Great Position Breakdowns. I wish CB, FS, DT, Edge. Could get same kinda love for all the Draft People out there. Love to hear about there guys. Bcuz I can’t keep up during college season. BUT Draft season is ON! LFG!!! #CowboysNation #2023NFLDraft
Trey Palmer, AT Perry, Cedric Tillman, Xavier Hutchinson, Jonathan Mingo, Rashee Rice are all fringe round 2-5.. Really good analysis, I enjoyed the video
I had Washington as my WR7 heading into the season. Really popped watching PSU last year. Haven’t heard much hype so I haven’t gotten to his 2022 tape, will need to give it a look. He could be a nice Tyler Boyd understudy
Would love to see Josh Downs go to the colts. MPJ and Alec Pierce are deep threat/down the field threats. Downs could compliment them well, could be some solid options for their rookie QB.
I got excited when you mentioned Washington was your 9th, hes MAD underrated and when he got hurt that didn't help. Another comp I like as a Giants fan is Sterling Shepard but a little thicker, hes not ever gonna be a star in the league but he is gonna be a reliable receiver
I actually think you're higher on Hyatt than consensus I don't think I'd take him until day 3, MAYBE late round 3. Hes a pretty poor mans Darius Slayton or Mecole Hardman and pretty much just a speed gadget
@@rjharrold2907 nah hyatt can be a solid second option i feel he is closer to a tyler lockette mesh with curtis samuel. he saw a lot of volume in college and his play making ability is rare
Sounds like the Pats will have some good options in the early rounds if they decide that the asking price to retain Meyers is too much. Hopefully Belichick finally gets it right at WR if he takes one of these guys.
Great feed back …. I really think the changing of the Offensive Rules ( Concussion Pay OUTs ) really prioritized WR’s, LT and QB’s earlier in the draft even more than the last 9 years …Great tape! 💪
I think Trey Palmer out of Nebraska deserves to at least be an honorable mention. Guys got good really everything. Sub 4.4 speed, 6'4" 190 lbs, good route runner, good hands. That Nebraska coaching staff was the opposite of ideal, I see Trey as a sleeper pick. If you haven't Marcus, I reccomend looking at his tape. Even with his surroundings he had some dominant performances and if he can hone in on that I think he'll be very successful in the league.
@Sangy Wangy yeah looks like you're probably right. He didn't look 6'4" while playing but he's listed as 6'4" by Google and so I just trusted that. The official nebraska site has him at 6'1"
So glad to see Michael Wilson getting some love. I’m a total Stanford homer, but I can admit that we really didn’t give him great opportunities to show his skills. I think he’ll have a great career. Maybe not a superstar, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a 10-year career as a WR2 or WR3.
Thanks for the vid! Any thoughts on Puka Nacua as an honorable mention? Alpha WR at BYU, utilized as a dual threat rusher/receiver in the redzone, very deebo-esque but less explosive. Stats aren't eye-popping, but I'd attribute that to the poor QB play. Think he can translate to the next level?
Penn state really be having some slept on receivers over the last 5-6 years mannnn, and OSU is the wru last decade arguably , the Big Ten been deep in weapons
I agree about Kayshon. As an LSU fan, it finally looked like he turned a corner by coming back. And then he left. However, his injury was just one year. He played I believe every game this year.
Love the comments on Dell. I think if he and his team utilize his skills well he could be one of the NFL’s great receivers. Yes he’s small, but he’s become really good at making space for that reason. He is also a punt/kick returner piece who replaced Marcus Jones at Houston last year. That may also see him play more or even rise in the draft
19:03 that’s why for guys like Hyatt just let them play the Z. There’s no need to let him struggle against press. Keep him in motion and give him free releases to use his speed. The great offensive coordinators should do that.
First time tuning in but I really like the way you analyze players, give pros and cons and breakdowns you give. Definitely subscribing and turning on notifications. You have a gift brother.
Without a doubt the most helpful and insightful draft channel I've seen so far on TH-cam. You can just tell when you talk that you are incredibly intelligent and actually know what you're talking about. Keep up the awesome content man! 👏
Can’t wait til MHJ comes out next year, he’s one of the best prospects of the past few decades and has a good chance to be even more effective than his father was, and that’s saying something as for my taste he’s the 4th best receiver of all time behind Jerry Rice, Moss and Megatron when those two were locked in, but Harrison Sr. Was the most consistent dude for a decade, basically a lock to be out there almost every snap of every game of the season, quiet as a church mouse, just cooking defenders for a locked in 1400 yards and at least 12 Touchdowns. Jr has all the ball skills and route running of his dad with far better YAC ability and a better big play ability. He’s so natural at high pointing the ball and shined as the top dog while being the youngest dude in the best position room in the country (WR group at OSU). Dude is crazy special
Nice job. But I thought someone looking for a Wes Welker type might want to see if there is something to the kid out of Purdue in the fourth round. I was thinking of the Patriots with the number 117 pick. He was faster than Addison and Downs and had longer arms. He caught a lot of balls and showed great hands and an excellent work habits.
Are they gonna pay Higgins? Obviously Chase is getting his but not many teams paying high dollar to two wrs. Bengals have some tough decisions to make.
Awesome video as always Marcus! Your draft content is truly the type of high quality NFL stuff I am working towards on my channel and you just set the bar so high!
Idk scouting stuff at all, but wouldn't the fact most of these WRs being 6'0 or shorter be a really big problem when not in the slot or doing bubble screens, etc.?
not necessarily. size obviously helps and is preferred, but Flowers and Downs are good examples of guys who could go outside from time to time. its all about separating imo, if you cant separate then it doesnt matter if youre 6'4 215 and if you can separate then it wont matter if you are 5'9 180. others will have different views on this than i do tho
JSN would be the perfect Theilen replacement if the Vikings don’t end up restructuring him. Although with Flores there and the CB room being what is they probably don’t go receiver in the first. Also kinda reminds me of Jamarr chase in 2020 where the clear best receiver in cfb isn’t allowed to go to the draft😢. I wonder if they’ll ever lower that 3 year requirement.
I'd prefer Jalin Hyatt because I think his pure speed complements JJ better, stretching the field and creating more space underneath for JJ and TJ. Also his deep threat speed would help the Vikes run game. I don't know that JSN would offer much difference to KJ, or even Jalen Nailor. Also JSNs missed season worries me. In saying that I would love the Vikes to draft a legit WR2 with their first pick.
I don't think JSN will last that long. I would be surprised if he goes past 15. It depends how fast he runs. If he runs under a 4.45/40 he's guaranteed to be a top 10 pick. As long as he can continue to get open he will have high production.
I usually don’t prefer usc WRs but Addison looks great overall a great player high points the ball and is sharp with his routes. Jaxon smiths route running doesn’t look great he seems sloppy at times but I still believe he’ll be good
Honorable mentions
14:12 Rakim Jarrett, Maryland - 3rd round
15:02 Kayshon Boutte, LSU - Wildcard (2nd to 5th)
#10 1:10 Nathaniel Dell, Houston - Late 3rd
#9 5:30 Parker Washington, Penn State - 3rd round
#8 7:57 Jayden Reed, Michigan State - 2nd round
#7 11:15 Michael Wilson, Stanford - 2nd round
#6 17:34 Jalin Hyatt, Tennessee - 2nd round
#5 21:38 Josh Downs, North Carolina - Late 1st, Early 2nd
#4 23:43 Zay Flowers, Boston College - Late 1st, Early 2nd
#3 25:48 Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ohio State - Late 1st, Early 2nd

Coming back to this just to rewatch the analysis on QJ lmao
Terrible receiver. Bad hands
Same lmao
Let’s go one of the best series on the internet
Facts
THE BEST
He’s always fire every year
Great Position Breakdowns. I wish CB, FS, DT, Edge. Could get same kinda love for all the Draft People out there. Love to hear about there guys. Bcuz I can’t keep up during college season. BUT Draft season is ON! LFG!!! #CowboysNation #2023NFLDraft
Wow Marcus I was surprised to hear that you think Rashee Rice is the best WR prospect since Julio Jones, but great analysis as always regardless.
Yup he got me lol
I was about to snap lmao.
Yeah... no
Shoot I would mine Texans drafting rice in the third round him or Hyatt
Glad the Chiefs got him.
Jayden Reed getting a Tyler Lockett comp is awesome, Lockett has been one of the most underrated wideouts in the NFL and we need more guys like him
I love how he catches the ball and never takes a huge hit. But he catches the ball, the important part
Man so excited for this years draft content. Seems like each year marcus gets better and better with his evaluations.
Thank you for not just having the same top ten as everyone else. You actually give analysis instead of just mimicking popular opinion. Thank you!
Loved draft season content last year and I can’t wait for this year’s! Keep it up! (Also loving the new presentation).
i appreciate someone who doesn’t give every prospect an All-Pro comp lmao love you Marcus
Please do not change the length I like this in depth analysis there are plenty of people giving quick analysis keep up the good work more of the same.
Love that fit.

Bro saw the future

Are you clairvoyant perhaps?
I really liked Parker Washington. He has NFL receiver written all over him. He won’t likely be a star but he looks like a starter for sure.
I got excited when you mentioned Washington was your 9th, hes MAD underrated and when he got hurt that didn't help. Another comp I like as a Giants fan is Sterling Shepard but a little thicker, hes not ever gonna be a star in the league but he is gonna be a reliable receiver
😂And now I get to that
I actually think you're higher on Hyatt than consensus
I don't think I'd take him until day 3, MAYBE late round 3. Hes a pretty poor mans Darius Slayton or Mecole Hardman and pretty much just a speed gadget
As for Zay he also has outside ability unlike Downs. And he has trained with AB before so that gives context for the similarities they have
I also made the same exact comp for Addison man
@@rjharrold2907 nah hyatt can be a solid second option i feel he is closer to a tyler lockette mesh with curtis samuel. he saw a lot of volume in college and his play making ability is rare

you think Palmer is 6'4? Dude is listed at 6'1 and most likely will measure even shorter at the combine

@@alfredosauce3727 I just know I looked at him as a slot option for the Eagles so I was like surprised when I saw you say 6’4 haha
Many people don’t talk about Rakim Jarrett so happy he got a mention really underrated would flourish on the right team
Lets gooooo your evaluations go hard i love these lists
love the draft content every year- keep killing it TFG!
Your draft content is always top tier man. Looking forward to more this year!

Don't see a future for him
Damn son. Spot on with the Deebo comparison too. Not fast in routes but faster with the ball.
Zay actually trained with AB
Kayshon Boutte comp - Antonio Brown post 2018
Boutte feels like he’s definitely going to be on the cowboys😂
My top 10 receivers 2023 nfl draft
1. Quentin Johnston
2. Jordan Addison
3. Jaxon smith njigba
4. Zay Flowers
5 Nathaniel Dell
6. Josh Downs
7. Kayshon Boutte
8. Jalen Hyatt
9. Michael Wilson
10. Jalen Moreno Cropper
Honarble mentions
11. Rashee Rice
12. Parker Washington
13. Jayden Reed
14. AT Perry
15. Cedric Tillman
16. Tyler Scott
Probably the best pre draft video I’ve seen in a long time , great stuff
10. Cedric Tillman
9. Nathaniel Dell
8. Jayden Reed
7. Rashee Rice
6. Jalin Hyatt
5. Zay Flowers
4. Josh Downs
3. Jaxon Smith-Njigba
2. Jordan Addison
1. Quentin Johnston
Horrible Mentions
Michael Wilson
Kayshon Boutte
Jonathan Mingo
Coming back to this after a year and honestly this isn’t that bad of an analysis even with hindsight
Idk not having Rice in the honorable mentions is pretty bad. Also QJ as your WR1 is awful as well
Hyped to watch, for the Chargers I’d hope for Addison/Flowers in the first or Hyatt in the second.
Hyatt’s upside is overlooked. If he gets a little better at route running then watch out
All Herbert needs is someone with speed to take the top of the defense. The missing piece to that offense.
Love when you put film in the vids.
Excited for a review of this at the end of the season!

AT Perry Bro… 6’5” catches everything, decent speed, etc. Tee Higgins/Drake London type player. Probably the 5th or 6th best
There’s a lot of depth in this WR draft Class my goodness 🔥🔥🔥
Love the comments on Dell. I think if he and his team utilize his skills well he could be one of the NFL’s great receivers. Yes he’s small, but he’s become really good at making space for that reason. He is also a punt/kick returner piece who replaced Marcus Jones at Houston last year. That may also see him play more or even rise in the draft
30:39 probably the worst you could possibly do with that amount of space! Very interesting observation about getting manhandled by some corners too
The best draft series on TH-cam has returned
ALSO regarding small receivers - esp. for shorter QBs - they’re hard to see sometimes!
19:03 that’s why for guys like Hyatt just let them play the Z. There’s no need to let him struggle against press. Keep him in motion and give him free releases to use his speed. The great offensive coordinators should do that.
Love the content!
Best football content on TH-cam, appreciate your uploads
Man I’m a Bears fan who believes he will work out, but Johnston’s description here reads like Claypool, good and bad.
Using an “Impact Grade” and a Potential Grade” is super smart. Gonna be using that in my evaluations going forward
Yeah baby it’s that time of year. Thanks TFG
Comment at the start just to support you brother
Excellent video

You make the absolute best draft content on the net! You give intelligent and honest takes on the players you review. Keep up the good work!!!
Thank you!
Almost have the same list..
But I have AT Perry sneaked in as a late 2nd. If he can run in the 4.4s.. He might be one of the best deep threats
As a Princeton student, i'm curious what you think of iosivas

I’m not a scout so the player comparisons are really helpful. The ratings are a plus too.
I hope your videos all start doing as well as the Fangio video, you really deserve it purely for the quality of your work.
Love your content broseph. As a Giants fan i'm very interested in the wide receivers lol

You should add a key for the acronyms you use in the description
This draft is a lot more exciting than last years
Hope my Bengals take a speed slot guy in the 4th or later. After paying Burrow, Chase and Higgins. I don't think there's room for Boyd
Are they gonna pay Higgins? Obviously Chase is getting his but not many teams paying high dollar to two wrs. Bengals have some tough decisions to make.

Josh Downs IS a crazy contested catch guy actually. His win percentage was close to 70% on contested targets

Yes finally TFG DRAFT CONTENT!!!!!!
How do you think this WR class compares to last year’s?
