I’m convinced you cannot be human to be in the top DCI lines. Primed hands, physically fit, incredibly fast learner and a ton of other qualities. Great job I really enjoyed this.
I actually learned so much from doing this stuff I didn’t even go to college for it because I thought it would be boring. So I joined the military instead!
5:22 all the chatting and chillin we would do while the ballad was going on would be what I miss the most. Since I'm a senior who isn't majoring in music and not trying for DCI that isn't happening for me again. 😔
Dawson Kling Hey how do you guys tape your casellas? Mine are always too light but then again you guys get shipped the best of the best. Just something I wanted to know, thanks!
idk, but I would love to see that 2016 finals warmup routine video.. a) TGas filmed both final runs for 16 and 17, and b) peep that high-cam for your answer as to why he couldn’t capture more of the line on film.. lmao I guess people forget the field was split in half ps BANGERS, official best in world 2022. Banging beats, breaking streaks. 2 words.
I dream for a year where this is an on-field battery multicam and not a on-field snare multicam. Even during the tenor feature at the end it's just a cell phone shot of one of the snares doing nothing. Every one of these are disappointing. Maybe next year...
Just being honest here, and I do appreciate the editing effort to transmit to snare cam, but I’d much rather have it just stick with the one recording. I just want to be able to hear the entire drum line come through in relation to the position with the brass. I just like watching snare cams separately.
Alexandre Aristy I would say it’s equal at the upper level DCI point. Especially because being a snare player in these Corps requires an incredible attention to detail to achieve that perfect cleanliness. Not saying tenors don’t need that too, but the goal of achieving cleanliness is easier to reach than snares.
@Alexandre Aristy IMO one isn't easier than the other they're just different skill sets. Very often I'll see that tenors focus more on the visual aspect and snares focus more on sound quality. Not to say that the other doesn't ever focus on the respective aspect, but cleaning a snareline and cleaning a tenorline are two very different goals.
@@mystic7244 I’m a snare player, and I don’t play anything except snare and drumset, but tenors do look a lot harder IMO. They play a slightly watered down version of the snare book rhythm wise, and on 5/6 drums. Not to mention the weight of the drums, and the difficulty when marching. Also, the music is harder to read. Then again I could be wrong because I’ve never played tenors (except once as a joke.) That being said, it’s much much harder to be a clean snare line then a clean tenor line, and I do believe it’s harder to learn snare then tenors.
Look I'm not a winy baby crying about not seeing the quads but etheir get a better filmer or just stand back because I don't want to stare at a random snare drummers head for 10 minutes
Jared B DCI doesn't include woodwind intruments, probably because they're not loud enough I'm guessing. They have the big horns only, trumpets, drumline with no cymbals, and pit

It’s possible we just practiced every chance we got and hit the gym at the same time all year round 😂

Thumbnail is as tasty as those beats
Originally the thumbnail was a pic of Kyle
snare on the right with the *pbbt* at 2:15 is golden
I was hoping more people would notice that
Thank god someone noticed
What do you mean he’s golden
I must’ve watched this 50 times, and I didn’t notice that

Absolutely awesome. I wished this tech existed when I was a Bluecoat in 1995.
That shout out to El paso tho🤘🤘👌
You can see my phone dangling off my drum at 1:42 lol
Dawson Kling you had one job
you legend
Dawson Kling Hey how do you guys tape your casellas? Mine are always too light but then again you guys get shipped the best of the best. Just something I wanted to know, thanks!
I'm 90% sure they tape the entire stick
Cxrtah All Casellas are pretty much the same weight - they may double tape them for extra weight.
What ever happened to drum corps tube this year RIP
what happened (Sorry I'm late lol)

@@lrf_g yo you were one of the snares on the championship run in 2016 what’s up dude?!!

@@lrf_g how fun was it getting to go down that slide after that sick snare section solo!
Most physically demanding show of 2017. Thank you Bloooo!
I march at chapin high school in el paso and mando just made me so happy!!
10:10 "LET'S FUCKING GO"
Yeaya it's about time! Nice vid Sabeel and what a great season
Man with gauges absolutely kills the choreography
Love the snares old school operation ivy shirt!
Yay a drum cam run through!
7:30 peep Jared tipping an invisible hat, despite wearing a visor lol
Is it wrong if I screamed out, "AAAAAHHHHHHH" after that more-than-clean spock roll after the quad solo??
I hope not :)
The spock roll was ... CLEAN!!!!!
i did too
FOr some reason, spock rolls are always cleaner than rolls on any other drum. The 6" drum is simply magical.
Los Papeles probably because it is the tightest and has the most rebound.
JUST NOTICED THE DESCRIPTION AHAHAHA
Do you know suzie?
Gotta love the Suzie reference in the description...
My favorite part of this show has go to be at 8:00 so jazzy!
HELL YEAH "915" 5:53
Adrian Marquez ay I live there
Love it, such a close personal look at you guys!
10:10 "lets fucking go!!!" 😂
Zach Fitz's hands are so nice
YES FINALLY IVE BEEN WAITING FOREVER!!!
Awesome footage. Thank you Sabeel!
Wish I could someday be a part of the bloo bangers, I wanna be a bluecoat so baaad

Thank you for blessing my day haha truly inspiring group

ABananaPeel cuz snares are better and more interesting
Don W bro chill, the fuq you on
you’re not taking into consideration that a snare is filming, our homie had to sit out the end of the season, so he filmed.
The guy on the snare line with the vans hat looks like Logic
The battery is more then just the snares.
One of those snare drummers looks just like Flea! (the guy next to Kyle)
I just wanted to point out the beautiful buzz at 6:41.
Catch that badass operation ivy shirt from Landon
Definitely cleaner than 2016
Love you Sabeel!!!
You should do BD one of these years. They REALLY love Bluecoats.
Wait I know you

This was a good snare cam, a little lacking on the rest of the drumline. =_==_=

Did you guys say Joe Woodie at 2:53?
Could I use this for a learn the beats video?
I like them.
"Insanely cool tenor feature", focuses camera on snare doing noting but going behind a prop. No respect for my fav instrument :,(
Snare is better anyway ;D
Alexandre Aristy true but tbh it depends on the person some find quads easy and some find snare easy I like both but I play snare better than quads

Where'd you guys get the idea to do the behind the head football field at 2:11 😒
ballad is the best part
why didnt you go back to bluecoats this year?
guy at 0:35 has some muscular hamstrings
Who was marching center snare this year?
Christian Boose Kyle.
The weird lookin Asian kid
Christian Boose hey that's my profile picture
@@KyleTsuchiya Yeah "weird".
Yo are you playing for any indoor percussion ensembles?
I am curious, why did neither you, nor Mando record the ballad portion of the show?
I'm pretty sure they don't play during the ballad.
Addictive Bloolade they play under the stage I’m pretty sure
Only the basses play during the ballad
Did they all play during the ballad earlier in the season then?
MattyIce S I think so
THERE WERE BABY CYMBALS???
Yo I didn’t see u in finals lot. Did u play for the whole season? What happened?
The tenor in 2:23, is he wearing an in-ear-monitor? Why does he needs it? Just wondering.
That or maybe ear protection, drum lines are loud loud.
Hey sabeel where's you snare cover bluecoats 2017? 😂
he auditioned to march bc 2017, he made it but unfortunately injured his arm in the beginning of the season and is currently recovering
@@raayney injured wrist in my opinion

How did you mic this? Thanks!
was it you that put suvin in the queso?
Lmao no Suvin is a tenor tech..
Hey Sabeel, I dont think I saw you marching snare drum, but I also only noticed 8 snare drummers. Whats up with that?
He had a a wrist injury midway through the season if I recall correctly.
SHOW THE TENORS 😭
Yah where are you sabeel
Question: Why do the tenors have ear pieces?
Andy Guy CantYouLift I’m pretty sure it’s to help them play clean during the feature when they are really spread apart.
Possibly.
Finally
What college did they do this run at?
indiana wesleyan university
Drum corps tube rip
915 😤
Ig the ear pieces never worked
Yes. 5th place is some bullshit.
English 11 tbh their drumline and color guard carried them
2:17 lol
So is this two different runs spliced together?

Quads at 3:30....yikes
Look I'm not a winy baby crying about not seeing the quads but etheir get a better filmer or just stand back because I don't want to stare at a random snare drummers head for 10 minutes
Yeah if only T-Gas did a better job huh.
Honestly you can‘t watch this, the camera is so freakin close to the line that you can hardly see two players at a time... a pity
Who is this band?
Jared B Bluecoats, they're a DCI drum corp
They seem decent. Where are the woodwinds?
Jared B DCI doesn't include woodwind intruments, probably because they're not loud enough I'm guessing. They have the big horns only, trumpets, drumline with no cymbals, and pit
And on top of that their drums can't last one performance without obnoxiously shouting. Their loud "duh's" totally takes away from the music.
Yeah totally, I think they should also switch to mylar heads since Kevlar is just too crisp for the mellow clarinet ensemble playing in the back.
Is bass 5 roger carter?
LMAO no.
0:57 3:29 6:33
O
Why is it so zoomed In and the audio for the drum cam is trash .
The amount of zoom bothers me
In the video, you can see he recorded it with his phone. I don't think there was much he could do about it :|
I wish they gave the tenors some more love too :(
