Good afternoon wayne the video is awesome thanks for including me and holmes lumber in it was glad to meet u and the wife. Take care of yourselves and enjoy the awesome barn that leon and his crew build you. Wonderful crew there at double L.
Hey Steve! Thanks for kind words. Suzie and I are real happy with the structure. At some point, we are going to talk to Holmes Lumber sales about building some oak cabinets to match the cabinetry we currently have. Stay safe out there on the road and I hope to see you again!
After watching this video I have more appreciation for the work my husband does. He puts up pole sheds from time to time and says it's getting harder for him to work up high because he doesn't feel as secure as he used to......could be because he'll be turning 62 in a few days. Height didn't scare me 50 years ago....but now climbing a step stool is daring for me!!!!😅 Nice shed !!! I think ours is that size. 😊 Nice to see Maverick supervising the build for you too !!!
He's just a youngster, you cradle robber! I wish I were 62 again. Most people, myself included, are more afraid of heights as they get older. I have to psych myself up whenever I climb tall trees, especially when they don't have any limbs on them. I'm constantly checking my safety gear. It's not a bad thing. It's worse if you have no fear at all - you tend to get complacent and careless. But you will never see me doing what those amish guys were doing. I was amazed. Take care and stay kind, my friend!
Wow that was fast! Glad to see you got it up before the winter. I see Maverick helped too. Did he try to herd the boys at all? LOL Hug Suzie for me, I always enjoy seeing that smile of hers. Love you both!
Yep. Maverick tried to slow the men down, but I did my best to keep him clear. It was a surprise to have them show up three days early. Love to you too!
NICE!! Just look at all the posts that Wayne could use to practice to keep his tree-climbing skills sharp! Structure will be great to keep your equipment under and a bit protected from the weather. Annnd, I hope you get cameras rolling when you string party lights and hold your first barn dance. Take care!
I like the barn dance idea 🤔??? My tree climbing skills got little use this season. People are just hanging on to their money and letting their tree care take a back seat.
Loved it. Just look at all those hat equipment 😅. Sonja needs to watch this and then she’ll understand why it took so long to build my wood storage. 10 post holes dug by hand, takes just as long no matter how big the build above ground is😂.
That's exactly why Suzie wanted me to contract this out. She was there as I was digging all those holes for the cabin deck and horse run-in, and I was using a powered auger in both cases, but still, the layout out and placement took forever. When the builder said it might take two days, she was sold! The weather couldn't have been better timed. Tuesday was rain, except for that short spell of drizzle, while the radar showed rain all around us all day. And I thought I was good on my feet in the trees. Well these guys made the Flying Wallendas look like drunken sailors in comparison 😂😂😂
Congrats, looks great. Sure wish mine had gotten done that fast 😅. I still have a lot that needs to be done to "finish" it, but its sure nice having a structure to store and work on things in. Have a great weekend.
Hey Brett! Yeah, I needed this before winter hit. All this equipment is starting to show signs of weathering. It cost me some money, but it was well worth it. These guys are top notch! Take care my friend!
Yep we got the rain you sent WP, thank you. Did you punk us on purpose to see if we noticed the reversed video at the beginning? nice trickery there! at the 21:41 mark I lost my mind!!!! yes I did look, and you know what they say "they always do it this way." yikes! Thank goodness you had the fine feathered inspectors roaming around to keep track of the progress. Nice size building WP, should suit all your needs for years to come. I'm going to take a liquid sedative now... hey to Suz the Q!..
Hey moofdogg. Hope the sedative helped to ease your anxiety. I asked those guys about their risky practices and you're right, they said they've done all their life and have not fallen. Whatever! I didn't intend to reverse the video in the beginning. I used my iphone in selfie mode instead of turning it around to use the rear facing camera. I was just being lazy that day.Suz-the-q says hi!
The bank is all shale and there is very little rain runoff on the bank, due to the rain gutters on the horse run-in. I may dig it out another foot or so. Someday, I may put some type of retaining wall back there, but for now it’s not an issue.
Have to admit, I cringed as I watched the untethered workers walking the beams and installing the roofing. 17 years as a quality control/safety inspector, I could only shake my head.... and keep watching.
One of my other subscribers, @moofdoggmike, is a safety sleuth too. His concern for my risky practices is probably the sole reason I'm still alive today. BTW, I got your check. I will be extremely shocked if that doesn't cover the shipping charges. I'm planning on sending your sassafras rounds next week. Take care, my friend!

This will be fun to watch again 🎉🎉
Love the building! So happy for you and Suzie. You will fill it soon.
I sure wish it was 10 feet bigger all the around😂😂😂. Did you see the shoutout I gave you in the earlier building videos?
Looking good !
Thanks. It’s a great thing to have finished before winter.

Good morning Wayne. Been looking forward to this video. Helene is coming thru tonight and morning.
Hi Terry. It’s way past my bedtime, but I really wanted to get this video posted. Stay safe as Helene passes your way. ❤❤

Sure looks like a great job they did for Suzie and you. Plenty of room for hay and equipment. Are you going to Bunyon this year
Yes. I will be at Bunyan on Friday and Saturday. You?
@@WaynePolcin yes
Good morning Wayne. Are you going to dig out on the bank and put some cross tie or other steps?
The bank is all shale and there is very little rain runoff on the bank, due to the rain gutters on the horse run-in. I may dig it out another foot or so. Someday, I may put some type of retaining wall back there, but for now it’s not an issue.
must be Amish crew great
What gave that away? 😂😂😂
