Nice video. Like how you show the numbers you're getting. Many videos out there where the guys just swing and find and you never get to see the reading. I have an AT Max and am always looking for this type of video to help me identify targets.
Glad to see you back, Looks like that knife your using is giving you some problems, thanks for demo on the AT Max, I think the only difference is the Max can go deeper than the Pro. Hope to see you around more. HH&GL
Good to see you Bill. I always enjoy your TH-cam videos. Thanks for trying out the AT Max, it looks like another good unit for Garrett. Now if you get get the folks at Minelab to let you try out the equinox 800. HH :)
Thank you for posting this vid - we miss seeing your detecting videos! Hope you have some more with the Deus with the new HF coils sometime in the near future :)
I should have a Detech Chaser coming along with an Explorer SE Pro and a Fisher CZ70 and CZ5 to make some videos with. Also the new minelab Equinox when it come out so stay tuned....;o)
I think this machine would have been so much better if the kept the audio more like the AT Pros audio. It sounds more like the AT Gold. I however like the all metal mode and the wireless feature with the Max.
Gee, great to see you back Bill! Was beginning to wonder what happened to ya. Have you tried out the Teknetics Patriot? I got one and think it is a really great machine. By the way, I still have the Eurotek Pro :)
Glad to see a video from you after such a long break! Curious what your opinion is about the sensitivity and the stability of the AT Max. Several comments being made about it being noisy and unstable.
I hunt mostly real trashy parks and need a detector with a real accurate ID. The Safari was real accurate and went deep. To me the Safari is a lot better detector for the type of hunting I do. Now if I were a relic hunter hunting a lot of fields the AT Max may be better suited. Overall I would take a Safari no doubt. I dont like the scratchy tones on the AT Max.
DirtFishing I agree, I dont like the scratchy tones. I have found a lot of silver with my Safari but I do sometimes get fooled with deep nails hoping that its an "iffy" sounding deep coin.
cache mole - i agree with Past Masters. For me it was confusing because even good signals would have a scratchy tone. So i never knew what i was digging. constantly making crackling sounds no matter what you go over unless the ground is really clean.
Target id is unstable...over sensitive, if you discriminate Anything out, even iron, you lose depth. Trust me I've run many different tests. The only way to run this machine to get depth is zero mode wide open. Good luck in high trash areas! You'll always dig Shallow targets. I love my Pro after 4 years but this Max is a joke
I bet they are. I would also bet that they got their units for free too. I was contacted by a company one time to promote their products and they told me I could not say anything negative about any of their products. See how it goes.
DirtFishing It will be interesting to see how the Equinox is on American and Canadian coins. I'm waiting to see once we get out hands on them over here.
A pleasant narration and technically spot-on use of the AT Max, pinpointer, and digging tool. Nice work!

I'm glad you made another video. Your videos are always truthful and no nonsense.
Fixing to upgrade to at max from at pro. Apparently the numbers are same. Max is more sensitive. Enjoyed the video
It's Great to see you back, always enjoyed your videos. you tell it like it is.
Glad to see you back. Always enjoy your videos.
gday from oz,great to see you back, keep em coming.
Made my night seeing a new video from you. Good to see you back and thanks for this video.
Nice video, good to see you back with a video, keep 'em coming, I always enjoy them! Thanks.
Glad to see you posting videos again, Bill!
Interesting video. Looks like you were picking up everything that dropped prior to them putting down sod.
Nice to see a video from I really enjoy them some of best thanks for sharing.

The large display is a good improvement.

Nice to see a new video! You should post up some more f19 vids!
Thanks. I have one of the Minelab equinox on order. I will make some vids when that comes in.
DirtFishing I was hoping for that. I as well have a Equinox on preorder! Can't wait.
You've ran a Minelab Safari before, how do you compare the AT Max to it?
I hunt mostly real trashy parks and need a detector with a real accurate ID. The Safari was real accurate and went deep. To me the Safari is a lot better detector for the type of hunting I do. DirtFishing - sold the max because of those tones. Bought the 3030.. what a difference!
So don't come on here again its only for the at max I'm reporting this page you now put me off buying it
Nice video bud
If you would be digging with the garret digger it would have bent in that ground. They bend easy
good machine, just takes a bit to get used to
Why no comments on recents videos?
I have a couple hundred videos and just did not have time to keep up with all the comments as I like to try and answer all questions.
The AT Max is a confusing poorly put together machine! I am selling mine. Nothing like the AT Pro.
Past Masters How so?

I pretty much agree. I would rather swing an AT Prol
DirtFishing Why is that? The Hoover Boys are singing the praises of this machine...
