  • Boundaries disappear in a relationship with a narcissist. I felt that my boundaries were stronger before I entered the relationship with the narcissist. Narcissistic Abuse. It is important to set different type of boundaries, because of the gaslighting and manipulation.

Seeing the SMILES come back at the end of your documentary is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. You all have it at the end and it does come back... PEACE

I think a lot of this has to do with their gaslighting which erodes our intuition and our sense of self.

Excellent and completely accurate. The process is insidious and develops over time, it is not instantaneous, so really it is very difficult to understand or escape. A horrible time for the person on the receiving end.

Yes, that's true, boundaries disappear but it feels very good at first... When there is trust and person tells you everything about himself.

They used my boundries as ammo for future violations. Boundries dont always help me but they always helped the creature.

Dear Aletta, do you allow translating your documentary into another languages? I mean adding voice translation to the video.

IMO (from experience): we relax our boundaries as we feel and trust that we have 'met our soulmate'. Then we learn by their behaviour that their definition of LOVE carries nothing of the kindness, stability and caring one would expect from _true_ loving of another.
Thus, this lesson is one of learning more of our own _integrity_, AS WELL AS stretching us to move beyond Good Vs Bad and all types of unfairness and injustice, while carrying NEW and _stronger_ boundaries within us as we meet the world moving forward with our lives - in kindness, compassion and inclusion: with a fresh _wisdom_ of discretion!
In short: We update not only our MAPs of the possibilities in the world (to include new hazards), but we also update our Navigation system as well. A Heartfelt harmony you carry within you now denotes your personal loving success. ☮

What I like about your approach to discussing the topic of narcissism is that you address the 'empath side' as well and critically while other focus just on how bad the narcissist is, which may all be true, but there are also issues with the other person such as boundries and many other things that need to be examined and hopefully fixed over time.

My ex has just kicked off massively cause I set a boundary in our friendship..... I put a stop to some very disrespectful behaviour and he had a massive tantrum by text! He was so nasty and manipulative. I've ignored him now X
