Izzy to me really represented an evolution of MMA. I really appreciate the freestylebender video's. This recent break down, his buddy had great energy & mindset. @YBAX I think thats unlikely, as Pereira has the chance to knock him out every single minute of 25. We don't know if Izzy can do the same. I believe he comes with a whole different gameplan. Maybe he works on his bjj or sth. I feel like, if Izzy wins, it will be by a surprise, a strategy that was not expected bei poatan. If he approaches the fight similarly, I believe Poatan would again win by TKO.

The Izzy fights between him and Alex it's like a hard mission from a game you are able to do good through out the mission, but then you fail at the end of the mission. Sad but true izzy it's a more technical striker but seems to forget Alex fights the same rhythm from rd1 to rd5. I think Izzy can get it done but he needs to pressure Alex.

Many people view it that way. In reality, Izzy went aggressive BECAUSE there were a couple seconds left in the round. If there was a minute more in the round, it would've been the same result.

Volk is clearly a better striker than Islam, but he doesn't have the power to put Islam down. It's gonna be 5 rounds of Volk trying to get back up, moving backwards, trying to keep his back off the cage. As we saw with Justin G against Khabib, it completely drained his cardio having to work in that fashion.
Alex has INSANE cardio and it'll be put to the test this Saturday.
With all that being said, I'm pulling for, Volk.
If anyone can beat Islam right now, I think Volk is the one to do it.
I cant see him staying on his bike for 25 mins. Islam is going to catch him in the mid-late rounds when the gas tank is a bit more drained and proabably sub him. If not I think he secures rounds 4 and 5 with a TDs + control at a minimum. Charles was a much bigger KO threat and Islam was relatively reckless on the feet compared to what we were all expecting, i dont think hes going to respect Volks power at all in this one.
@@Adam-xe5xm That's a very likely scenario, for sure. I too don't know how he's gonna be able to keep Islam off of him for the full 25 minutes when it's prominently grappling. It's a different kind of cardio than someone just pressuring you on the feet, obviously. If it was a striker Volk was going against, he could probably use footwork to navigate around his opponent for 10 rounds, never mind 5. That's how crazy insane his cardio is.
But, so is Islam's....
I just don't think Volk has the power in his hands to keep Islam off of him. He throws one low kick he's on the ground....
