thanks! pmax usually outperforms because it uses all placements and automates optimization, but running a separate shopping campaign can give you more control over bids and product visibility. do you feel like you’re missing control with pmax?
@@SamPiliero I think Google's AI getting smarter by the day, so maybe losing control isn't as bad as it sounds. In your 2024 video I saw you we're running them both next to each other. What do you prefer for an ecom brand?
google's ai is definitely powerful, but losing control can hurt if you’re not clear on your goals. for ecom, i still prefer meta for testing new creatives fast and scaling winners. once you know your top-performing audiences, plug them into google for retargeting or branded search. how’s your performance split between the two so far?
thanks! pmax doesn’t rely heavily on manual audience targeting since it optimizes across signals automatically. focus on strong asset groups and conversion data instead. what kind of audience are you aiming to target?
Really nice video, Sam! How would you recommend setting up PMAX for different countries with this setup? Should I create a separate PMAX campaign for each country, or include all our markets in one pmax?
glad you liked it! separate campaigns for each country work best. this gives you more control over budgets, audiences, and performance insights by market. how many countries are you targeting?
@@SamPiliero Thanks for the answer. Recently, we scaled down from six markets to three in order to better capitalize on the strongest-performing markets.
yes, always load all first-party data like purchasers, add to cart, and even email lists. it helps pmax optimize faster. are you running any exclusions for existing customers?
@@SamPiliero For PMAX, we're not excluding any existing customers~ but exclude the brand list like your opinion! :) Could you give some help to the META related questions I asked in your video? Thank you so much!
got it on pmax! for meta, focus on excluding existing customers unless you're upselling. as for the brand exclusions, you're spot on-keep your targeting clean. what specific meta question did you need help with?
run search ads targeting high-intent keywords and direct them to the VSL landing page. pair it with TH-cam ads for retargeting and awareness. are you optimizing for leads or sales?
Hey Sam! While grouping similar product types into one single ad group in non branded search campaign, does it creates chaos when user searches for one product and other product ad might trigger from the same ad group ?
it can happen, especially if keywords overlap too much. google matches based on intent, so if the products are similar, ads can cross-trigger. the solution is tighter keyword grouping or using negative keywords to avoid cannibalization. how are you currently structuring the ad groups?
@@SamPiliero I'm just structuring separate ad group for each and every product. Btw, can you make a video on how to structure campaigns. As you guys manage huge ecom brands which contains large number of products. I'm getting curious to know how you guys structure them from campaign to Ad group level.
How does this apply to HT coaching programs?
Only TH-camr I listen to in terms of Meta and Google ads :) Keep up the good work, this was golden!
Great content! Do you run a serperate shopping campaign aside? Or just PMAX? Why one or another?

Thank you Sam it helps a lot. The new "broad" algo is harder to master but we will succeed. Goof value!
