After a lifetime of seeing photos and videos of the Grand Canyon I wasn't prepared for just how magnificent the canyon was upon viewing it in person, I was awe struck by it's beauty and over whelming depth and width.
Stunningly gorgeous! WOW Dave, proud of you for getting so close to the rim! Freckles wants you to tell Roodle she’ll be a lot less grumpy when she sees him next as she’s not in pain anymore once her teeth came out!
I picture Carrie hanging by one hand off the side of the van, tree branches smacking her face, and Dave calling out, “Is the antennae ok Carrie? Carrie?” Roodle sitting on the bed shaking his head! Hehe! 😂 😆 Good video! Take care. 😊🐾🍦🚐🤗

I’ve been down that road a lot lately heading to the South Bass trailhead in the Grand Canyon. Great location for camping. I would see a lot of boondockers in the beginning, close to the the south rim on my trips down the road. Thanks for posting.

I really enjoyed this video-the Grand Canyon has always been a place I simply must visit (yes I'm terrified of heights) about the time I wanted to yell at Carrie for climbing out on those rocks-voila-she finds the sunset coloring the side of the canyon a breathtakingly shade of red. Then you close the video in a "wave crashing" sound of wind. Amazing❣️❣️❣️

Great video! I can’t blame you at all Dave! I visited canyonlands and Deadhorse Park while in Utah on the same day. I would not get near the edges. I was blown away by the fact that people can actually camp at canyonlands, backing right up to the edge of a cliff…. Not me!
So glad you got to visit Deadhorse State Park! With all the National Parks in this area people usually miss it. I think it's highly underrated. Yes! I am tired of the cliffside camping! 😂😂😂

I'm fortunate to have been there and hiked down into the canyon on the Bright Angel Trail. These videos are magnificent. Seeing it in person, you get the immense expanse of the area, up, down, so huge, so incredibly massive. Imagine that, and you're there.
Last time I went to the GC we stayed at the Holiday Inn 🙁. Your spot is much better and you’re so close. Nice spot for sure. I will be venturing further in 😊. Love the GC and standing at the rim is amazing. It doesn’t even look real. Great video. Ice cream for the win 🥇

Try that Mexican dish with ground sausage that how I make mine. Sausage is about half the price of ground beef and it has more favor. I don't add corn to mine, but I'm going to try that next time. I haven't been to the east side of the grand canyon - looks beautiful.

Going in the park from Camron is the east entrance, going in on route 64 rd. is the south entrance. Good boondocking at the south entrance also. Thanks guys, very informative .

Good info! We were hoping to get out there in the fall. Maybe that's not such a good idea though with what you said about hunters. Maybe it would be safer at that time of year if we stayed closer to the entrance where there is RV parking? We're all about free camping so we appreciate your videos.
You might be fine if you take one of the camp spots closer to the paved road, especially if you are just going to stay a night or two. Let us know how it goes, we hope you have a great time. P.s. That ice cream was some of the best I ever had! 😀

We did drive back in the dark which we normally don't do but we knew right where we were going and we were familiar with the road. Thank you for the info about your notification bell not working. Great adventure ya'll If you make it to the north rim you have to go to the old school gas station with the attendant that pumps gas for you
We did go there! I am not sure what was going on but the gas price was 1.50 a gallon less there than anywhere else we have been. It was crazy. 👍😀😀😀

Which entrance of the Grand Canyon do you prefer? We noticed the Eastern side had fewer visitors, great views, and the best ice cream. 😂
