Don't know why but they don't look like Nickelodeon turtles. You can see that they look really aggressive. The sculpt of this figures is more closer to original comic book turtles. IMO Repaint is 10/10 as always. Thanks for the great tips.

Looks awesome! I did the black wash on my figures a few years back after seeing someone on IG do it. I ended up buying another full set of these figures at a discount store last year and have been wondering what to do with them. I think I want to copy some of your steps here only I'll paint all the bandanas red to be more like the original comic.

So I was thinking on doing it myself, just wondering is it ok to put a 2nd layer of blackwash on the mikey figure without the olive green paint? Cause I kind of like his green color already.
Why did you dirty wash the figure, then painted over the wash with green paint? Wouldn't it be easier to matte clear coat the figure to have the paint something to stick to, paint, then dirty wash?
The result are different, the black wash balance the group as a whole and then i can add the paint that makes them each special and then to make the style wash them again. but remember there is not right way to apply the steps .. its all subjective to the artist and the outcome. I would say try one way on one tutrle and the other way on another turtlle and see what outcome is best for you. :) thank you for the comment . :)

Yea the 2012 version are more like the comic book ... that ones after started to have more of a kid like.

What kind of acrylic paint do you use
I use them all ... the common ones are the ones at Walmart but I mainly go to hobby lobby and a Local art supply store.
How long did you wait for the black acrylic and water to dry?
