Man I am a first time 6.0 owner and I sure wish I had your experience with my truck thanks for the videos I’m sure I will be using them to repair some issues with my 6.0.
I put KDD heads, a stage 2-10 blade turbo and Warren 175/30 injectors with TSD tunes all from KC in my 2003 a few years ago. Also an adrenaline HPOP and a bunch of BPD upgrades. Truck has stupid amounts of power and tows my almost 8000lb boat and trailer without issue as long as I keep my engine speed above 2000rpm. I have the stock turbo stored that I think I’ll rebuild as a stage 1 with A KC kit. I may reinstall it and have new tunes written just to eliminate the need to keep my RPMs up. I am sure the truck will still have more power than I need.
I wanna do the 10 blade swap but my truck only has 40k original miles and 3k miles on the new turbo lol. Engine bay is super clean I don’t feel like messing around with it just yet, keep up the content!
@@kxp.1496 Sometimes, usually just in the summer to tow my boat or to get the fluids going I’ll take it on the highway for a run. I have a Peterbilt I drive daily.
Great video, you have a very nice looking truck. i have been looking at your videos, i am glad you made this video, because i have been looking to do this to mine. i have a 2006 ford 4door 4x4 6.0 . i did have 4 of the 7.3 at one time. i love them .but now the 6.0. it is great . keep up the good work. i sub to you. you are at 17.6 k subs as of right now, you are close to 20k.
10:46 my cars are so much easier to work on vs my truck... Only if your truck had a full air ride suspension and you could lower it all the way down like a car with the push of a button, that'd make it much easier... Great video!!
Sweet truck, as far as steering, what type of setup consist with your steering components? I also have a 6.0 with 8-10” lift with Alcoa 24.5 on semi tires. However I have some steering wheel play. Just curious did you have to upgrade or change anything with the steering? Thanks
In this video yessir I had full 2” 1/4” wall dom tubing heim joint steering with 1.25” heims. I have a youtube video on that as well check it out. Type in heim joint steering justinhawksmith
Turbo blade sounds great and truck is beautiful. Question, I recently got an 06 F250 with 8 inch lift, 24' Fuel wheels and 35' MT Mud Hunter tires. This is the first lifted truck I've owned so I have a question that I hope you can help with. With these tires is it going to ride a little rough in slow speeds (0-20 mph)?
Slow slow speeds 1-10 miles an hour yessir it may. But they could be choppy or have some alignment wear or anything which could make them ride even worse. Maybe try rotating them and see if it helps! Best of luck thanks for watching.
i got a question on the balanced assembly ive watched a few videos but nobody specifies when putting on the compressor wheel do u just run it down snug then tighten to the paint mark? nobody really says and i dont wanna screw up anything btw great video
Yessir you put it back to the paint line that’s the proper torque spec marked from KC , any further can break shaft. No further , no less. Thanks for watching!
You only "snugged up" the housing bolts behind the compressor wheel... They should definitely atleast be tight if not torqued hope they are still holding up... Prolly are but if they back off.....
Haven’t seen a drain update , done new o rings on it , as as far as the feed line goes , just didn’t feel the need with mine being perfectly fine. Very easy to change if it ever does give out. Thanks for watching!
Just finished my install using your video (awesome video by the way) mine doesn’t sound quite as loud as yours for some reason. My truck has the factory 3” downpipe into a 4” exhaust. So I’m thinking that’s why. Going to order a 4” downpipe here soon.
@@natewstNo, but i did install a hood stack later on. That was ear piercing though, so i had to go back to normal. So i'd say with the bigger downpipe it would be just as loud as the one on this video

Snug ain't torqued and I'm basing this on the video of you barely snuggling them then installing the compressor wheel.... If I'm wrong I apologize, not trying to be a dick I'm a 20yr master tech and I believe that was the issue. We all make mistakes here and there good job on your videos tho
the 10 blade wheel from early 03 trucks is known to boost faster albeit louder its a 10 blade........ then they went to a 13 blade in late 03-04.5 and 05 impilmented a smaller 13 blade all for the purpose of noise reduction although they preform slightly worse..... 05 - 07 is a small 13 blade late 03-04.5 its a big 13 blade and 03-late 03 its a 10 blade wheel.
My truck also has a distinct wine on spool downs that sounds exactly like his as well. All the research I’ve done hints to it being normal... but some say theirs just starting wining like that out of the ordinary. I don’t know!
