    Not surprised... FIA regularly change things when they find a team hasn't been working within the "spirit" of the rules. Look at things like Mercedes' DAS system a few ago, whatever it was Ferrari were doing with fuel flow/fuel mix that made their engines rockets a few years ago then suddenly had a huge drop off, Williams' various driver assists they had in the 1993 FW15 and even Brawn GP's Double Diffuser... nobody should be surprised by this. Engineers find a way to bend the rules to get an advantage, FIA discover it (usually by other teams complaining) and then those loopholes get closed

    • @foldionepapyrus3441
      @foldionepapyrus3441 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Things like the DAS, F-duct and Double Diffuser are nothing at all like the Ferrari engine or this - the first ones are openly discussed, debated, and the rules loophole if any is revealed and eventually either fixed (usually for next year) or simply become part of the sport with every team going on to do it - as it is actually clearly legal, and simply nobody else had thought of it yet... This and the Ferrari engine scream we blatantly cheated and to avoid embarrassment for the sport as whole the rules get 'clarified' so everyone can pretend we were being genuinely clever within the rules, rather than having no real defence for our actions, it being clearly against the rules already even if you could pay a fortune in rules lawyer to try and obfuscate that fact....

      @@NJTRAF Didn't say it didn't, but may of these sort of things are handled with transparency and integrity being very evident, or at the very least closed doors to the public but all the teams representatives get to know - the way that is actually good for the sport and its image. The Ferrari engines and this RB Braking system so far are not being handled that way, and just taint the sport.
      Which as much as I hate to say it makes me miss that cockroach Bernie... As since his time ended F1 seems to have been letting major transgressions slide, where everyone knows there was something going on, but nobody but the 'cheaters' know the truth.
      Getting to the point you have to wonder if Max has ever actually won anything on merit - no doubting he is a good driver, and given the chance in a team that plays by the rules and is still competitive he might still win.. But RB has been part of scandal after scandal of late - budget cap, 2021's terrible stewarding that on the whole went his way, this brake issue... Really taints his record.

      This is how F1 works and has always worked. There's rules that the FIA set and you've got the best engineers in the world working to find loopholes. There's nothing the FIA will ever be able to do when you've got the best Engineers working to find holes in your rules

    The question is, have Red Bull become slower while the other teams have become quicker.

It is all getting too regulated to be called to pinnacle of racing anymore in my point of view. We are just a couple of steps away from equal cars and engines, only setup changes can be different….. sounds familiar like some other classes……
      Actually when I think about it. When this all seems to be correct where there is a system that can control the amount of force on a caliper when breaking into corners… This might be even a very safe thing actually….
