Mine showed up from 5K Toys yesterday. My surprise favorite figure of the year. I had to take him to work with me today to keep posing him on my desk. 3rd party figures are quickly becoming my favorite thing to collect.
I got this Turtle - after not having ANY Turtle figures since I was a kid in the 90's. I absolutely love it. The paint, the size, the disproportionate hands and head. All of it. Personally, I think they nailed it and I want the whole series now.

This is the kind of detail and proportions I wish they would do in a show or movie. It's a weird cartoony shape, but the textures and colors really scream turtle.
So I got both this and 5K's Devil figure at that same time. The size discrepancy made me go "I spent how much on this??" But then after playing with it a bit and looking at all the incredible paint apps, I do feel he's worth it. I would absolutely like to fill out the group.
I don't play with action figures. I started watching you with my husband. I still watch you one to learn more. And two your just soooo funny. Thank you. Keep being awesome.
I love this guy. The size of the body and alt head are immediately jarring, but it grows on you. We're getting such great work from different companies, it's cool to see an unknown come in, put their own spin on it, and absolutely kill it. Can't wait to see the rest of them.
I don't get these small head comments. I have the fig and it looks perfectly normal to me. Look at the head and then the chest for ratio. Then look at a pic of a muscular man and compare their head to chest ratio.
The main reason why i started this line was because Splinter was tempting, and once i seen my second favorite turtle Mikey look so good, i knew i had to have them.
I love the design and paint on this guy, and if they reissue him, then this may be my first TMNT (or Not TMNT) figure. Though I'd probably keep them in the samurai looks too. The small size is definitely noticeable when mixing him into other lines, but it also looks really good next to the Furay Planet Croc. Having four small turtles up against a huge crocodile man just looks way cooler than if they were bigger.
I've got the 4 playmate figures and love the unique sculpts down to their individual footprints. These like said are next level and I cannot wait for my spring and later autumn plus the accessory pack. I'm really excited to see winter and summer.
FANTASTIC FIGURE! I cancelledy preorder after seeing how short Leo was. Just paid almost double the preorder $ this week for him! The paintjob is worth the price tag. ZERO REGRETS!!!
I initially passed on this because of the price, and I was a bit skeptical of ordering from the company’s website. After seeing this review today, I had to have it now, price be damned. I Googled the company to see if it was possible to still get one. Well, today must’ve been my lucky day, because they actually had additional stock listed for sale. I even checked their IG page and they had a post about it.
Donnie has not been released for pre-order, other than Gundamit, and it is not sold out on there. whatever "second hand pricing" you are seeing, are sellers that are capitalizing on naïve, uninformed collectors. 5k toys is one of more known sites for these turtle pre-orders, and they have put the pre-order up. They are waiting until after the Chinese New Year, as the Fury Toys has not decided on the official size for Donnie yet, as there was a vote on whether to make him taller than they originally intended, or keep it to smaller size that is larger than "not leo" but not too much larger.
The difference in materials on the belt almost looks like it’s part of the design of the belt. Like you can imagine that it has a cotton layer under the leather for softness against his skin?? Maybe??? Yah….. haha… I love the feet too! The detail on the bottom is outstanding
I actually prefer turtles in this scale. They were short.. it always hit me as odd to see then drawn as tall as April or Casey… never liked that at all. These guys are gonna look great together imho and I really hope we get “totally not Usagi Yojimbo. And yes, these look like the Nicktoons TMnT all grown up.
This figure is stellar. I could have done with him being a smidge bigger. It fits nonetheless for me because they were small in the comics. Definitely down for Not-atello and the rest of the gang.
Those original 2012 nick turtles are some of my favorites and for fun per buck almost unbeatable. Sub $10 was a steal. I really like this. Looks great next to those old figures, but with "1/12" figures creeping ever larger, I don't know if he's got a place. Sculpt, price point, and everything is great just maybe not great for me. But I missed out so oh well.
If they creep any larger, they're not "1/12 Scale" anymore. They're gonna be the ones moving out of place with their earlier figures. "1/12 Scale" is not a movable number... it's a scale: One inch = One foot. If you have a 7" Batman figure saying it's "1/12 Scale," then they're either saying their Batman is 7 FEET TALL for some reason, or they don't know what they're talking about. These Turtles are supposed to be a little over 4 feet tall, if they were life sized; so they're a little over 4" tall. This isn't opinion, but lots of collectors keep acting like it is. It's literally how "scale" works.
@@VanDavis it because a lot of collectors do not truly understand what 1/12th scale means. Collectors mix up scale with size constantly. A lot of collectors think 1/12th figures means 6 inches, as humans tend to be around 6 feet; This leads them to think that all 1/12th figures are meant to be 6 inches, even though other creatures and characters vary in size, including humans. 6 inch is a size, while 1/12th is scale. It does not help that companies misuse the 1/12th scale label, as something like NECA, McFarlane, and Mezco tend to use 1/12th a bit too liberally. If collectors actually took the time to understand scales, then they would not be disappointed, even though this turtle figure clearly stated it was 4.7 inches in the description.
10:52 and 10:59 cracked me up!! I bought this for the Ninja version, but after opening him decided he was too cool and I needed another for the Samurai version. Such an awesome figure!
This figure is soooo cool! I like the turts but I’ve never collected em or bought any since the 80s when they had those chocolate brown colored soft plastic weaponry, (haha, so fun though) but this is super cool!… I love how similar it is to the playmates… and those tanto swords are exquisite!
i dont mind the size considering it looks like all of the next figures will vary in size. They had a voting thing up not to long ago to fight on the size. That being said i think it adds to their individual uniqueness if they all vary in size. It adds to the character vs being the exact same size and body. So I welcome the size change and variation they will be bringing to their future turtles
Thanks dude. I may have to pick this up when/if it’s back in stock. I think it’ll look good with some Mythic Legions. The price seems like a good value to me
Please don't crucify me but I wasn't collecting toys around the time of the michael Bay tmnt movies But are there any premium articulated turtle figures from those movies?

Cool figure. I prefer the samurai head look. Maybe cause the turtle head looks a bit small in my opinion. Or I just like the white eyes on the samurai head.
Looks really nice, especially the coloring and details. But the head does look small at certain angles. $50 would be fine if it was a little bigger and officially licensed, but then it might hit the $80 price point.
