You need to get your rotors turned on a lathe to resurface them, or replace the rotor and pads next time around. I've seen this happen before and it was because my rear rotor was grooving and creating hot spots on the pad. You can try ceramic pads, it will increase the durability and response at temperature. The grooves are probably because you have two different brake pads contacting the rotor in different spots. When you get your rotor smoothed out, start by gently braking with both the foot and hand to wear them in with the same hot spots.
I have seen pads come off the metal backing. But usually it makes a glorious noise when it happens. Like the others said, check for a sticking caliper, bad brake lines, or a bad master cylinder.
Frozen caliper.....replace in conjunction with new line...the rotor is most likely glazed beyond reprieve as well...but I'm just the old nut between the handlebars and the seat
If those pads wore down that fast you would see a lot of brake dust all over the rear wheel. Pads can break free of the Brake backing plate. You would have heard loud clunks if the broke free and you would loose rear brake pressure until you pumped the rear brake a few times.
The chances of the material actually separating from the steel backing on both pads is so slim to none. Hoses collapse and cause some brake issue. Probably cheapest thing to try... maybe try to pry pistons of Caliper back see if they go hard, if so Caliper craped out. Jack up back wheel see if it’s turning hard by hand
I've never seen that before. It looks like the pads just broke off the backing. How is the rotor? Is it smooth? Are there grooves in it? Is it warped? With the pads being gone like that, make sure the rotor wasn't damaged.
Grease all the pins and slide bar the pads slide on and bleed ur brakes they were probably sticking which wore them out fast and unfortunately ur disc looks scored bad now which will eat through pads real fast also

Definitely bed and break in the new pads, it'll make em work better and last longer!

That's wicked Joh but you got plenty of comments there😲

Will try this for sure. Good looking out
Sounds like your rear caliper is sticking. Next place to look is the brake line and master cylinder
Dumb suggestion....is there a leak in the lines or are the calipers are calibrated incorrectly....its impossible to go thru pads like that...

That's the same problem I have with my truck change my pads like once a year I don't know why curious if you find out
Did you grease the calipers?
Caliper is probably dragging, heating up and clamping down more.
Your brake pads were likely stuck on the rotor and cooked completely off. Could be stuck pistons in within the caliper.
