I spent 4 hours replacing the rear tube on mine today. Technical difficulties getting the axle back all the way in the slot to screw in the little metal plate that holds it in place. I’ve been biking and replacing /repairing tubes for a couple of decades of my life, but this is my first on an e-bike. For such a pain to repair, they should have inserts and slime pre installed. Also, $20 for a really basic quality tube (in 3x22) seems like a lot. The tires are quite thick though, so that’s good.
Yes, there is a lot of work involved in such a wheel change. And now imagine you have to do everything with one hand:p I hope that I can drive for a long time until I am forced to do such a job xd
@@lukesoutdooradventure Yes I have it. Bought it second hand a week ago from a woman who couldn't drive it! 5km on the clock :p I think it drives well :) I'll see how it goes later with spare parts etc.! Because I live in Germany.
That’s wild that they would say to go through a third party. NOBODY, NOWHERE sells that size tire. You can’t even find it on eBay. Your only choices are the replacement ones from rad or the vee speedsters (the only company who makes these tires, including the factory ones) at $80 each.

Yeah it’s not a fun one to replace. There were no videos online so that’s why I made this one.

Yeah it’s pretty ridiculous
Reddit says the tubes are a different size than Rad posts, that it may be best to use a 20 inch. Have you happened to try that?
