    broke down crying when Cam said "you don't know how strong you are. motherhood will help you realize how strong and capable you are". i'm a first-time + full-time working mom and my baby's main caregiver. my little one is going through a sleep regression right now and mag one month na akong running on just 2 hours of sleep pero somehow, i also don't know how i do it, i manage parin naman kahit super pagod na. i always feel like the people around me only hear my complaining and tired rants pero none of them really see how tiring it is caring for an infant who wants uou all the time na halos wala ka nang time para sa sarili mo. when Cam said those words, i felt seen and appreciated. thanks for talking about the not so pretty side of motherhood, Lau and Cam!

    I've learned a lot especially now that most of my friends are having a baby. I never taught that not inviting them may or may not hurt them. It's an eyeopener for me. Thank you.

      Thank you! I’ve just been using my kerastase Genesis. I also stopped doing any chemical treatments like hair dyes for years now. :) I also don’t use heat styling tools except for dyson if needed.

    Soo true! Things you only learn when you go through it. There was a time, I thought, when will the pain go away. Like from giving birth, breast feeding, wrist pain, and the list go on and on. But, when you look at your child, it's all worth it!

    • @Itscamilleco

    The condition on the hand, specifically the wrist, that commonly affects women during or after the first few months of pregnancy is called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome po. Its cause is usually hormonal po that causes swelling and impinges the nerve that passes in the tunnel of our wrist (carpal tunnel). That is why, sumasakit po siya when flexing the wrist since sumisikip lalo yung space and naiipit. Hope that helps po hehe. Kudos to all mothers out there :))))

      It’s actually called De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis, which is also called Mum’s thumb, as it is common sa mga new moms who always lift the baby.

    I have friends who have babies na and i have friends na wala pa. We always invite those who have babies kasi nga they need a break or a breahter. Of course, kids light up the room, masaya rin. Kaya lang minsan din naman, all we talk about nalang is about their kids nalang kahit hindi naman yun ang topic, they always make the topic all about their kids . Di na rin nakakamusta yung ibang aspects ng life.

    I think being active during pregnancy is different from all moms. In my case I am not allowed to work out or even walk since it is a very delicate pregnancy. I did try to be active on my 7th month but then after a few days I had contractractions so my ob advised again to stop and take pampakapit because I might go into labor if that continued. I was allowed to walk 37th week. The painful part for me is the labor. The recovery is smooth but ofc there’s breastfeeding so pagoda besh 😂 Anyway, all in all Moms are the best charot. Women are really strong.

    • @Itscamilleco
      @Itscamilleco  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes true! I can only imagine how hard it must’ve been to not be allowed to be active. I also had a few weeks where I couldn’t do anything and was even ordered to do bed rest. So challenging 😭😭😭

    It's true. Just recently I admitted to my hubs that I kinda feel bad about my friends because they don't invite me anymore ever since I got pregnant, and more so after giving birth. I work from and rarely go out, so there was a time that I felt like I socially died and just didn't exist anymore. Hays. But I guess that's just how life is. 😔

    • @Itscamilleco
      @Itscamilleco  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No no. That shouldn’t be how life is. Reach out to your friends and let them know you want to hang out too. :)

    Super relate. My baby is turning 1yo this coming April. I followed your vlog during my pregnancy in this pandemic.
    ECS and laughing not a good combination 🥲
    I remember being scared of feeding time especially in the wee hours of the night, 😣 I used to cry. Almost gave up on breastfeeding. But like you said moms are stronger than we think.💪
    I also relate to being desensitized with my body. Even without a cover, I breastfeed in public 😁

    +1000 for breastfeeding is more painful than pregnancy!

  • @uysheryl
    @uysheryl 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Breastfeeding should not be so painful. Maybe a little discomfort sa start. But if it’s too painful then it means need ma adjust ang pag latch.

    I felt a tug in my heart when you said you felt the love because you were with your sister and husband, and a midwife to help you out with stuff. And knowing that your family is just one drive away. 😢 I am an OFW and trying to survive motherhood with no family around, and still in a pandemic. It’s exhausting to be new parents with no one to turn to. Luckily my husband is really helpful and supportive. 7 months on with a precious baby girl and a new role I have to take, I agree with your statement that we as mothers have so much to give and we really don’t know how strong and capable we are. How I wish I was with my “village” especially during the newborn stage.
    Anyway thank you Cams and Lau for this vlog! Throughout my pregnancy I was watching your preps (yes, I went gaga with the items in the hospital bag as I psyched myself up to accept changes to my birth plan in case I end up getting a CS, but thank God I didn’t and went on unmedicated NSVD) and your videos were really helpful! My gosh I said to myself if I can come out of pregnancy as glowing as you, I’d be pleased! 😊
