I could watch this guy build anything. It's awesome he's been able to make a career so big that now he's able to build whatever he wants when he wants. It's like watching chiefs cook on those kitchen shows where they're timed to make some meal from scratch, haha.
I totally understand Adam. 6 months ago I just got the sudden urge to build my own desk just because I didn´t like the Ikea one I had. So I went to the hardware store bought all the materials I needed and built myself the best desk in the whole world and, boy I love it. And it too has a secret compartment which was actually one of the main reasons I started that project.
ChBrahm Not to mention its a money saver in the long run. The stuff they sell at Ikea, and stores like it, are all made for quick assembly and often times made from low quality material to make a profit on it. A good example for me was when I built a reptile enclosure for my pet python. I designed it to be warm, comfortable, but the enclosure could serve as a table. Will last, and looks good.
XD I got pist with a few gun company's stocks. As they weren't all cut out at what they were suppose to be. I fired up a few of my machines and got to work. Now I own 20 betufil old oak stocks. I built a few grips for a few of my knifes. I even got a fair trade of a guys consuin who shoots elk sent me the entire elk horns. It was small but that's why he shot it. Meat was bad but the horns were good. I made 8 handles of it so far. Its fun.
Adam moves with such purpose throughout the build. It really is a privilege to watch him work on something he loves. I wish I had a tenth of his creativity and ability to create what he sees in his head.
I think the best part of watching him work, for me at least, is his ability to teach the viewer exactly how he does his work. I certainly don't think that I could build anything as well as he did, but I always learn a lot from him. I think it comes with his excitement that he gets from his work.
Adam said he doesn't need the box to last a hundred years, but just imagine how incredible it would be if you were like 11 in 2100 AD or something and found this box in an attic..
+๖ۣۜ♥๖̶tacokitten๖̶ LMAO so true, I bet by 2100 AD guns will probably look alot like the Bladerunner blaster! So it might just seem like a normal gun in a box LOL.
this video, more than any other on Tested, really showcases Adam's building prowess. And I also now realise how he was using only 5% of his skills in Mythbusters.
Timo E Do you watch GMM? I think I've seen your profile pic in a comment on one of their vids. Oh crap, now I sound creepy... I don't mean to be weird, I just recognize it!!
As a kid I used to draw treasure island maps, and weather and age them using cold tea. Then put them in the oven to make them crinkly! This was a great episode. Mr Savage is a truly talented man.
I really wish he'd used a beautiful Crimson velvet for the lining, I feel a case like that deserves something a bit classier than a cheap bit of felt... But even so, the case just by its self is a masterpiece! You could place it in a gallery and it could almost tell you the story of its life!!!
Nik Browne old fashioned boxes had velvet as it doesn't damage the item inside ... I used to play brass instruments and even instruments from hundreds of years ago came in boxes like that and had green or dark red VELVET so they don't get scratched when being taken in and out of the box... after a while the felt will discolour the item inside as it's fibres are matted together and it becomes abrasive... it would make more sense in a protective box that the box it's self would not damage the item ....
I'm obsessed with boxes too! This is a masterpiece. There's only one thing missing from your Blade Runner collection Adam- you need a small evidence baggie with synthetic snake scales; no real animals allowed. It's a mixture of the snake scales and the sliver of reflection that breaks the case open. I love the original Blade Runner, I've seen it quite a few times (owning a VHS & DVD copy). The music that plays during the scene when Harrison Ford walks through the market, without fail, makes my dog howl every time. In fact she had never howled up to that point. It was late at night, I put in Blade Runner while she was snoring (literally) in bed and that scene started. Her eyes popped open, she got this uneasy look across her face, eyes wide, skin taunt, and she howled this deep uncertain howl. I started giggling and it instantly made her stop. She had this expression on her face, almost like "What the hell is coming out of me?" and because I reacted to it, "Uh oh!" So I had to stifle my laugh, couldn't even cover my mouth because that too made her question. Needless to say overtime she realized there was nothing wrong with howling and being the awesome Mommy I am, I recorded the sound from that scene and repeatedly played it for her Grandma and Uncle. hahaha
I almost feel like the interior of the box needs a big maintenance diagram sticker for the gun. Like an engineering line blow-up showing the parts of the gun in orthoscopic. Right under the gun on the front of the secret compartment door.
This was an ultra cool video/build. Adam has some serious skills. The kinda stuff I love to watch. I crafted an armoire out of wood like 17 years ago from just a few basic tools that my mom still uses & I'm pretty proud of, but I wish I had the knowledge and resources that Adam has for making creations such as this.
I wish I had a hardware store as a garage like Adam does. I'm a builder myself, but for us limited folks, we improvise with what we got. But, I love how Adam does the same thing in his thinking and also I know even he doesn't have everything, but his improvisations elaborately teach us innovators how to even better ourselves. So, I've learned, it's not about what u got but how u use what u got!
Adam, you make creating awesome boxes look so easy, its inspiring. You could always turn to box building as a business. Think of all the other collectors out there.
for a hobby it's better to get the smaller cheaper versions of his tools. they aren't that hard to get and if you buy secondhand you can get some super cheap though not high quality but if you're not doing professional work you don't need it to be the highest quality.
Adam is literally my hero. I love watching him work and explain everything. What I don't like is the "side-kick" kissing Adam's butt after every comment. It seems that he doesn't even know what a screwdriver is. I wish it was just Adam and Jaime.
Well, Tested was around long before Adam and Jamie went anywhere near it, and was part of a group of sites known as Whiskey Media, which included gaming website Giantbomb. The "side-kick" also known as Norman Chan and Will Smith (not the actor) were the original founders of Tested and Norm is merely presenting to people watching who might not know exactly what they are talking about.
I understand what you are saying, and I kinda agree. However, I guess the idea with a sidekick - specially on a show like this where there is not much of a script, the sidekick supplements any details that may not have come across to the general audience the first time. But since Adam is great narrator anyway - there isn't that much to do for the other person, but they can't stay mute 90% of the time. Also making kind of a dialogue is much more interesting to listen to than just a monologue like "first I did this and then I did that".
I would have to agree with everything you said. It feels like Norman keeps forcing his own words in everywhere and nearly ruins the video. Love all of Adam's tips and tricks but Norman doesn't seem to know what he's talking about every time he chimes in. Nothing against the guy but he should really lighten up.
Can't blame him really. Going to his shop is probably kind of like going to a candy store. And then you get to meet the guy who made the shop, and who's making candy in the shop. I'd imagine you'd get kind of taken away by the whole experience.
When I was doing my welding pre-apprentiship a few years ago while I was still in school, they drilled into you "measure twice, cut once" damn-near constantly. And since then it's ruined my life if I'm being honest. It's made me overly cautious about everything and just generally unsure. Since finding these videos though, Adams Motto of "measure and cut once, hide the crimes later." Has really helped me. The spontaneity and freedom of this mindset is just so liberating. Making things is actually fun again. :) Thank you Mr. Savage.
I build furniture and just about anything in my shop and have been doing it for 40 years and I know I still get the feeling he did. The work one does is a part of you especially when it is created from the head and not plans. The satisfaction never goes away.
+newstart49 You have basically just made me completely regret training as a mechanic and not a carpenter/joiner. However, your username is also "new start". So... yeah haha. I love building stuff and job satisfaction is probably the biggest motive I have when looking for what I want to do.
Watching this episode was an absolute delight and seeing Adams genuine enthusiasm and excitment shine through was incredible. The portions where he's really focused and concentrating and chewing his tongue made me smile also as it's something my Dad did when he was busy making things and thinking through it.
They should use this in the Blade Runner sequel. Dekard gets pulled back in for one last big mission and pulls this case out from the back of a cluttered closet. Then cut to a close up of the case as he opens it, grabs the gun and rifles through the compartments, snatching up a few other things he needs and heads out the door.
Just FYI I contacted Flax Art Supply and the black textured paper Adam used is called Skivertex. It doesn't show up on their website when you search for it but they have it if you call.
This man is gifted! There are very few people with gifts like these. I am fortunate enough to know someone like this; my uncle. Recently he purchased a 3 seater couch for his living room. He felt it was too big and instead of bringing it back he turned this 3 seater leather couch into a two seater leather couch. The couch in the end looked like it was bought that way. It was perfect, no damage to frame, leather and the joining of each ends of the couch looked like they were not tampered with.
"Theres a point where I stop imposing the story on the object; and the object starts telling me the story." ...My Mind go's BOoM. Talk about PASSION! Bravo on the build.
ruben m.b Lol I don't know why I found that funny but I did. Also, I love your profile pic!!! I have a pug named Gizmo and he makes those faces all the time.
I'm a builder by day, amature wood worker by night/weekend. I couldn't help smiling the entire time watching this video. Listening to how proud Adam was of his build during his narration is something I can totally relate to. Found his video by accident, DEFINITE subscriber!
As a designer who is very obsessive I'm kind of worried about how much of these videos I have been watching lately. This kind of stuff would eat into my time and income lol.
+Owen Prescott *I hear that brother!* I'm a (self-proclaimed lol) carpenter, and I already went out and bought that BEAUTIFUL JAPANESE SAW that I didn't know existed. No regrets here though, I've used the thing 3 times already.
If you’re a designer who enjoys this stuff then just make your life about it. Don’t worry about the cost or the time you waste it by not doing what you would like while you can.
I didn't have the big tools to cut wood. I only got a hack saw which I can't cut straight. So I brought a box instead and customized it from this video's inspiration. Added a couple boards inside for compartments, lined the outside in a black leathery fabric, added felt inside like Adam's, and add some magnetic catch to keep it closed. =)
Adam will always be on my bucket list. I'm a disabled veteran and was a mechanical engineer so now i build robots, and other fun things at home in my workshop. I just find him a true person and a true futurist as i am. Plus the wife likes him from Mythbusters, I'm only 47and he may break down in Westpoint Utah one day, and i may get to meet him.
I'd never thought watching someone build a box can be so much fun. But then again you can really feel the excitement of Adam building something very cool and unique and taking you with him on the process.
29:55 Adam: "Here's what I spent a long time making with love and dedication" *don't you come near * Norm: "Ammo" * I want to touch it so bad, yes I'm going to touch it* Adam: "Yes Ammo" *Don't even think about touching it* "so I'm going to put safely back in it's compartment.
For what it's worth; I kind of like this post commentary format better than the in-shop host kind of thing that's done in other videos. It allows Adam to focus on the explanation instead of splitting his attention. The host also has time to work out better questions and reflections. All in all it's a lot more informative this way, imo.
A lot of things hit home for me watching this video... 90% of my builds are done in my head, but the other 10% actually involves me seeing it coming together. Very interesting to hear the narration on your thought process! Well done!
Crazy... Just discovered these videos and it's so easy to watch hours of them on end. They're so enjoyable. Watching Adam's craftsmanship, his passion, his obsession--it's very gratifying. I should definitely start a project of my own...
*THANKS ADAM!* Every time I watch one of these videos I need to go out and buy supplies. I already went out and bought that BEAUTIFUL *JAPANESE SAW* that I didn't know existed. *And it's the most magical tool in the carpenting world! Your awesome, and Tested is awesome. These builds are my favorite videos!*
BTW Adam (or anybody) if your wondering *how to patina lacquered brass*, just sand it with some fine 600 grit sandpaper & then add *ammonia & salt (fast bright green patina) or lemon juice!* *(I prefer lemon juice, because although it takes longer, it comes out looking MUCH more realistic, just like it's been naturally oxidizing for years! :D)* I'm sure Adam knows this already because he's a crafting god, but I figured I'd share some household methods.
I found this channel about a week ago; subscribed halfway through the first video watched and have binged on them since. This has to be one of the most fascinating channels on TH-cam.
Holy fudge, at 2:08 Adam almost lost a finger to the table saw (It was still spinning). Watching him work with power tools always makes me cringe (free hand cutting, getting his hair up close to the drill chuck). Norman just standing in the background taking selfies is just priceless.
Haaraff yeah I noticed that too.. first he almost slid the work into the blade and then came back around and stretched out a tape measure very close to that blade... I guess they will edit it out when it does happen...
I have the same table saw and if you touch the blade with your finger a piece of steel is jammed into the blade and stops it almost instantly. It ruins the blade but at most you will have a scratch on your finger. There are videos of this on TH-cam, and this is system is activated with out fail each time.
Yeah and also don't do your drawings next to the running table saw 2:05 Sorry Adam, I like you but that's just plain stupid. Too many fingers have been lost because of carelessness. Can't even watch this.
***** At 2:12 it comes to a halt. And even if it wasn't on there is always the danger of accidentally turning it on. Sorry Adam, but if you are putting up videos like that are watched by millions you have a responsibility not just for yourself. :-(
Always been a fan of myth busters, and I only recently found this channel. Love it to death! Some of the best quality videos and decent length. Not just 2 and half minute videos. Something I can turn on sit back and just enjoy for more than a couple minutes. Love it!
the Japanese stickers are too random. one reads: "art lessons from high schools across the country". Another one reads: "cabbages and grapefruit", which clearly comes from the supper market... All in all, clearly a homeless guy owns the case
Adam is a true artiste in the grand tradition! His workmanship and conseptulization skills are phenominal! This, just like every other build in the series is a masterpiece!
Coming from someone who struggles to build a shelf I find this truly astounding, such beautiful craftsmanship. A true work of art, thank you for showing us this.
disc sanders like that don't have brakes they just slowly come to a stop unless you stop it with a rubber block used to clean it but that'll waste your eraser faster
It's funny how one shares Adam's excitement when he builds and cuts and polishes and glues faster and faster the more the plans take shape. ^^ I really admire his experience with crafting, he knows his tools and in the end the box really looks awesome.
If one was walking with the case, and slightly swinging it, how is the drawer prevented from sliding open on it's own? I saw the pull-ring, I didn't see any latch or lock.
I have watched this vid about 6 times. I think I could get into a yoga pose, humming mantras, with my old Milwaukee cordless in front of me and find Nirvana watching this....I love this man!!!!
I was thinking the same thing. As soon as he mentioned Felt, I envisioned an elegant red. Saw the green and was a little angry lol. kinda reminds me of a miniature golf course. Great box nonetheless, I still love it.
chris mcbride I think the green felt does give it an older feel as opposed to red felt, because the red felt would be saved for less serious applications, such as a nice box for a wedding ring or something like that. The green helps the look of the box immensely because it is more business like, which is partially the gun's theme in the first place, and therefore adds to the eye value of the case's match to the gun itself. I really like the weathering and such Adam did to the case too, in fact the whole case looks completely professional to me!
Mr. Savage, I have been working with fine finish carpentry for over the last two decades. You did a good job here. One suggestion that I have for you is to use a micro Pinner with 23 gauge pins for either long-term or 1 day projects. The pins are very fine and will not pronounce through the other side especially when dealing with a staple that runs with the grain of plywood. It's just a tip that will help you with your projects. As long as you have your Titebond glue and 23 gauge pins, everything will nearly become invisible. I suggest picking up 5/8 and 1 in lengths in dimension. Keep up the great work. I enjoy watching your shows.
showing the cameraman is such a coool thing! it's like behind-the-scenes quality whilst watching it. it's a very inspirational idea for me. more productions should be like that. do it more often!
This is fantastic and Adam is immensely skilled but Norman is infuriating. I’m sure he’s a great person and just over enthusiastic, but his tedious analogies, constant interruptions and obsessive mirroring of Adam’s actions every time he touches or points to something is so incredibly irritating. We come here to listen and learn from an extremely talented person but the resource is unfortunately afflicted with the constant and often pointless narration of Norman. There are times he contributes some interesting historical information in other videos and/or asks 1 or 2 decent questions but he needs to grasp the concept of quality over quantity and appreciate that sometimes it’s best to say nothing at all. Norman does present himself as an enthusiastic individual and certainly a nice person and if he just eased off on the intensity & sycophancy a little he’d make a good show host.
Find photos of this build and the completed box at www.tested.com/art/makers/453522-behind-scenes-adam-savages-one-day-box-build/
I just spent half an hour watching Adam Savage make a box.
But I feel I have not wasted my time at all.
I then made a box...it was pink and i gave it to my dad! He didnt like it... :(
***** your story is better
***** guitar. Look it up
I get that feeling when I watch porn for half an hour.
Uraneum I was thinking the exact same thing.
7 minutes in and I've realized I've totally watched this before. Still gonna watch it all the way through.
I know, right? Can you believe this video is over 7 years old?
I’m on many re-watches. This is one of my favourite objects to see created. It’s really beautiful.
Exact same

Wish I could go and learn to build from him.
P.S - Chefs*
It's like that but so much more elegant
sw204me how don't you know his name did you even watch mythbusters
It says his name in the title... pretty sure +sw204me just said "this guy" to be casual
Adam could make a video on sweeping the shop floor and it would hold my attention, Cause some awesome story would come out of it.
Tell us about your first job, Adam. I'm sure we could get an amusing anecdote from that one.

The sad part of that is that Norm would be right there up his ass. I can't even watch Tested vids anymore.
Have to admit, these last 5 months in quarantine have been some of the best one-day-builds. Just Adam and a camera.
I totally understand Adam. 6 months ago I just got the sudden urge to build my own desk just because I didn´t like the Ikea one I had. well its not secret anymore is it?

I could watch Adam's build videos all day.
+mojostevo
Same! lol
Oh just fuck already!
Fisher Carter
???
I just did, what a day!
coming back to these older videos makes u realize how much has Adam made the cave his own
I wish I had 1/10 the talent Adam does. That is an awesome display case.
Adam said he doesn't need the box to last a hundred years, but just imagine how incredible it would be if you were like 11 in 2100 AD or something and found this box in an attic..

+๖ۣۜ♥๖̶tacokitten๖̶ I am sure there are a lot more AMAZING things in his attic than this box...
that wouldn't be a hundred years
Kk it would be close enough
This is quickly becoming my favorite channel on TH-cam.
Michael 732 lol your spider is way too small to troll me
Dat profile pic tho
Adam: *interesting statement*
Norm: *restates Adam's statement*
Adam: "Exactly."
SkyKnight34 holy shit exactly
Also he nods every like 5 seconds when he doesn't talk
SkyKnight34 The more I read the comment and I think about it the funnier I find it.
Like in a normal conversation. It's kinda weird when he talks to the wind.
Norm is a pro.

I agree. Velvet would look amazing!

I love it when he says "this is one of my favorite tools", because he says it all the time.
100000%
i have a list of any tool he says that about
Time for a revisit. Look at that empty cave. And what has this video triggered a whole new era.

more boxes pleasee i really want to learn how to make them myself and there is no one better to learn from than Adam :D

Watching this episode was an absolute delight and seeing Adams genuine enthusiasm and excitment shine through was incredible. The portions where he's really focused and concentrating and chewing his tongue made me smile also as it's something my Dad did when he was busy making things and thinking through it.
Having watched BLADE RUNNER more times than I can say I can understand the desire and attention to detail. Truly inspired. WD
Leave it to Adam to make something so ordinary as a box so exciting.
Just FYI I contacted Flax Art Supply and the black textured paper Adam used is called Skivertex. It doesn't show up on their website when you search for it but they have it if you call.
Mark Lackley thanks for posting this.. I've been trying to figure out what it was called to order some.
Thank you so much, I was just looking
Bravo on the build.
on a scale of 1 to box, adam is yes.
ruben m.b Which means you rate a fart in my general direction and a drill bit.
ruben m.b .......dead.....
ruben m.b Lol I don't know why I found that funny but I did. Also, I love your profile pic!!! I have a pug named Gizmo and he makes those faces all the time.
ruben m.b I have no idea what your statement means, but I agree with it totally. But I am a serious alcoholic and have been drinking since 5:30 am...
i agree with
I love the still-spinning disk sander in the background at the start.
Every time Norm is there, it is an interview.
bswtsp21 which is a bit irritating i think. Adam explains great when he's alone
I'm a builder by day, amature wood worker by night/weekend. I couldn't help smiling the entire time watching this video. Listening to how proud Adam was of his build during his narration is something I can totally relate to. Found his video by accident, DEFINITE subscriber!
love his thought process.....so elaborate and instinctive on something that only exists in film and our mind. very cool Adam.
As a designer who is very obsessive I'm kind of worried about how much of these videos I have been watching lately. This kind of stuff would eat into my time and income lol.
+Owen Prescott *I hear that brother!*
I'm a (self-proclaimed lol) carpenter, and I already went out and bought that BEAUTIFUL JAPANESE SAW that I didn't know existed.
No regrets here though, I've used the thing 3 times already.
+cybertree Was that by any chance after seeing Adam nerding out over his Japanese saws? :P
If you’re a designer who enjoys this stuff then just make your life about it. Don’t worry about the cost or the time you waste it by not doing what you would like while you can.
I felt like I was watching some old cooking show on PBS
29:55
Adam: "Here's what I spent a long time making with love and dedication" *don't you come near *
Norm: "Ammo" * I want to touch it so bad, yes I'm going to touch it*
Adam: "Yes Ammo" *Don't even think about touching it* "so I'm going to put safely back in it's compartment.
I know a lot of it is post production magic, but he works with amazing speed !
Adam is such a geek lol I love it.
For what it's worth;
I kind of like this post commentary format better than the in-shop host kind of thing that's done in other videos.
I really want to meet Adam one day
I NEED to see his man cave with my own eyes!
29:54
Adam: "Please get your filthy paws off of my props."
*THANKS ADAM!*
Every time I watch one of these videos I need to go out and buy supplies. I already went out and bought that BEAUTIFUL *JAPANESE SAW* that I didn't know existed.
*And it's the most magical tool in the carpenting world! Your awesome, and Tested is awesome. These builds are my favorite videos!*
BTW Adam (or anybody) if your wondering *how to patina lacquered brass*, just sand it with some fine 600 grit sandpaper & then add *ammonia & salt (fast bright green patina) or lemon juice!*
*(I prefer lemon juice, because although it takes longer, it comes out looking MUCH more realistic, just like it's been naturally oxidizing for years! :D)*
I'm sure Adam knows this already because he's a crafting god, but I figured I'd share some household methods.
I found this channel about a week ago; subscribed halfway through the first video watched and have binged on them since. This has to be one of the most fascinating channels on TH-cam.
0:05 the disc sander in the back is still moving
I've been looking through the comments waiting for someone who noticed that.
Luke Hill m2
You should get tested for A.D.D. 8o)
i did and i do 8)
Its called spin down if you turn off a fan does it stop as soon as it turns off? no it doesnt same for sanders
I love watching Adam but he does make me uneasy when he uses machinery.
That’s why he’s building a blade runner gun box! Lol
7:17 WARNING! Never let your hair hang close to the moving parts of a power tool!
Jamie, give Adam a beret before he scalps himself.
man he would have lost like 10 hairs or something not that bad
*****
Adam is one smart dude and very interesting but he has cut, burned and broken himself quite a few times being a bit silly.
Yeah and also don't do your drawings next to the running table saw 2:05 Sorry Adam, I like you but that's just plain stupid. Too many fingers have been lost because of carelessness. Can't even watch this.
it wasnt turned on
***** At 2:12 it comes to a halt.
Love it!
I love watching Adam build this. Very therapeutic when you play your own Blade Runner music in the background.
4:47 "This already looks like a box."
Lol. You know. Just incase you didn't know wat a box was.
In the introduction who else noticed the disc sander was slowly turning in the background
Lucky 530 I noticed that too
It's the spirits of all the trees made into plates. That's what a flametrower is for.
the Japanese stickers are too random. one reads: "art lessons from high schools across the country". Another one reads: "cabbages and grapefruit", which clearly comes from the supper market... All in all, clearly a homeless guy owns the case
Or a crafty damn replicant
That's slang from the future
Adam is a true artiste in the grand tradition! His workmanship and conseptulization skills are phenominal! This, just like every other build in the series is a masterpiece!
Coming from someone who struggles to build a shelf I find this truly astounding, such beautiful craftsmanship.
A true work of art, thank you for showing us this.
More boxes, please👍👍👍👍
I seriously question the sanity of anyone who dislikes a video like this...
Why is the sander spinning in the beginning?!? It's driving me crazy!
disc sanders like that don't have brakes they just slowly come to a stop unless you stop it with a rubber block used to clean it but that'll waste your eraser faster
Now I want too see the movie again. Iconic story, film and acting with a sense of reality of how our world might look in the future. Great project!
It's funny how one shares Adam's excitement when he builds and cuts and polishes and glues faster and faster the more the plans take shape. ^^ I really admire his experience with crafting, he knows his tools and in the end the box really looks awesome.
Why does Norm have to touch everything? If I made such awesome props I wouldn`t let him near them... those fingers, always lurking always touching
but he really doesnt touch he has like creepy hover hands
Haha..always touching
His nephews wonder the same thing.
I really wish I had time and a place like that to bring all my ideas and projects to life. Maybe some day. :(
boo hoo hoo hoo hoo
We all feel that...
boo boo cry more
(pewdiepie reference)
If one was walking with the case, and slightly swinging it, how is the drawer prevented from sliding open on it's own? I saw the pull-ring, I didn't see any latch or lock.
This video is so entertaining I didn't realize it was 30 minutes long until it was over way to fast. Adam you are the best!
Back for umpteenth time. Would anyone one else watch a channel of just Adam building boxes and cases and doing weathering?
But Weyland-Yutani was not formed until 2099, a full 80 years after Blade Runner. You should have just used the regular Weyland Industries logo.
Watching Adam makes me feel like a lazy ass
Man, he got old. Its like he jumped from 20 to 40 in a year! (since I last watched myth busters, at least)
mythbusters first aired 11 whole years ago.
I have watched this vid about 6 times. I think I could get into a yoga pose, humming mantras, with my old Milwaukee cordless in front of me and find Nirvana watching this....I love this man!!!!
In my opinion, that's one of the best builds they've done! And I can't get enough of it!!
I would have used red felt, but anyway, awesome job
I was thinking the same thing. As soon as he mentioned Felt, I envisioned an elegant red. Saw the green and was a little angry lol. kinda reminds me of a miniature golf course. Great box nonetheless, I still love it.
chris mcbride I think the green felt does give it an older feel as opposed to red felt, because the red felt would be saved for less serious applications, such as a nice box for a wedding ring or something like that. The green helps the look of the box immensely because it is more business like, which is partially the gun's theme in the first place, and therefore adds to the eye value of the case's match to the gun itself. I really like the weathering and such Adam did to the case too, in fact the whole case looks completely professional to me!
red felt wouldve been so great
I think red-black combo would look too edgy.
9:18 He's wearing Nathan Drake's ring from Uncharted.
Mr. Savage,
I have been working with fine finish carpentry for over the last two decades.
Norm just might possibly be the most awkward person i've watched
Pine Apple lol no one's perfect you know
3,000,000 views exactly as of my watching.
My OCD is pleased.
Norm is easily top 5 most awkward person I've seen on the internet
Adam Savage is an awesome person, his passion is almost palpable.
This is the kind of show that would never be on TV. Really nice piece guys!
I don't hate Norm, but...
I actually do.
" Adam Savage makes something wonderful from scratch". Isn't that every video ever?
I love the amount of enthusiasm Adam had on this build he made me want to build so bad haha!
ever since the first episode of mythbusters ive always liked Adam's work. he is the reason why i do the stuff i do today.
