It's so frustraiting!
Lol, I wonder how they actually feel about regular people being bitter or upset about their success. Whether they earned it or got help from their parents? I don't think opinions are eating away at their life or bank balances but it's interesting to see what people have to say.
Oh, I re-read the comment and see you said regular people. Well, from my perspective I doubt they care. Most of these people feel superior to regular people and they probably only care if other celebrities start gossiping about them or what regular people say becomes gossip among celebrities or affects their work. Kendall Bella had hundreds of chances to improve themselves whereas other.. . I think any tall pretty girl given the same no of chances will succeed . It’s not even hard work if you are given hundreds of chances
What most dont understand is modeling is a BUSINESS. And that business is in the business of MAKING MONEY. if using some famous person or relative will make them money over someone they DONT KNOW will make money for the business, then they will go with the knoen entity, good or bad or indifferent
I was an assistant to one of the biggest agents in Hollywood over 40 years ago. I saw that there were only two ways to be a "STAR". You either had to get hired Harvey Weinstein/P Diddy style and sell your SOUL.....OR .... you were related to a famous or powerful person in the film industry. NO EXCEPTIONS! Just my personal observation.
They also still are allowed to do wut they want and carrer chose they choose they have a advantage and they used it in fields like that its about competition now that doesn’t mean they still dont work hard for their jobs bc they still have to stay disciplined has models so they are still doing the job how they get it might not be fair but they were blessed to be put in a family of status and some aren’t if ur not u just have to work harder very simple if u truly want something u wont complain
These women wouldn't be nothing if they hadn't their last names and the money to get all those plastic surgeries they did. Look at the real models, they are natural beauties. Kendal and Bella are so average even after plastic.
Girls, let's be clear. Models don't create anything, they just walk the runway. Their role is to make clothes more beautiful and attractive to CONSUMERS. This is a business and it needs to make a profit. So they will prefer models with familiar faces. Talking about nepotism or mediocrity borders on envy. This is not a career where you need to work hard. Just be tall, thin and photogenic. Stop it. Let's study to be doctors, lawyers or scientists. And stop feeding the fashion industry that only encourages consumerism and the destruction of the environment. Let's study!
THIS!! And those with money can more easily study successfully imo: no money troubles = good student housing, no side job needed. They can focus on becoming a really good doctor, lawyer, engineer etc.
Probably controversial, but I have no respect or admiration for models. Anyone can take a good picture and walk well if they are directed and practice for literally just 1 hour. It requires barely nothing other than luck and pretty privilege, and you can not convince me otherwise. "I'm trying to be a model but the industry is hard :(" oh boohoo you, what did you expect from the literal most superficial and most fake space in the world? You admire someone bc they take good pictures? What? I wish it didn't exist.
Nepotism is a industry wide issue. Look at your family atleast someone has a job because their dad, mom, aunt, wife etc worked in the same company & industry. The problem starts where nepos push out regular pls chances to get a shot in a industry & also the delusion of nepos not realizing their priviledge. They reject the fact that they started on the 5th rung of the ladder. It becomes a bigger issue when geing a nepo is the onoy way to get your foot in the door.
Its a bit weird that sixteen year Olds are scouted to model an image for like, young women attire. Its confusing how bad the industry is, Im 23 and haven't made it in any industry but now Im feeling like its too late for me bc all I hear is teen models and actresses getting big..
It’s wearing clothes and walking in a straight line, not rocket science. It’s not fair that only tall people make it in haute couture - but they also won the birth lottery. The fact is nepos can sell more and get more publicity 🤷🏽♀️
Hello, this is my first time watching one of your videos. I just have a question, why did people say it was Vitoria* Ceretti or whatever who said what Anok said about Lily Rose Depp? I'm confused!
Nepo babies models made "BASIC "very popular in the model world becuz most of them isn't as attractive than the 90s Supermodels ...maybe the model industry need more exceptional beauties like they had from the 80s /90s models becuz that model who's speaking about nepotism baby is why the model world seem like too be it struggling becuz she look basic asf ...no shade 😎
Yes i prefer models of the early 80s and 90s when models were discovered for their Beauty or Unique Looks. To me Kendall is just boring and Average Pretty and there are way prettier girls out there then Kendall. But i guess the whole modeling Landscape has changed today to be more about who can attract the most in Social Media and Personality . Hell i guess anybody can call themselves a model now if they got famous Celebrity Parents .
Highly attractive people are marrying rich people and creating highly attractive people. It is what it is, I get the logic with nepotism. It makes sense
I mean...so? Nepotism exists in a lot of industries and it's nothing new. Plenty of people competing in the olympics are the kids of successful athletes, many of your favorite NBA players have a pro daddy, half of Hollywood have parents with Wiki bios. You could even go back to the 1800s where kids were getting to lead companies or expeditions because of their parents. That's life, it's always been about who you know. These videos are dumb and solve nothing. You think the creative director at Balmain is going to chose a "nobody" over Kendall Jenner. Of course not. Like, be for real. And why do we even care, no one watching this video would be any closer to being a model if nepotism wouldn't exist.
Modelling is a talent? No hate but isn’t it about having the right body and face for modelling? That has nothing to do with talent. It’s what you’re born with. You’re either scouted, you audition with that face and body, or as the point of this video, the right last name. Where does the talent come in?
Hadid and Gerber although the latter looks too average for a supermodel are still OK and have what it takes to be models (a little secret - it takes 99,99% looks and looks ONLY, let's name the elephant in the room). Especially Gigi. Also Eaten Hawk's daughter (I think her name was Rose but I may be wrong) is beautiful and has what it takes. But Nicole Kidman's daughter? C'mon! And it's NOT because of her walking, let's face it, her walking is fine, it's her *gliness, the poor girl is just *gly, however political incorrect I might sound, but we all know that's the uncovinient truth.
I find Kaia Gorgeous, she is stunning the way she looked at the academy gala a week ago was just breathtaking. She also looked unbelievably beautiful at the shell movie premiere with Kate Hudson, she really inherited her mom’s beauty. She is my favorite girl of this decade. Yes my favorite current model is a nepo baby.

Though the abusers are mostly from the real *industry* of systemic model abuse … those within the fashion industry, the “recruiters”, the powerful within the fashion industry, .. & the wealthy adjacents, the “Miss” & “ Teen” pageant owners, Wex’s Jeffery Epstein, … the billionaire oligarchs who regularly dip into the stream … of young, sometimes really young/underage … aspiring models, many from relatively impoverished families in “Eastern Europe” but really from problematic everywheres. - the qualude duo - Hugh Heffner/Bill Cosby.
Very few aspiring models have bodyguards to escort & protect during the auditions, “helpful parties”, shoots, shoots at “exotic locations” (Yachting)
Blaming “Celebrities” is kind of a red herring. Kind of a sound-bite cliche. Some like to use the word “Celebrities”, as the bogeymen, to blame for everything. While Celebrities do live entitled lives, while/if they can hold on to their money, … these are just the most visible. Celebrities do not have to pursue “romance” as much. More likely the banker, a big time broker, fund manager, tech leader, the corporate board members, captains of industry, politicians, charlatans, billionaires, oligarchs, record executives.
If you’ve ever been around the wealthiest areas of LA: Bel-Air, Malibu, Calabasas … the biggest houses aren’t owned by known celebs, but by the lesser known corporate executives.
Jack Quaid seems to be the only celebrity I've come across who acknowledges his nepotism, and I respect him for that.
This is a systemic problem gurlsss!
LOVE that you’re talking about this!
Today a "Supermodel" = "tall Nepo baby" the term gets thrown around it's meaningless. Otherwise you'll remain irrelevant or it will take you 5 more years to get credit like Anok Yei.
I love stories of people being discovered at the random & work to become legendary. A good example is Johnny Depp, acting chose him while he was a broke musician & ended up falling in love with acting after a few lucky castings. His daughter Lily doesn't seem to have the same work ethic, Johnny was in an awesome TV show & making challenging movies every years to support his entire extended family & actually got nervous when he thought he'd get fired in the 80's/90s. He worked hard on the TV show "21 Jump street" day till midnight. Just Like Will Smith his kids are entitled, spoiled & they drag their feet to produce 15% of what a truly creative person would come up with in spaces other people can't get opportunities in. So we will give the Nepos 15% of the praise too.
Kendall, their mom literally have said that she got her any audition and into anything by any means. And now she's just doing it cause that's all she can do. Meanwhile there's girls who actually wanna be models out of passion and love for fashion but can't cause all these nepo babies and rich families getting all the spots for their kids who don't do anything else. It's so frustraiting!
Gigi is stunning and at least she admits it. Plus her mom was a model.
Other than that I doubt they care at all!
🌸🌸🌸love your content. It's so insightful, please keep it up 👩🏾🏫💓
Kendall had the most advantage . Everyone knew the K sisters . While only people who watched Yolanda’s show knew of her
How nepotism works :
Through LOBBYING
Well there s Anok, beautiful, talented and well recruited ❤ from a non rich /famous family
If your family has connections fine take advantage of it but kendell saying how it made it harder and how she put off hername as if people dont know who she is and tweeting how she cherry pickes her shows is next level out of touch. Like acknowledge it at least
The thing is nobody would even hate on it if they didn’t suck so much. If all of them were like Bella Hadid people would hate less.
Most art form is always done by the wealth.
Heidi klum daughter.kate moss daughter.sandy Crawford daughter.will smith kids .all many many more of them they shorter still model because of who there parents
But I still like Crawford's daughter. She is naturally beautiful and slim, definitely a model material
Kendall has had so much surgery and filler. She’s not a real model
As the others have said, 16 is not a baby. Please be consistent. Y'all cant be okay with the portrayal of these 'minors' in many popular tv shows and movies that you adults consume... but then go and act like they are too young to make decisions or be criticized for their decisions/ behaviors. IT's not consistent and very strange.
Kendall family name and plastic surgery
I'm calling it now. Kanye and Kim's daughter North. Will soon be one of these. Not saying it's a bad thing just saying
It’s every where and in every industry. Sometimes to even get into some schools, you have to come from some elite background in order to gain admission and your grades don’t even matter.
ohmg what lipstick are u wearing?
I’m not saying modelling requires no talent, but like… it’s literally just walking and looking pretty. Which means it’s also something that can be easily faked and copied, and easier for nepo babies to sneak in.
As far as I know is about looking pretty and attractive but also looking good in the clothes and being able to show them the way they want you to.
So definitely many will try to make it modelling!
IMO modeling is the hugest scam & takes little to no skill but we are gaslight to envy them & see it as some accomplishment.
People also will be OWING people FAVORS so that factors in as well I’m sure.
You are absolutely right !!
From interviews, it seems Gigi is nice. Supermodel? Absolutely not. Bella....possible. Kendall....kinda. But I'm trying to figure out why they all only shoot for modeling as an aspiration. The choice screams "pay attention to me and look at me because im just as great as my parent." It's crazy sad.
They wouldn't have any chances in the 90s, especially without all plastics
Kendall Bella had hundreds of chances to improve themselves whereas other.. . I think any tall pretty girl given the same no of chances will succeed . It’s not even hard work if you are given hundreds of chances
Nepo babies have time and resources to improve compared to self made models
What most dont understand is modeling is a BUSINESS. And that business is in the business of MAKING MONEY. if using some famous person or relative will make them money over someone they DONT KNOW will make money for the business, then they will go with the knoen entity, good or bad or indifferent
Sorry for bad spelling 😮😮
I love your necklace.
But yea, I was listening to commentary, I wish I came from privilege lol
Yes, also in movies and television
In places outside of America like Puerto Rico it's a fact of life nobody can even get a job as a cashier without connections
I'm your 1000th like!!!!!!!
I didnt know modelling required talent.
Good journalism❤
Since when is being beautiful and walking up and down a catwalk a talent?
It's def nepotism in the whole industry
2:25 she got it magically compared to the ones she looked up to
Probably controversial, but I have no respect or admiration for models.
Beckham kids prime examples. Every attempt made to make them special and over-remunerated for mediocrity.
It's modeling and the point of modeling is to bring attention to the clothes
🌸
🌸 yay!
'A' YEP, was just gonna say"' WHAT"' talent is that really,,' then!!! Please please do tell🤭😑😏
Nepo babies are also the clients and kids of clients. So its good business to use them.
Can we mention Kim's daughter North...
success in almost every industry is so inbred
Nepo babies models made "BASIC "very popular in the model world becuz most of them isn't as attractive than the 90s Supermodels ...maybe the model industry need more exceptional beauties like they had from the 80s /90s models becuz that model who's speaking about nepotism baby is why the model world seem like too be it struggling becuz she look basic asf ...no shade 😎
Kaia Gerber? She’s there cos of her mum
But unlike others, she is naturally beautiful and slim. She is definitely a model material
🌸🥰🥰
🌸🌸🌸
Highly attractive people are marrying rich people and creating highly attractive people. It is what it is, I get the logic with nepotism. It makes sense
5:51 yeahhh not a great walk it’s a shame they didn’t train her more before this…
I mean...so?
🌺
I mean, modelling doesn’t really take much talent
Nepotism encourages mediocrity because mommy and daddy have money
Modelling is a talent? No hate but isn’t it about having the right body and face for modelling? That has nothing to do with talent. It’s what you’re born with. You’re either scouted, you audition with that face and body, or as the point of this video, the right last name. Where does the talent come in?
🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Don’t care their models they get work because of how their face turned out at birth
Rich people kids being models is nothing new
Hadid and Gerber although the latter looks too average for a supermodel are still OK and have what it takes to be models (a little secret - it takes 99,99% looks and looks ONLY, let's name the elephant in the room).
Sunday was terrible😂
