I ordered an S8 but received a S9 😂 unfortunately it's the exynos variant. Quite nice but somewhat underwhelming compared to an Xperia XZ3 which has been my main phone since last December. Will make a good backup phone 📱 though. The only advantage against the Xperia is the camera 📹 with OIS, built in screen 📱 recorder, clip tray and the slim profile. But I'm keeping the Sony as my main. Will soon order an LG G7 and Xiaomi Mi 6 both Snapdragon 845.
The hardware definitely looked more unique with the older Samsung phones. Would I want to use this today without having gotten a security patch in well over two years at this point? Probably not but I'm sure if you are just trying to make calls it'll work just fine.
Watching from my galaxy s9 exynos variant running lineage os. Using the same phone since 2019 still feels great and this phone is actually pretty durable since i drop it alot of times and it still looks good 🤣
@ Just got an S9 today and put the tempered glass on… difficult to tap screen sometimes, sometimes might have to double tap. Same for you? How do you manage?
@@justknow_it you can but there honestly aren’t enough s9 users as of now. So your video won’t be doing super great. You can just do a video showing how to install custom ROM on any old phone. The basic steps are the same anyway. Or you can just tell the people how they should start searching for custom ROMs. It’s basically just looking it up on XDA And following the steps as per the developers instructions. Bootloader unlocking, etc.
Watching this on my Galaxy s9+🙃❤.
Awesome! I'll be dropping a video on the S9+ soon. Let's see how that is also doing in 2024

Woaaaattt!! 🤣 - The fact that you got S9. I haven't had much experience with Sony phones. But thanks for sharing that.
@@justknow_it I take back what I said. The S9 is growing on me. I prefer using it over the Sony now despite having a smaller screen.
Is it good for gaming? Pls answer❤
@@YAHYAZWITA-bk9gk Naa, I won't recommend this for gaming.
@@YAHYAZWITA-bk9gk I don't do games but roblox still functions on my Xperia XZ3 snapdragon 845

Just buy s10 instead s9 has started showing its age
@@chukwuemeka951 if it uses anything higher than android 10 then no
So does this mean it can't be upgraded to Android version 10 again?
@@nathanieltandoh5726 Sadly
If u buy the S9 in 2024 can u still upgrade it to android 10? Or do u have to deal with it being on Android 8
Oh yes, you can. If it doesn't work, you might want to intall the updated firmware for Android 10 with one ui 2.5 i think. Odin cam do that job

All you need is to know how to install a custom rom
@@raymeow16 I was waiting for you to respond bro! 😁
@TheAziriusShow Great! Maybe I should do a video to show my community how to do that with Odin and then the ROm from xda. What do you think?

Makes a lot of sense not to limit it to S9. Great idea, thanks.
