Awesome button. I just found my first military button, on family property. It belonged to my great uncle who passed a few years ago at age 92. He fought in the bombing of Pearl Harbor, in the Navy. It had the eagle and an anchor on it. Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I was trying to get some tips on how to remove the cover off of my sniper coil. I got it off, just had to break the sand and water that had it sealed on. It caused the detector to have a lot of chatter.

Liz...I'm glad to hear that, stick with what you're used to, but just my advice, if you can, get the atmax, the wireless headset is very convenient, and garrett also made a wireless carrot that beeps in the headset, plus the atmax has a back light, the atmax is basically the at pro on steroids

I have had the sniper for about 3 years for my 400. It is a great coil to have. I am still waiting on a field to be harvested where there was a old house that was burned. I have found a 1832 large cent and other coins with my 5x8 but still need to hit it with the sniper.

Finding the large flat button the great seal button detecting with the small sniper coil allowed you find some interesting items. . Keep on digging and find more every time you go digging.
Nice finds Gypsy. Love the button congrats. Those 2 piece buttons are hollow & dent easily. That spoon handle looks hand engraved very pretty. Probably an expensive set of flatware. GL HH
Hey Gypsy, did it come with the coil shield on the bottom when you bought it? I'm looking at one for a super trashy farm field and meadow over here in Germany. From 1919-1935, the German government sewed trash into all farm fields, which somehow increased the yield from the crops. Not a clue how, but all fields here are super trashy, with anything from cuckoo clocks to silver pocket watches and so many old coins it would blow your mine. But larger coils really have a hard time in these fields. Not bad in the forests, but with all the shrapnel from 2 world wars, that can be a pain also. I'm running an AT Pro International and a Minelab Xterra 705 with the 9"concentric or the 10x12 DD. The 9" CC works better with a lower frequency than the 18Khz DD on the Minelab. I prefer the Garrett over here. The Minelab works better in the gold fields back home in the US in Nevada side of the Sierras. In your junk piles, do you separate out the different metals, like aluminum, iron etc, and then sell it to scrap metal buyers? I do over here, but it must be super clean and ready for smelting. Unlike in Nevada. They don't care so much if every spec of dirt is off of it. But it's extra cash for something you'd throw away. Bob in Germany
If I had dug that Prince Albert can my heart would have stopped! A lot of people used to put their money in those and bury them instead of putting the money in the bank! One more good thing about the small coil is you don't have to use the pinpointing feature on detector because it's so small it is its own pinpointer!

The "owners name and address tag" would've likely been on luggage. That frame piece likely created the envelope or pocket if you will in which to place the owners name. Given the army button find I'd say that whoever lived there was a traveled person.
Gypsy, did you have your Max in Pro Zero using that coil ? And did you happen to try pin pointing any of your items or is it just small enough area that you just dig ?

That is quite the haul !!!! Sniper coil works very well. I am adding the AT Pro back into my arsenal and will definitely acquire that coil.

Clarksville Diggers I still use it. Mainly in really trashy areas and places where there are a lot of iron.

I beleive that the first piece you found is the burner for a kerosene lamp, the part the wick sticks out of.
