It was lovely to be involved thank you Baljit Ji. I watched this conversation with my dad today.... After, I asked what did he think? He's a man of few words.... He said "He's a very kind man". I think he picked up on your expression of the Guru's message. Bani and your work in explaining it does bring so much warmth to the heart. Helps us live kinder, more compassionate lives. Thank you and the team for putting all this work in. And thanks so much for inviting me to take part. ☺️🙏☘️
Lovely to have some food for thought! 😋🤭 🙏 Apologies for the unintended pun (perhaps it was intended in hindsight)! Actually mean it in literal sense of words used 🙏 ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ | ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹਿ || 🙏
Hope we could have Gurbani katha with full meaning translations ang by ang, that would be great. All in one place. I always want to hear and listen to Guru Granth Sahib, Gurpratap granth and Dasam Granth sahib katha. I always take inspiration from Maskeen Ji, hoping something along those lines. Hope we hear soon Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh I have a question:- I wanna learn Gurbani pronunciation but i saw every one is pronouncing different words differently ( i mean teachers) and i don't know whom to trust on🥲 And why these differences exits in pronunciation please explain Is there any authentic source in written or video ..from where i can learn ... Please please reply 🙏🙏
You can listen to some Katha vachak like Maskeen Ji, Bhai Pinderpal Singh Ji Or some kirtans But remember, As long as your intentions are pure, it is not wrong. And as sikhs we are always learning, right? So keep your quest up and you will learn Also genrally what I follow is small 'uh' and small 'eh' matra are not spelled out
@@hsa007 Thankyou for reply ♥ .. I think you are correct ("as sikhs we are always learning, right? ") .... And for now i found a website mentioned by sikhnet (website) in their blog "Learning to Pronounce Gurbani" ... The website name is ektuhi ..They have videos of pronouncing complete Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji ... and their pronunciation also matches with the one i was learning ... ( i guess comments with links are getting blocked .. commenting third time :) )
I’m a 12yr old Sikh boy, in 7th grade, who wears a gol dastaar to U.S school Today I had a fight with a fellow classmate. So it all started when he got mad over a class game and pushed me. So then I pushed him back a couple of times. Then friend of mine said he was going to slap my dastaar off my head and he also said he was going to rip off my kes. He also said he was going to attack me during lunch. So I told him that if you want that then let’s fight. My classmate attacked me first and then after I won the fight but, I want to know if I did a wrong and if I did what should I do?
It's a tough call. Sometimes we have no choice. The fact that you ask this question shows that you are trying to follow hukum. Now that the fight is over, perhaps more mutual respect will follow.
I had a wonderful conversation with Jane through contemplating Guru Nanak’s Jap Ji.
