      Thats true in a sense. But u have to understand that arranged marriages are somewhat emotionally "forced". Not many ppl wud choose arranged marriage if they are given a choice. When ppl are not given the chance to meet ppl or date or anything then they have no choice but to agree to an arranged marriage. Maybe it does not qualify as "forced" but the lack of choice indirectly comes out as "forced".this is just my opinion and ive some ppl say it too.

    There is a scientific reason behind that *"Why Indian style toilets (Squat) is better than western style toilets."*

    • @girinandan5799
      @girinandan5799 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Many would say they aren’t able to squat due to their age. True. But men and women should never limit their body moments, which they started as a child. Do those everyday, and you’ll be able to do it throughout your life. Find time for physical activities that utilise the full potential of your body. Doesn’t have to be weight training. Yoga is more than enough. Learn classical dance forms and practice it all through your life. Or practice Martial arts (If available, I’d give emphasis on Kalari/ Adimurai). Learn to walk and run barefoot.
      Oh, another thing is, the time one takes to dispose of the waste. Two to three minutes is just enough. I asked some people about this and they took somewhere around 15 to 20 minutes. *Trust me, going inside a toilet carrying a news paper and reading all of it is not a sign of good health.* Being fit and healthy doesn’t *only* mean being able to bench or deading 250kgs. There are a lot of other factors.
      When we were small kids, we used to squat to lift things up instead of bending down. Who taught us that? Nobody. It’s how nature want us to be. We changed it later on for out “convenience”. Similarly, there were many things we did as kids we aren’t doing today (some still do). *Observe and learn from small kids. Pass on the knowledge to your kids and train them.*
      One of my friends’ cousin met with a problem while he was at a restaurant somewhere in Europe. His stomach wasn’t well and had to use the toilet. It was only after completing his business did he noticed that there was only toilet paper and no tap or hose pipe. Usually there would be both toilet paper and a hose pipe or a bidet. But that was the first time he had that situation.
      Even after using the full roll of toilet paper, he wasn’t satisfied.

    I seriously have trouble in actually digesting the fact that those r the things that most outsiders have in mind for India. I'm like literally crying with laughter 😂😂. I mean, who doesn't have toilets! And yeah, its a general misconception in India as well.... We have always heard " Hinduism me 33 koti bhagvan hai." Now the word "Koti" has two meanings, one is 'crore' and the other is 'group'. Sanskrit is a very complex language, where encoding is found in every single sentence. The trick is to break the code. In this instance, koti stands for group, not crore. So it is actually 33 grps of gods. When the British came and translated Sanskrit text, they didn't care to go in depth, they just used the first meaning they found. If u would like to know more, read the book "Pride of India", published by Samskrita Bharati and printed by MWN Press. It will explain everything to u , and u will get to know some facts that I can bet most Indians themselves don't know. Trust me.

    Few things that are not so much as lies but just exaggeration of what is true:
    1. Yes, large number of people are vegetarian and even if they are not, cows are still considered sacred (if not worshiped)
    2. Arrange Marriages are the most popular marriages in India. Love marriages are still a thing of big cities and that too only in educated families. Even in big cities and rich families, love marriage is NOT allowed. It's true. Specially if it's across caste or religion. Only 5-10% marriages are inter caste or religion.

    Even arranged marriages are not "forced" on the couple except in some cases. Imagine your family is your wingman or wingwoman. They just come up with a lot of options and put them in front of you. You then have a CHOICE, you go through them, meet and then decide if you like the person or not and only then marry. So there is a "courting" and "dating" period, albeit very short.

    With regard to No.7, India is actually very advanced when it comes to education. The world's 2nd toughest exam, the IIT JEE, is organized in India, along with many other toughest exams in the world. School level in India has been accepted worldwide to be the best in the world. A few days ago, I read a BBC news journal which says, among the top 1600 scientists from different countries, 1000+ are from India, which is more than 50%. And then there is an Indian saying that "the key to the vault of Goddess Laxmi (Goddess of wealth) is with Goddess Saraswati (Goddess of knowledge), which means you can be healthy, wealthy and happy only if you study well. After all 36% of scientists at NASA are Indians.

    Arranged marriages are not forced marriages nowadays 😅 its kind of like someone i know maybe my family member, friend, or someone from extended family will set me up with someone. I will meet that person, will talk with that person. If I like that person then families will meet and then marriage will be arranged. Same things happens on matrimonial sites. People meet there and get to know each other and then marriages happen. It's not a forceful thing and people do fall in love with this setup too. At this is how currently marriages are arranged in urban regions of Maharashtra. Marriages are arranged like this normally because people prefer same caste person.

    • @v27027
      @v27027 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Puja Sharma I am not sure how women treated badly is related to arranged marriage only. In my city Pune arranged marriage is more like setting up people nowadays. They take their own decisions. It's not like people don't see each other and don't talk to each other before marriage. And women's condition you have mentioned is not related just to arranged marriage. That's a different issue altogether.

    Maybe you know this already, but the term "third world countries", while now it has the connotation of being poor, so on and so forth, actually denotes those countries who weren't aligned with either the US or the USSR, and followed a non-aligned foreign policy. India, under the leadership of its first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru was one of the leaders of this group of countries.

    I'm sorry but I have to say this. Indian education system is really bad. I mean its bad everywhere. We are more in number which means that we produce more doctors and engineers than any other country, that doesn't mean that most of us are highly educated. Most students have no knowledge of their academics. many have degrees but no one has the actual skill to operate. That's why big companies like Google and Apple never really established themselves in India. because they never found many people who can operate machinery etc. I'm not shaming my nation. May be 10% of arrange marriages are forced or influenced by parents. Remaining arranged marriages are not really forced. These forced marriages tend to happen in extremely rich/politicians households or extremely rural areas.
    Even in middle class families, there are some who have too much caste feelings. They allow love marriage, only if the couple belong to same caste. That's ugly truth. Now a days, intercaste marriages are also happening a lot(which is a good thing).

    Indian Marriages: They are not usually divided as arranged or love ones. It's commonly somewhat in between. You get introduced to each other through friends and family. And the first date is with both the families. It's (arrange marriage) is like getting appreciation and blessing for marriage before moving forward. If parents have no issue with him/her let's take things forward. Its important in Indian culture where joint family structure still persists and there will be lots of interfering inevitable from both the families. This also ensures safe dating.

  • @ashishmundepi8606

    Cows and animals do have very important place in ancient hindu culture. Cows are revered on many occasions if not worshipped. Like on diwali many Hindus still offer prayers and food to cows and animals before starting the formal celebrations. People still celebrate govardhan puja and make figures of Lord Krisha and cows using the cow dung and prepare vegetarian food for Lord and later feed cows and animals with same. Modern Indians think about this in negative light but there is deep philosophy involved in same. We surely are getting literate but not educated enough to take care of our ancient traditions and culture which possess significant wisdom. In past huge population was vegetarian not just because it's part of religion but there were many philosophical reasons behind not eating animals. Sadly we are following western society in wake of looking modern and progressive by adopting more materialistic means of surviving.
