Red Works I haven’t cycled since my teen years but I do remember how it can be. And I could see myself doing the same thing in that position...except I would have an air horn.
Red Works a small tank of compressed air and a train horn would be ideal.
They need to fence off that bike lane from pedestrians
They need to lose a car lane so humans on bikes & foot get more room.
You would just end up trapping the asshole pedestrians that can't read a sign in the bike lane for the entire span of the bridge.

Is it just me or did the tourists on July 4th grasp the concept of a bike lane a lot better than on other regular days? The bike lane looks much more clear than a normal day despite the increased traffic.

Ahahaha the size of the bike lanes and foot pathes is a joke! It's not even the pedestrians fault in my eyes. Get rid of the bike paths completely and build them their own seperate lane. Wtf, America is so car central, it's ludicrous :D

Abysmal infrastructure right there. Especially towards the end where the cars have spare space and the pedestrian and cycling part is too narrow. All they need to do is move that barrier and build a knee-height barrier between cycling lane and pedestrian path.
I think I would end up with my face on a wanted poster after ridding for a month. I would ride like a hockey player with the pads and all. When someone is in the bike lane ridding the wrong way walking and doesn't move or take the hint. I would through out the padded elbow and knock them over or at least out of the bike lane.

8.5 mph? The Brooklyn Bridge is 1.134 Miles long, it took him roughly 8 minutes to cross it entirely which equals 8.5 mph.

To all tourists and locals a bridge is for crossing no standing around, unless there is an emergency situation. Also the spatial awareness of the people is awful.

Cycling is the most efficient transportation/travel method in urban environments. By far the most efficient.
I counted 27 bike riders and there was hundreds of people walking why do they need to take up half the bridge for bike riders I think the city has their head up their butt! The bike riders should walk their bikes across its not fair to the people walking.
