Got the Imperial Federation achievement yesterday and it took forever and was NOT worth it. In theory it's super OP, especially if you defeat the US and give Canada cores on America, but it costs so much PP and takes so long that it requires you to basically throw everything else to the wayside

This is crazy but I just watched this video a few days ago and then saw the AI do this in a game. Kinda a weird game though. I was US and had the game overall set to historical except Mexico and Canada which I had set to go fascist to mix it up a bit and hopefully create a North American front. Mexico went Fash, I declared on them using the oil fields CB, Mex joined Axis, and I ended up killing almost 1M German troops and most of their navy in Mexico before they had invaded Poland. So the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact focus got paused because they were under the field manpower requirement. I decided to hold back and see what happened, and ultimately the war in Europe started a year late in fall 1940. This gave Neville enough time to hang around and die and the AI chose Halifax
My only issue with this strat is while the development focuses aren't super worth it, you do inherit the factories at the end of the day too. Yes you Habra to get the compliance for the Raj ones, but it does mean more factories eventually (even if it is 70 days)

Um no if “Triumph in Africa” fails there’s two other focuses that trigger automatically which activates the power balance.

If you play as Monarchist or Fascist you can get it done by 1938/39, but yeah it's a lot of hoops to jump through and a lot of pp.
