty weird in itself! LOL!!! Only a lover of antiques would understand. Was just wondering if you ever hesitate to buy & bring home a piece because it seems a little freaky or has “odd” vibes to it. You never know what the story is to a particular piece.

    *7:40** that old cabinet looks to be swedish made or made by swedish immigrants, 1800s. The style is called "allmoge". It is not the most beautiful one I have seen but pretty neat seeing one on this side of the pond*
