DEATHWISH ENFORCERS: SPECIAL EDITION UPDATE! Great news for fans of excellent run and gun shooters and big wobbly boobies in February 2024! The Special Edition releases on Steam on 15 February 2024, now with increased player speed, the option to edit controls, updated artwork and a brand new character! I've had the privilege to play it early and you MUST check out this new version, it's one of the very best retro side-scrollers around!
since the algorithm introduced this channel to me I have been binge watching it like crazy and it just keeps getting better I'm jus upset I didn't find this channel sooner, my poor backlog hates this channel, but my old man heart loves it
Hello! I'm really pleased that I could introduce you to some new games - quite a few by the sounds of things! And thank you for all your kind words, I really appreciate it. You're very welcome at the channel!
I will never stop recommending Huntdown to people, it's a severely underrated game that's a ton of fun. I keep it installed on my Switch just because I enjoy blasting through the levels so much.
For anyone interested, Deathwish Enforcers Special Edition has a Steam listing, with a release date of "coming soon". You can wish list it if you play on PC.
Very true. In fact, the lead developer on the game has been in contact to say that Deathwish Enforcers is due out on Steam in January 2024, priced at a very reasonable $14.99, or regional equivalent. Wishlist now!
When Contra Rogue Corps came out and turned out to be a humongous turd, Blazing Chrome was the blessing from the gaming gods that we Contra fans needed.
Just found your channel and bought Huntdown after this video, thank you! Been on my wishlist forever but this made me bite the bullet and I'm glad I did, earned yourself a sub!
Just downloaded hunt down and I am very impressed with the mechanics and it just feels so crisp. Not to mention the enemies and voice lines is not just a bunch of text bubbles
Hi! Yeah, I totally agree. It can ruin the pacing in a game sometimes when there's a load of text to wade through, can't it? I'm glad you're enjoying it, and thanks for watching!
Wasn’t aware of the Deathwish game at all and I’m a fan of Sunset Riders. The shuffling slow movement I couldn’t unsee when you pointed it out though, however I’d still like to check it out at some point. My addition to this list would include a superb run and gun I got a lot out of this year called Super Cyborg which can be found on the PS4 store for so cheap it cost me something like £1.79 at the time. It really sucked me in and I went through it on normal and hard.
The entire game seems to be based mostly on Sunset Riders so the slow shuffling is the same slow shuffle you did in that game. There were some parts where you could "run" but for the most part you shuffled along just like Deathwish. In fact i'm kind of shocked Konami didn't try and sue lol. The game is a blatant reskin lol.
@@smward87 I didn’t think about it until it got mentioned but maybe it does play the same as Sunset Riders in terms of movement. There was the slide as well on SR that was useful.
Hi! I'm pleased to say that the developer is making some tweaks to the movement and controls very soon, which should bring the speed up slightly and offer more control options. Thank you for the Super Cyborg recommendation, I'll take a look at that! And thanks for watching!

Wow! Thank you for the shout out!! I'm the lead dev and artist for Deathwish Enforcers. The steam version of our game is published by us and will be cheaper ($14.99 USD) + feature a bunch of fixes for the things you mentioned in the video (walking speed is now matching Sunset Riders roughly and controls can be changed in menu). Plus the addition of a fifth character (Parody of Roger Moore's Bond). I'm aiming to pop that out in January for Steam by mid month. It's already been approved :) Cheers!
It's my pleasure! The updates you mention will make a great game even better, and I'll be playing plenty more Deathwish Enforcers in the weeks and months ahead. Best of luck with the Steam launch! I look forward to featuring your future projects on my channel. Cheers!

Like the excellent huntdown that I bought on android, is there any chance of Enforcers coming to my favourite Galaxy S series phone? In the last year or 2 I've bought excellent versions of that, Streets of Rage 4, Kingdom: Two Crowns and Castlevania SoN, in addition to playing Dead Cells and all its DLC via Playpass for a couple years now too. Hi! That's exactly right. Should land in January 2024. Thanks for watching!
I feel Run And Gun is a better term for these type of games.
Hi! Yes indeed - a few people have said a similar thing, and I'll be watching my terminology more carefully in future! Thanks for watching!
Totally expected that to be the Megaman X 4 stage start theme, at the beginning.
Ah, Mega Man. Now there's a classic! Thanks for watching!
No iron meat?
Hi! Ah, interesting. I haven't tried that one. I'll check it out. Thanks for watching!
@@Video_Games_Forever Yw
Death Wish really blew it on realism. People simply don't carry that much coin around. Haha😜
Ha! Yeah, you'd need a strong belt to keep your trousers up with that many giant gold coins in your pockets! Maybe the characters should talk to Mario about how he does it? Thanks for watching!
death wish enforcers looked good... but i played it and it was sooooooo slow and boring.
Blazzing Chrome is good, short, not much variety but GOOD
Im gonna try valfaris, i didnt knew it even existed
Hi! The developers are aware that Deathwish Enforcers is a bit slow, and there should be a patch to speed things up a bit soon.
Valfaris is a great game - much more pacey and lots of weapons to experiment with.
And like many others here, I'd definitely recommend Huntdown, if you haven't tried that.
Thanks for watching!
This game remember sunset riders
Hi! Yeah, if you like Sunset Riders you'll love this. Thanks for watching!
This video is gonna get demonitized.😂
I just wanna say, I love the original "guns gore and cannolis" but did not like the controls on the sequel. They added an aiming mechanic.
Hi! Oh, okay, I've never played the original. That's fair enough. Thank you for watching!
