    Another great video, many thanks. Very good to see the handling methods, and explanations on everything and placements of systems components. I have been trolling the internet looking at where to get a Neel, which size, layout, etc and all this is of really high benefit.
    I have discovered that what is needed is someone with the experience like you have, to use your knowledge to help us find, buy, and deliver these superb yachts for us.
    Locating a decent Trimaran, having an honest appraisal done, an insurance inspection organized, any upgrades done, and then delivery organised and done, is a nightmare. It presently involves having to trust Brokers that don't sail them, opinions that are mostly based on limited experience with them, and organizing haul outs on the other side of the world is near impossible.
    Especially when you live down here in New Zealand and cannot fly due to medical reasons.
    You videos are helping us to make decisions, but finding a good value for money one to purchase is another story in it's own.

      @@carryonsailing Many thanks for your offer, at the present time I am looking at the Rapido 60 construction details, and having discussions as to possible modifications.
      It is possible that I may end up with a 75 - 80 giving extra room for crew.
      My Legal people have your contact details and will be in touch-awaiting the next venue for the Americas Cup before organizing my crew.
      Word from the inside is that it will be in the Med.

      @@carryonsailing No problem, I can clarify it for you. I want a Trimaran for a circumnavigation, taking in the next Americas Cup along the way, starting in Auckland and something fast, strong, reliable, with room for an experienced crew plus 2 "passengers".
      No children, no dogs, cats or budgies, and room for 2 paramotors, 2 flightboards, plus a yacht tender capable of tow starting a non-motorized paraglider to 1,000 ft.
      2 sea kayaks, (at least ) and one of the crew must be a competent drone camera operator. ( full onboard equipment supplied with TH-cam uploading capacity included )
      It is a "bucket List" thing, I am 63, semi-retired NZ Sheep/Cattle/Ostrich Farmer, and are cashed up.
      Although I have been sailing since starting in P Class when 8 yrs old, my offshore has been restricted to Coastal NZ and my present monohull is not suitable nor Cat 1.
      Better to just buy that decent yacht I always planned to get.
      Hence my interest in your videos.

    I've always thought that the dinghy on the Neels should store parallel with the boat instead of perpendicular to it. It's difficult to explain in a comments section but imagine driving straight up to the back of the boat and onto a rack the shape of a parallelogram that is half submerged in the water. You could board and disembark easily because the dinghy would propel itself onto the rack with the front half of the dinghy out of the water. I imagine three positions for the rack. 1. half in the water for active dinghy retrieval. 2. 3/4 of the way raised for storage of the dinghy under normal conditions. 3. 100% up and the nose of the dinghy would intrude into the living area of the boat but it would be very stable for rough conditions. I imagine a dedicated line driver to raise and lower the parallelogram rack in and out of the water. It's easier said than done but I think it's possible. Hopefully someday I'll get a Neel 47 and have a chance to try it out!

      Yes not a bad idea. However that rear deck gets submerged and if you were to pull the dingy up inboard it would take up the cockpit space considerably

    Great video and good to know that the 51 can be also sailed singlehanded. Would you be able to share additional content on tips and tricks on singelhanded sailing and maneuvers for the Neel?

    Especially loved the docking portion. It was great to get a sense of how she handles. Especially single handed.
    Do you ever wish your Genoa tracks were further outboard? Or had poles to get the clew further out?

      I use a barber hauler in very light winds, but no generally they are fine

      @@carryonsailing I too appreciated the docking section. Obviously, you can hear the bow thruster so that makes a big difference, but could you please speak to or show a video of close quarters maneuverability?
      What's you biggest 24 hour mileage so far?!

    Are your Zeus a 12´ at the helm and a 9’ at the chart table or both 12’ ?
    How is the webasto eater performing when it’s really cold outside ?

      Both 12, but now that the software update has fixed the problems with the display you could try having only one at the helm and using the link app on an ipad or android device

      I forgot to mention that the webasto Aircon and diesel heater are very very good. Although the aircon requires some Maintainance it is easy to do. the diesel heater requires none.

      @@carryonsailing A diesel heater requires to be run for few minutes every few weeks. With mine If I forget it then next time it doesn't start from the first attempt.

      No I left it on the helm. There is a ledge just above the dials and the zeus display

    Hi, could you make a video where you address the issues that Wiley Sharp was talking about. I heard you saying in a video that you don't agree with him. Can you tell more about the rolling at anchor, is there a difference to a catamaran? How much does it lean can you talk about that, does it become uncomfortable when on long passage? How does it behave in rought weather, do the slim hulls hobbyhorse less then an equivalent cat would do? What about waves slaming under the bridedeck is that different? IM strongly considering a Neel 51, I think its a brilliant design but I don't know who to ask these questions else. The neel salesreps will be biased. Looking forward to reply.

      The long story short is it is more comfortable in my view. The feeling is slightly different but no less comfortable. Underway it is infinitely more comfortable. I recommend you sail one before you buy.

    I'm just wondering: what happens if you fall in the water, are you totally wasted or can you remote control the boat back?

      @@carryonsailing haha, but aren't you afraid of that sometimes? I mean, it doesn't take much 😄 maybe a waterproof mini remote for the rudder would be great, so you can at least face the wind and swim back

      Good idea, switching off autopilot would turn the boat into the wind so actually not a bad idea.
