Video #7 on learn how to throw.
In this video we talk about what the arm is doing on the pole threw. When coming out of the x-step the throw starts when your front foot hits the ground. As you start to transfer your weight to the front foot you start to pole your arm into the pocket. This is a very important part of the throw because from the pocket forwards is the throw.

Elbow needs to stay up and maintain 90 degrees, leaving the elbow down by the hip will promote rounding.

Aloha Bryan, So rounding happens from standing up to straight and throwing with flat shoulders. You push your arm away from your body. You throw like you are throwing a frisbee. Your shoulders need to rotate up on the throw, head on top. This why your arm comes under your face on the release. The elbow is going to bend because there is no other why for your disc to get out front. So ya at some point of the release your arm is always going to a 90 degree on the release. Nothing to Concentrate on it's going to happen naturally. You arm (elbow) is always moving around on its release spot from a hyzer, Straight shot, to a anhyzer. Aloha Michael
