    "Validating" is the perfect term. I know the feeling exactly. Like, you don't want to see anyone doing bad in life, but you don't want to feel alone. It's good to have others that can fight alongside you and y'all can help each other.

    Sugar free, low carb, medium fat and high protein for almost 6 years now. Sugar is in most processed foods, it is addictive and it is harmful to everyone. I have lost over 200 pounds and I’m healthier than ever. You can do it, Nick! 👏🏼🎉 Stick with whole foods without labels. Cheering you on…and trying to copy your dance moves! 😂❤

    As a sugar addict, I totally understand where you are coming from. I stopped drinking soda several months ago and it made a big difference in my life. I no longer eat as much ice cream as I once did but have it every so often. Health-wise I feel so much better!Post Malone also has kicked the soda habit and he looks better than ever!

      YOU CAN DO IT, Nick!!! My advice, if you crave something sweet, freeze fresh ripe bananas and ripe berries. Use 1/2 of a frozen banana and a few of the berries and put it in a heavy duty blender and blend until smooth consistency. Instant ice cream without the horrible additives. If you want a little creamier texture, add 2 tablespoons of nonfat Greek yogurt. You will be SHOCKED how great it actually tastes. Sometimes, I toss a handful of spinach in it for the iron and leafy greens. Stay away from artificial sweetners. In my experience, it will make your sweet tooth worse, plus, it's not good for you anyway. GOOD LUCK! ❤,KIMBER(Austin, Texas 🇺🇸)😉

      As a sugar addict I feel y'alls pain. A while ago I decided to switch to diet/zero sugar soda and zero sugar Gatorade / diet cranberry juice . It's tough initially but once you get a customed and your taste buds reset you will prefer the diet / zero sugar flavor.. now days I cannot have regular soda any longer as it tastes bad to me now it almost taste like rust literally
      So while I do have the drink situation resolved that leaves my other addiction which is bread and sweet bread😅 my current solution for this is doing omad diet literary every day so I can eat bread or donuts or whatever but since I only eat once per day I have been able to control my weight this way

    Nick, we enjoy your videos and the time that you put into them (in addition to your weather career). So glad that you didn't have a spinal injury when you hit the pavement. I also go to my pantry or the fridge in the middle of the night because I want sugar. I keep peanuts on hand so that I don't drive to my Wawa for ice cream. LOL. Many of us are challenged with health; and you are not alone. Cheering for you, and looking forward to your next birthday!

    • @sherrithomas5776

      If I just stay outside and pump my gasoline, it is fine. But my Wawa has Tastycake, brownies, candy, sugar cookies, soft pretzels and my favorite ice cream. Vanilla. Open 24 hours so that does not help me stay away from the sugar. Vanilla ice cream is the best. Now my peanuts are my comfort food snack (even though I am tempted to drive there right now) 🤣

    I'm new to your channel. My daughter showed me your videos several weeks ago now and I have to click every time I see one now 😆 You bring so much joy into so many people's lives! I would never guess you have a sugar problem from the way you dance! 🤯 I was thinking you must be super healthy, going for runs, dancing til there's no tomorrow! When I was younger, I had cut most sugar out of my diet, just trying to be as fit/healthy as I could. Then in my 30s I had my 3 children and the cravings from my pregnancies did me in 😂 Ice cream became my go-to. But now that I'm in my 40s, I just don't feel well when I eat sugary things and my job requires me to stay sharp mentally, so I have deterents/consequences in my life that help keep me on track. If eating a lot of sugar doesn't bother your moods/energy level yet, I can see why it would be a hard habit to break. If you're a coffee drinker, there are Four Sigmatic natural sweetener alternatives that are really good. There is also another sweetener alternative by Larid, Superfood Creamer that's really good. You can also use both of those in more than just coffee. If you're trying to kick coffee/caffine look into MUD/WTR ❤ I drink that during the week and save the weekends for coffee, to cut back, but not eliminate coffee. Another product I like is Ka'Chava. It's a meal replacement shake and as long as you have it without adding a bunch of sugary extras, it helps curb the sweet tooth and also gives you a lot of energy 😊 I wish you the best, especially in this short stint to your next birthday! Mine is in Sept, so you've just motivated me to stay on the narrow, but life enhancing path of better nutrition to make sure I feel my best when I get to celebrate 🎉 Hope you reach your goals of whatever you set between now and Oct!!! Wishing you and your family the best, Nick!! Thank you for being such a vibrant soul in a struggling world 🤩💖💙🙌🙌🙌 And a great role model for so many ❤❤❤ Many blessings to you and yours!

    There are healthy alternatives to ice cream. Sometimes our bodies crave certain things. I use coconut milk and unsweetened organic no fat yogurt, mix in some quality organic honey, banana, fresh organic fruit and put it in the freezer until it almost freezes. You exercise a lot so your blood sugar may dip, fruit, fruit juice, and a little honey are good ways to lift it back to normal quickly so you don’t feel so ravenous. You’re adorable, God bless you. Happy upcoming birthday.

    I quit smoking, and I quit alcohol. Both cold, turkey, both, no aids. I just quit sugar is another thing. I think part of it is because we are aware of sugar from a very young age. It is part of our youth. Sugar rings of good memories like Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween. It’s ingrained into us.

    Everyone is different and I'm sure quitting cold turkey works for some people. For me, if I'm told I can't eat something, all I do is think about that food until I eventually cave in and eat it. So, I have always found the best way to cut back on foods I love is not to eliminate them completely, but to eat small portions of them and eat slowly, so I savor every bite. Then I wait about a half hour. If I'm still craving that food, then I eat another small portion and wait again. Following that approach, your mind and body will feel happier that you haven't deprived yourself of something you really love, but you do become accustomed to the smaller portions and they satisfy you after you do this for a few weeks. And yes, you do slip sometimes and eat the whole pint of ice cream or half a pie. But I find I slip a whole lot less if I don't completely deprive myself of sweets and I have something to look forward to each day. When I do slip up, I try to make up for it by eating a really healthy dinner and/or exercising a little more the next time. Good luck!

      @burf90 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@waynewhite2314 I tried that. The way I've done it has been the only thing that has worked well for me. In my case, I'm not trying to cut out sugar completely, just cut back to a reasonable amount. But there are days when I don't eat or drink anything sweet and don't even notice, so my way has worked for me. As I said, everyone is different.

    That must've really hurt, Hope your head is OK now 💖 I don't have much sugar in my diet anyway, but I did enjoy muffins and some chocolate bars to go with a cup of tea/coffee. Then last year I found out I'm type 2 diabetic, I've had to reassess my diet and lifestyle being a single mum of 3 sons, I've done nothing but look after them and not myself. If I have coffee I have stevia sweetener,, I never have sugar in my tea, have healthier alternatives like frozen yoghurt instead of ice cream, low sugar snack bars, and protein. I also try to be as active as I can be and also go to the gym a few times a week too. It was a huge wake up call before I turn 40 in January next year, like you I'm making this year a more healthier one. Hope you have a fab 40th birthday in October. All the best 😊💖

    Nick, there are 2 kinds of people, ones that know they are addicted to sugar and those who don’t admit it. Yes, there are some people who can do sugar in moderation but its rare.

    I love watching you dance! Re: sugar... I learned while doing "Bright Line Eating" that sugar is so addictive because it lights up all the same receptors in our brains as cocaine (not that I've ever tried the latter). It's hard to give up, but I keep trying. I think you are on the right track, giving up one thing at a time.

    Ice cream! That was an Achilles heel for me going sugar free. There are some great sugar free recipes, search keto fitness club, ice cream, select vanilla no churn…really easy and delicious, and you can get creative with flavours too, BUT switch out the erythritol for allulose, texture and taste is way better. You need at least 100g in that recipe though, it’s not as sweet. I used to make it a lot, but my sugar cravings don’t hit so often and the good thing about making your own rather than having it on tap is that the moment tends to pass as you can’t be bothered 😂 Plain water ice pops work for me too.
    My sugar bingeing is I’m sure connected to adhd and dopamine hits, it’s a really potent easy one. But followed by a crash. I try and replace the cravings with another dopamine inducing activity, which works. Running and dancing are great! 😊 I’m overall way better without sugar though. Almost 2 years now! Cheering you on!

    I kicked sugar after 66 years....you can DO it, fer sure! !!! I started with organic dark chocolate with super low sugar content, then vegan high-fat protein bars with NATURAL sugar substitutes........super sweet, no sugar....hope to find those organic. Refined foods and condiments should go too, which are part f the same spectrum.

    Congrats on being sober. 🎉 I haven't had any alcohol since 1983! Praise the Lord!!😊 I used to eat 2 gallons of ice cream per week back in the late 90's, early 2000's. When I needed hip replacement surgery I knew that meant I wouldn't be very mobile for at least 6 weeks which meant if I kept eating like that I could gain 40 lbs quickly. I got delivered by not buying any before my surgery and I didn't request anyone to bring me any. Now I'm semi lactose intolerant. 😮Fast forward years later I've binged on brownies and sweet potato cake off and on. I've cut way down this year and have lost 22 lbs since January. No, there's no exercising at all due to some other physical challenges. You can do this Nick. I believe it; God will help you achieve it 😊

    Thank you so much for your vlog and especially the amazing dance videos. I am working on the same thing with sugar. One thing I'm finding tough is letting go of the guilt if I slip up. Sugar addiction is a real deal. I like to learn from a scientist who did extensive research on this, and also had her own personal experience: Dr. Susan Pierce Thompson. She kicked drugs AND sugar and said sugar was way harder. I agree! Keep going! Keep sharing. One day at a time.

      @OfficialNickKosir  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not saying you need it, but there is recovery for sugar addiction, which is common among (though not exclusive to) people who suffer from eating disorders. If you ever decide you want or need it, treatment centers and 12 step programs like OA, ABA and EDA are all over the country. Good luck with your journey. Sugar is a particularly difficult addiction to get a handle on, and a lot of medical professionals aren't educated about it at all, despite the growing body of research on the subject. No one has to go it alone.

A1C was up , now I use honey ( organic ) in coffee , tea , not only thing I quit , was salt .. in hospital in Jan 2023, , getting these headaches migraines ( for a month ) , thought it was veritgo cause behind the ear ,...turned out to be my heart ( cardiomyopathy) .& BP issures ,, .have the best drs , when they did the CT scan last month vs JAN noticed very much improvement .. Still dealing with BP issues dealing with newer medication .. quit drinking sodas over 25 years ago , during cancer , and butters ( only one I do use is European Butter , Kerrygold Irish butter )

    Eating nutrient dense foods is actually a good way to not crave sugar. Dr. Fuhrman of Eat To Live says GBOMBS daily (Greens, Beans, Onion, Mushrooms, Berries, Seeds). Basically eat real food, stay away from processed and cravings lessen. Love watching you dance. I wanna learn. I’m old but, but not too old to learn!
