They did four very smart things here: the inventor focused on inventing, the business manager focused on managing the business, they got the proof-of-viability, and finally, they got leverage with as many high-level investors as possible in order to scale up super-fast.
Impressive. These two created something that even the most advanced computing companies had trouble doing to the point where they just gave up on it. VERY IMPRESSIVE gents. Well done with getting a deal.
Sales guy picked the right Nerd to work with too.... dude's holds wold records building large scale versions of these things and a decade of experience. Credibility through the roof.
This was really great. The inventor is confident and said that he wasn’t familiar with the company Mark was talking about, he didn’t freak out and simply said that was cool. Business partner was really great speaking to the sharks and made a great counter offer. Both of them handled rejection well and they worked really well here.
What an amazing deal at the end, very smart entrepreneurs. It gave all sharks a discount if they were ok with 5% rather than like 7, only thing stopping it would be them not wanting to team up but nobody saw an issue with it. Amazing outcome for everyone well done.
@@privacyplease64 Definitely not... they got 2 other sharks for 5% more. They all have their own special area and can really do work with this thing. I mean i liked this so much i'm probably going to look into buying one, and thats a first time out of the hundreds of episodes ive seen.
Impressive! Even a giant like Apple was not able to bring their Wireless charging product AirPower to market due to many technical issues. Also, it was epic he was able to bring all three sharks onboard.
Mark missed on this one. They will not be leapfrogged when in fact they are the frog. These mega big companies like Apple and Samsung have struggled making wireless charging become mainstream. They have released terrible wireless products, all while customers are looking for exactly this. Not only that, but I am confident that these guys are just getting started and will only improve the wireless tech space further.
In 2022 they announced that they were partnering with Tesla for a new line of wireless chargers, simply called the Wireless Charging Platform. They are doing very well!
Tough call if it's worth it, tech is scary you can come up with something then 6 months later it's dated. The room charger thing Mark was talking about seems awesome.
Mark made a huge mistake on that one. The room charger wont be a thing for long time. In future when devices consume nearly no power it will be a thing cause theres too much loss in transmitting energy over distance. But there are devices where a long range energy transmission will never (or for long time) not work. A scooter or bike batterie...
lmfao the product mark was talking about is absolutely ridiculous and wont ever be built, wireless charging from any point in the room using sound.... like bro must've smoked crack before investing in that one

It's an art of negotiation at that point. I would have proposed all 3 sharks, but definitely asked for more money. After all, they were giving up more than double the equity of the original proposal
When this entrepreneurs got home they checked their Facebook account and they had a friend request from Barbara. They accepted. She sent a message stating “I’m out.”
Why? They came with a clear intention, to get an investment. Do you not think that these sharks will give them more money down the road? This was a very smart deal, especially considering all risks, for everyone.
