People can tell you what you need, but only you know what really works for you. My game really improved once 3W became my driver. I get more balls in the fairway off the tee. A bit of distance lost, but having the ball in play? Super. I play to have fun. I'm having more fun. The mini drivers, 3W, all make sense for a lot of people. Tee off with whatever keeps the ball on the short grass for you the most.
Hi James, love the reviews. Have you have a chance to play the MacGregor MACSPD Irons. I have not seen to many reviews on these irons and was curious how they are.
I have a Mizuno range fitting tomorrow for irons and potentially wedges. Will have to hold back from getting hybrids as well. I think for several years Mizuno’s woods have been the best traditional looking out there along with Titleist. Sounds like performance is finally coming through. Love the blue accent this year
I invested in the ST Max Driver, 3wd, 5wd and 4hybrid, they are fantastic, easy to launch, they feel great, solid distance and all at a great price.! 👌🏼
I love my mizuno pro 225 irons and recently swapped out sm8 vokeys for the new t24 mizuno wedges and I have mizuno putter but top of the bag I have the tsr3 stuff but after watching the hybrid and now woods from mizuno you have me wanting to test them. Can see me going full mizuno before long, they just make brilliant golf stuff.
Marketing opportunity perhaps? How about some t-shirts or other garment with any one of the following; "Oh, that is so delightful" "I'll go on divot duty" (Chris) "Yeah, Yeah" (Gaz)
In a 3W I want forgiveness, high launch and decent distance. My G425 SFT (adjusted to 17.5 degrees so more like a 4W) gives me the first two but I’d like a bit more distance….. It’s one of my most reliable clubs so reluctant to change. Thoughts? (I’m less consistent with it at 16deg).
I gambled on st max driver. So far so good! Not my longest distance club, was getting better max from cobra, but dispersion was much better. In play at 290-310 is better than lost at 320.
To expand on my previous comment, I just checked the price on the Mizuno ST Max 3 wood. It is $179.99. Are the Taylormade or Calloway worth $50 to $125 more?
I game the ST MAX Driver, 7 Wood and 4 Hybrid. and Game the ST-G Ti 5 wood cranked to 16 degrees. 7 wood cranked to 19 degrees. They ARE PHENOMENIAL. So forgiving, so easy to hit. the 5 wood goes further than any 3 wood I have hit, with more hit and more spin. Driver is the most forgiving driver ever created. Mizuno woods are top notch. And with their fathers day sale where everything dropped like crazy, it'd be silly not to get one of them.

If replaced woods every year with latest greatest,it cost fortune,most people cannot afford to change clubs,I had a 3 and 5 Callaway xr in bag since 2016 and they still as good at the latest greatest.

I hardly ever if at all see anyone playing any Mizuno woods… Why, like you said they’re never the longest or the straightest. So why would you. Now irons? Lots of Mizuno irons. Numerous friends I’ve played with have bagged em and so did I for several years. Just makes you think if they even make profits in the woods department?
