- Engineering can make your bi-Weave shield amazing. Here are some explanations and ways to set your shield and boosters.
Especially for PVE with Bi-Weave shield, Raw shield HP is not always best option, balancing Shield resistances (thermal and kinetic) at the cost of less shield HP can be much better.
No setup for shields/boosters are perfect, up to you to tweak/experiment.

I've been looking through notes and suggestions about how to optimize my bi-weaves and this video--your mode of speech--is nerdy in the best possible way and I felt like James Bond being given nitty-gritty details by Q.

Im trying to build a fast recharge build for my cutter but the problem with bi weave shields is that they stop recharging for 2 seconds every time you take damage wich is about 65% of the time in a fight and even with high end resists the prismatic shield still has alot more survivability. Like with prismatic i have 7423 shield hp with 39% thermal resist and 64% kinetic and explo resists wich result in 12k ehp against thermal damage and 20k+ against the other damage types. With bi weave and 60% resists i have around 3k shield hp and only 9-10k ehp. So my shield would have to break and recharge to 0-50% 3-4!! times without me dying before i would get the same ehp out of it as with a buffer tank.
that why i prefer bi weave on medium or small. heavy ship are big target. i prefer prismatic on those
How is your shield HP that high? Is it just generator engineered, or generator and boosters engineered? Or Guardian? When base HP is so low I'm wondering how to improve it the best...
