- Bernzomatic® Torch Experts, Cliff and Jenay, show you how to troubleshoot common torch issues.
If your torch isn't sparking:
1. Brush the ignition wire and burn tube wall with sandpaper to remove corrosion or debris that would prevent a spark
2. Ensure the ignition wire is 1/8" from the edge
If your torch sparks but won't light:
1. Gently clean the burn tube using a pipe cleaner or compressed air to remove debris that could inhibit air flow

I just purchased the TS4000 new at Home Depot. Went to use it last night for the first time and zero sparks. I tried it a few times. I am returning since it came in a sealed Bernzomatic box. Thx for this video, will keep that in mind in future.
Thank you! I use my Benzomatic for beekeeping activities and thought I'd have to replace it (again) this year. So glad I found this, as I was able to get it going again.
Time and $$ saved by watching this Video. I simply cleaned the ignition tube. And yes it had a spider egg sack in it. Appreciate your TH-cam.
That's awesome! Glad we were able to help.🔥
I have a problem with my Bernzomatic BZ8250HT@@Bernzomatic1876
Love how you only demonstrated how to remove the tip from one model only, the easiest one at that. Bravo
It's trivial to remove the nozzle from any of their torches. Do you even own one?
@@MikeTrieu some don't have removable tip at all
Thank you it ended up being a spider and WEB inside that was clogging it . I had to take it apart and clean the inside and clear out the spider and webs it was hard but I did it . cleaned and did everything else u recommend and works perfect again thank u
i have lost the tip , where can i get one to replace it ?
thank you
Ever think of engineering a torch that will consistently work?
I have a WT2301 that worked 3 times and will not light when the button is pushed. No way to take apart without destroying, total junk. Bernzomatic made quality products once but no more.
Thank you for reaching out to Bernzomatic. We are very sorry you had this experience, so we can further assist you, please email us at Bernzomatic@WTGH.com. Thank you!
I have the TS8000 and I used a full can of MAPP gas and everything was fine. When I put a new one on it didnt want to light at first.
I checked for spark and thats good then when I put it back on keep the gas adjusted kind of low and it will ignite but if the gas is turned all the way up it wont and now the flame is different. Its a more aggressive flame and is even louder. Is this the MAPP gas can maybe over filled and creating too much gas pressure or is my torch going bad?

A long time ago, I had a TS8000 fall over and it hit the valve. Afterward, the valve knob could no longer turn. Is there any way to repair that kind of damage?
Thank you for your question. Those torches if made after 2016 have a limited lifetime warranty. Please email us at bernzomatic@wthg.com so you can help you further.
My hose torch’s valve is frozen in the open position, how can I safely get it moving again?

ok..... what about.... you get a flame.. but no actualy torch action... aka the fire coming out the end is more like a TIKI Torch / large candle flame. not a work producing torch flame. Have cleaned out the end . it seems clean.
I have that same problem
Hello, you will want to clean the burn tube just like the video shows, pipe cleaner and compressed air. If that doesn't clean up the flame, please email us at bernzomatic@wthg.com
Hi everyone, does anyone knows what might be the cause of this? I got a propane torch and a 20 libs gas tank, I used for few times and it worked perfect, I tried again to use it and it has a very weak flame now. I tried with a 2 libs propane tank and it works perfect. The 20 libs propane tank worked in the beginning and it still nearly full tank, is not empty or anything like that.
