    Don’t worry allery, I will subscribe to make sure your channel prospers, and I will even watch your videos after my a levels finish, I’d just like to request of you if it is possible for you to go over most required practicals in detail with the theory and the set up, as this would help us immensely as I fear a lot of students like myself will lose marks on potential practical related questions, so I’d like to request that you’d cover the chemistry required practicals with the steps, theory’s and reasonings within good depth.
    Stay safe allery, lots of love.

    I don’t usually watch revision videos, but your chemistry ones are just amazing. I couldn’t thank you anymore. Unfortunately, you don’t teach biology too 😆

    The two molecules drawn are the exact same molecule but just flipped at (7:38), they would be enantiomers if the groups moved without the bonds (i.e dotted, wedge, straight). since these two molecules can still superimpose.

      Im pretty sure u have to move the bonds too because in the past I did what u said and got it wrong

    12:55 what would happen to the H when Br- was added ??
    Wont it be H3C-C-H-C2H5-Br + H ???

      It makes HBr with another bromine. The original reactants is butane and Br2. The Br2 splits into 2Br-. One Br- makes a halogenoalkane and the other Br- forms with the boken off H+ to make Hbr. It says it in the video

    Hi Sir, ur videos are very useful! thank you! Also I have a question about the optical isomer, what if a carbon atoms has a double bond? does that means that there will definitely be no optical isomer?

      yes bcs then the carbon doesnt have 4 different groups attached

    Wouldn’t the reaction be with HCN instead of KCN to form an OH group in propanal?

    • @joelb529
      @joelb529 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it can be with either as there is a separate reaction afterwards where it is reacted with HCl and water to allow for the carboxylic acid group to be formed
