List of alarms: Simplex 2901-9806's on 2903-9101 strobe plates Gentex GMS's on non-functional 4050-80's System Sensor MASS Simplex 4051 (faintly heard) Simplex 4251-20's Notifier BNG-1 Simplex 4002
It’s awesome to see 2903s with 2901-9806 horns on them great to see them still standing those gentex GMS are very rare it was rare to see that many of them that replaced 4051s would’ve been nice to see those but the gms where better
Seeing those Gentex GMS horn/strobes slapped onto 4050-80 light plates reminds me of a store that used to be near my college that had those same horn/strobes slapped onto Simplex 2903 plates! A few of the 2903s still had their original 2901-9833 horns intact (they were rear-mount), and it was some kind of Fire-Lite system (originally a Simplex 2001). Some years back the whole space was gutted and remodeled into a Planet Fitness with an Advanced-branded voice-evac system with ceiling-mount Gentex speaker/strobes (from one rare Gentex alarm signal to another!)
I didn't Know Gentex Made Mechanical Horns. Im guessing that They Also used Faraday Device Judging at the fact that These Sound like the Faraday/Siemens Brands of these horns. Lovely video. It looks also as if the Original horns were 4050-80 Plates at first. Since some of the Gentex Horns are placed on the plates
Judging by that, I Think The GMS's replaced some dead Simplex 4051's sometime during the 90's. Plus, they actually fit in with the 4002 system since they have the same horn as the 9219 and the Siemen U-HN Series.
@@Goldenrod636he made a new video of the same school he inspected and this time he filmed the 4051. The 4051 is actually inside of a Simplex 2903-9101 strobe plate facing downwards!
Dang, the horns at 3:46… that’s music to my ears! Keep up the good work!
Man this system sounds soooo nice. I really love the B4 style of Vibratones horns. Keep up the awesome videos!
love the harmony the horns make at 3:41
That GMS retrofit is pretty cool as well, that's a cool system!
Continuous is the only acceptable coding for these older alarms! 😊
Not just Continuous but March Time too!
How about code 3?
@@maddixodaniel4018 that too.
@@maddixodaniel4018code 3 kinda sounds weird on a mechanical horn
It doesnt it sounds cool too bruh

Awesome test. Happy Thanksgiving!
that silver grey horn looks like it was the first alarm for the school then the 4051s with the light plates and now its gentex GMS
Damn, that T-bar at 0:44 looked like it had jaundice...

Lol that’s awesome! Hopefully I can get the 4050-80s and gms this summer
That’s a unusual retrofit old alarms on old alarms
Do you still have the 4050-80 with an orange-ish red lens and black lettering? (Me forgetting it is a 4050-83)

I think the alarms used to be 4051's. and then the GMS's replaced them but the 4050-80's were left intact.
@@burnoutteamclubbtcp7283 That's what i thought after that one horn on the old 4050-80 plate, Unless the strobe broke And I didnt notice
i know, they should have used the GMH which is the remote horn version of the GMS.
i saw a 4050 trimplate, so before that there could have just been 4050 horns
@@lukep4339 After rewatching the vid, I did notice One of the 4050 Trimplates
Has SimplexTech been here?
The gentex gms is my dream alarm

This system sounds dope, but looks like its held together with duct tape and glue.
Why are the Gentex GMS on the 4050-80?

Yes
Cool GMS with no strobe was a fail did it by chance get replaced or is it going to be replaced
It’s like 50/50 on if we’re replacing it or not. If it gets replaced I will get the 4050-80 though which is cool
Yep that would be very cool
Is there not one functional 4050-80 in that system?
They're permanently disabled.
Sadly no
Can I ask what the trouble was on the panel ? Was that just cause it was in walk test ?
The panel has a ground fault on it.
Simpelx 2903s and Gentex GMSs!
Gms!
how many 2903s were in the gym
