I think they picked Bon-voyage cause it fit the best with the storyline to end the trilogy, after a hard battle and we finally realize that we need to be apart in order to heal (mother earth or anything really) even if we are apart we will see each other again❤
I agree. It really is a healing song.
This album feels like the history of Dreamcatcher, a best of album with all new songs.
Intro: From Us blends the piano intro from "Dreamcatcher - Mayday" with a sick guitar solo, played with the notes from "Minx - Shut Up". I think the intention is to clue you in that the album starts from when Minx was failing and needed to be rescued.
I love BONVOYAGE. Lyrically it's the story of Dreamcatcher's own personal apocalypse, told from 3 different perspectives:
1) Pre-debut Dreamcatcher (also known as Minx), who are at their lowest point in their careers and who have to make a choice. Give up their dream or re-debut as Dreamcatcher with a completely different image and sound. (verses)
2) Post-debut Dreamcatcher, who are treating every day as their last, going full speed ahead with their new image and sound, while leaving their Minx era image behind. (chorus)
3) Current day Dreamcatcher, a blend of both Minx and Dreamcatcher, who are looking back with pride and love at both versions of themselves. (intro, pre-chorus, bridge and final chorus) ❤
Bonus Minx connection: You can also see the Minx-Dreamcatcher connection in their stage outfits. They are either traditional Dreamcatcher style and colorful, or Minx style and darker. The dance also does a good job in mixing Dreamcatcher dance moves and Minx like moves.
DEMIAN is current day Dreamcatcher reflecting on the Nightmare and Dystopia era, when the Minx image was being supressed, and how these eras were their Demian. Notice how the first verse is much longer than the second verse, since the Nightmare era has more songs than the Dystopia series.
Demian is a popular book in South Korea about how we wear different masks in different situations, you behave differently around your parents than you do with your friends. It's no secret that on-stage and off-stage Dreamcatcher were very different images.
Bonus Minx connection: The first few seconds of this song is VERY similar to a slowed down, pitched down version of the first few seconds of "Minx - Why did you come to my home?"
PROPOSE is a obsessive love song, quite similar to BEcause, almost as if the Minx image took the driver seat for a moment. It feels like the moment when Dreamcatcher and Minx proposed to merge their images together.

To. You is basically Dreamcatcher's love song to Minx and how they are now embracing and love that side of themselves.
Bonus Minx connection: The synth lines and the guitar solo are mimicking vocal elements from "Minx - Like you". Lyricly these songs mirror each other, since the Minx song is about being hurt, forgetting and moving on, while the Dreamcatcher song is about healing, remembering and holding on.
I wonder if there is a "Minx - Superstar Superman" reference in the instrumental for BONVOYAGE? I'm not able to hear it, but it would complete the pattern.

The whole album is great!! At first Propose was my favorite but now its Bon Voyage. Bon Voyage as a song us a grower. The more you hear it the better it gets. I wouldn't gave said this at first but i now I think Bon Voyage is a masterpiece just like Deja Vu is to me. I really want to see them in concert again now!! I just saw Band-Maid last week so now it's time for me to see DC again.

@@BestFriendsReact the BM show was amazing!!! They definitely slayed like they always do. It was a small venue in Detroit but the sound was so good and they were so much fun. You should definitely go see them again sometime.
They totally should do special clips with RQ playing the instrumental to these songs and more. That'd go so hard

"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable!
My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity).
SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace.
There are still many things I don't know. For example, why are all three titles in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...)
The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal.
Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job! And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy!
I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!
That's a great eye for detail and interpretation, picking up on storylines and putting visuals towards an arching tale is something I've never been great at.. I'll rewatch with this info in mind! Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Love this album, I have learned the term "no skip" because of it. Also, I think Bon Voyage might be the happiest ending of any Dreamcatcher storyline (grading on a curve here). I think it ends with restoration and rebirth of the Earth, after the apocalypse has happened (Maison), and the post-apocalyptic battle has been fought (Vision). The Dreamies work is done and they need to move on for the good of themselves and everyone else, no matter how they feel.
So I have different, more optimistic, take than Spiral Warrior (which is more in line with the pessimistic endings of previous Dreamcatcher storylines). Also, I think maybe the bird is a sparrow hawk, not a dove, which is something I get from the Hermann Hesse novel Demian, not the DC song - which only mentions breaking "the sophisticated egg." The sparrow hawk symbolizes fierce independence and rebirth, while the dove symbolizes peace. Also, is SuA more of a sparrow hawk or a dove?
